Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles (National Institute for Blind Children or Royal Institution for Blind Youth), in Paris, was the first special school for blind students in the world, and served as a model for many subsequent schools for blind students.

Necker–Enfants Malades Hospital was created in 1920 by the merger of Necker Hospital (Hôpital Necker), which was founded in 1778 by Suzanne Necker, with the physically contiguous Sick Children's Hospital (Hôpital des Enfants Malades), the oldest children's hospital in the Western world, founded in 1801.

The Rue Oudinot is a street in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, France. It was named for Nicolas-Charles Oudinot. The defunct Ministry of the French Colonial Empire was located on the street.

Saint-François-Xavier (French pronunciation: ​[sɛ̃ fʁɑ̃swa ɡzavje]) is a station on line 13 of the Paris Métro in the 7th arrondissement. The station was opened on 20 December 1923 as part of the original section of line 10 between Invalides and Croix Rouge (a station east of Sèvres - Babylone, which was closed during World War II). On 27 July 1937 the section of line 10 between Invalides and Duroc was transferred to become the first section of old line 14, which was connected under the Seine and incorporated into line 13 on 9 November 1976. It is named after the church of Saint-François-Xavier, dedicated to Saint Francis Xavier (1506–1562), co-founder of the Society of Jesus.

The Fondation pour la Mémoire de la Déportation was founded on 17 October 1990 on the initiative of French Prime Minister Michel Rocard and the former Minister of the Interior. It is based in Paris.It serves as a support organization responsible for a number of unions and associations that deal with the deportations and imprisonment carried out by Nazis and the Vichy regime in France from 1940 to 1945. The foundation is one of many partner organizations of the Austrian Service Abroad (German: Auslandsdienst) and the corresponding Austrian Holocaust Memorial Service (Gedenkdienst).
