Lisgoold

Lisgoold GAA Club is a gaelic football, hurling and ladies football club based in the village of Lisgoold, County Cork, Ireland. The club draws its support from Leamlara, Ballincurrig, Peafield and Lisgoold itself. The club fields teams in Cork GAA and Imokilly GAA divisional competitions.

Elfordstown Earthstation is a ground station located near Midleton, County Cork, in the south of Ireland. It is operated by the National Space Centre Ltd and is Ireland's only and Europe's most western teleport.

Water-rock (Irish: Carraig an Uisce) is a townland in the historical barony of Barrymore in County Cork, Ireland. Located in East Cork, near Midleton, the townland has an area of approximately 1.2 square kilometres (0.5 sq mi). While, at the time of the 2011 census, Water-rock had a population of 128 people, in 2015 Cork County Council published a plan for "significant" residential development in the area. The "Cork Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy 2040" (CMATS), a public consultation document published in 2019 by the National Transport Authority, listed Water-rock as one of several potential locations for a future Cork Suburban Rail station. As of late 2022, Cork Corporation had reportedly commenced some road and water infrastructure works in the area. Waterrock golf course closed in 2020.

Midleton railway station is a railway station situated in Midleton, a town in south-eastern County Cork, in Ireland. It is the terminus station on the Cork to Midleton commuter service. Passengers can travel to Glounthaune station to transfer to Cobh.It has been rebuilt and reopened as a terminus station of the Cork Suburban Railway Line. The station currently has 2 platforms. There is a train operating by the hour from the station.

Midleton Library (Irish: Leabharlann Mainistir na Corann), formerly Midleton Town Hall (Irish: Halla an Bhaile Mainistir na Corann), is a municipal building in Main Street, Midleton, County Cork, Ireland. The building, which was used as the market house and town hall throughout most of its life, is now used as a public library. It is included in Cork County Council's Record of Protected Structures.

Midleton College is an independent co-educational boarding and day school in Midleton, County Cork, Ireland. In past centuries it has also been called Midleton School. Although founded in 1696, the school did not open until 1717. It went through a period of inactivity early in the 19th century, and by the 1860s had low numbers, but was reinvigorated by a new principal and by the end of the 1870s was one of Ireland's leading schools. Originally for boys only, it is now co-educational. The school has a strong Church of Ireland tradition, and its chaplain is also priest-in-charge of the neighbouring Youghal Union of parishes.

It is 12 kilometres east of Cork city centre. It is connected to Cork Suburban Rail and is bypassed by the N25 road. Carrigtwohill is one of the fastest-growing towns in the region, and a hub for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Carrigtwohill is part of the Cork East Dáil constituency.
