Wallingford station is a train station on the New Haven–Springfield Line located in Wallingford, Connecticut. It is served by the CT Rail Hartford Line (consisting of Connecticut Department of Transportation and Amtrak trains) and by Amtrak's Northeast Regional, and Valley Flyer. A new station with high-level platforms opened on November 6, 2017 to the north of the original station. The former station building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Wallingford Railroad Station.

The Center Street Cemetery is a historic cemetery on Center Street in Wallingford, Connecticut. Established about 1670, it is the town's oldest cemetery, and the burial site for many of the city's civic and industrial leaders. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The Wallingford Center Historic District encompasses the historic 18th and 19th-century town center of Wallingford, Connecticut. Extending mainly along North and South Main Streets, the district includes high-quality residential, civic, commercial, and institutional architecture from the mid-18th to early 20th centuries, reflecting the community's growth. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Wallingford Center is a census-designated place (CDP) comprising the primary community in the town of Wallingford, New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. It is in the central and southern parts of the town, bordered to the west by the Wilbur Cross Parkway, to the east by Interstate 91, and to the south by the town of North Haven. To the north the CDP extends (from east to west) to New Rock Hill Road, Durham Road, Christian Street, North Elm Street, Maplewood Avenue, and up North Main Street as far as Yale Avenue, where it crosses the Wilbur Cross Parkway. U.S. Route 5 (Colony Street) is the main north–south road through the community. To the north is the neighborhood of Yalesville. As of the 2010 census, the Wallingford Center CDP had a population of 18,209, out of 45,135 in the entire town of Wallingford.

The Franklin Johnson House is a historic house at 153 South Main Street in Wallingford, Connecticut. Built in 1866, it is a distinctive local example of Italianate architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. It is now home to the American Silver Museum, which is generally open by appointment or on special occasions.

The Nehemiah Royce House, also known as the Washington Elm House, is a historic home located at 538 North Main Street in Wallingford, Connecticut. The saltbox house was constructed in 1672. George Washington visited the house twice, first in 1775 while on his way to take command of the Continental Army in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and again in 1789 when he gave an address to the townspeople in front of the house near the Elm.

The Samuel Parsons House is a historic house museum at 180 South Main Street in Wallingford, Connecticut. Built about 1770, it is a well-preserved example of Georgian residential architecture. It has housed the local historical society since 1919. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Trod Nossel Studios, established in 1966 by Thomas “Doc” Cavalier, is a recording studio in Wallingford, Connecticut. It is one of the oldest operating large-format studios in the world. Trod Nossel is also one of the longest running recording studios in the US.Originally an oral surgeon, Cavalier purchased microphone manufacturers Syncron Sound Studios in Wallingford, and turned it into Trod Nossel Recording Studios. He started off his career by managing acts such as The Shags and Bram Rigg Set. Since then Trod Nossel has worked with many artists, including Fleetwood Mac and R. Kelly, as well as placing songs for television.Andrew Loog Oldham, manager and producer of The Rolling Stones was a close friend of Cavalier. He described “life on the Trod Nossel Studios lot” as “an American movie” in an interview on a Sirius Radio commentary (Chapter 6). The studio has received much press, in many news and magazine articles, including those in The New York Times, for its involvement in the industry. The Record Journal (a Connecticut paper) advocates, “In the ‘60s it was all about Trod Nossel.” Richard Hanley of Quinnipiac University said that Trod Nossel “was the key place for artists” and that Doc “embodied the spirit of the age.” Doc’s daughter, Darlene Cavalier, now runs the studio.

Choate Rosemary Hall (often known as Choate; ) is a private, co-educational, college-preparatory boarding school in Wallingford, Connecticut, United States. Founded in 1890, it took its present name and began a co-educational system with the 1971 merger of The Choate School for boys and Rosemary Hall for girls. It is part of the Eight Schools Association and the Ten Schools Admissions Organization.

The Paul Mellon Arts Center (PMAC) is an arts building on the campus of Choate Rosemary Hall, Wallingford, Connecticut designed by architect I. M. Pei. The original design began in 1968 and the building was completed in 1972. It was funded in large part by school alumnus Paul Mellon, who was also responsible as the National Gallery's president for Pei's commission for the East Building of the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. at roughly the same time.

The Oakdale Theatre (originally known as the Oakdale Musical Theatre) is a multi-purpose performance venue, located in Wallingford, Connecticut. Opened in 1954, the venue consists of an auditorium and domed theatre, known as The Dome at Oakdale.

Mark T. Sheehan High School is a public high school located at 142 Hope Hill Road, Wallingford, Connecticut. It is part of the Wallingford Public School System, and one of two public high schools in Wallingford, Lyman Hall High School being the other. Its official colors are burgundy and gold.
