Brampton—Springdale

Brampton—Springdale was a provincial electoral district in central Ontario, Canada. It was created for the 2007 provincial election. 83.7% of the district was created from Brampton Centre while 16.3% was carved from Bramalea—Gore—Malton—Springdale. The riding includes that part of Brampton west of a line following Dixie Road to Bovaird Drive to Torbram Road and east of a line following Hurontario Street to Vodden Street to Kennedy Road. In 2018, the district was dissolved into Brampton Centre, Brampton North and Brampton East.

Brampton Centre (French: Brampton-Centre) is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that is represented in the House of Commons of Canada. This riding was created in 1996 from parts of Brampton riding and in 2013, Elections Canada redistributed 3 ridings in the city of Brampton to bring back Brampton Centre. This was primarily due to large population increases in the Greater Toronto Area, and Peel Region in particular.

For the 2018 election, it was re-created from Bramalea—Gore—Malton, Brampton—Springdale, and Mississauga—Brampton South.The former riding included Brampton west of Dixie Road and east of a line following McLaughlin Road to Bovaird Drive to Main Street to Steeles Avenue to Kennedy Road.

North Park Secondary School is a public high school located at the major intersection of Williams Parkway and North Park Drive in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. It was founded in 1978, making it one of the oldest high schools in the area. North Park is best known for being one of three high schools in Brampton to offer the IBT program, a program using business and technology to enrich the learning of its students.

Central Peel Secondary School is a high school that is located in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, and it is operated by the Peel District School Board. As of 4 December 2018, the school enrolment stood at 1,216. Central Peel opened in 1960.

The Bramalea City Centre is a large shopping mall located in the city of Brampton, Ontario, Canada. With over a 1.5 million square feet of retail space and more than 300 outlets, it is one of Canada's largest shopping malls. Regarded as a super regional mall, the Bramalea City Centre has a market of more than 500,000 residents and attracts 16 million visitors annually. The Bramalea City Centre is located near the intersection of Queen Street and Dixie Road, just east of Highway 410.

10 Peel Centre Drive is a building complex in Brampton, Ontario, Canada that serves as the seat of local government for the Regional Municipality of Peel. The building has been used for regional government offices since its completion in 1980 after relocating from the nearby historic Peel County Courthouse. The complex includes the Peel Regional Council chambers and the offices of Division 21 of the Peel Regional Police. Other regional departments are located at various buildings across Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon. The original building (Suite A) is a 6-storey brick structure built in 1980. The new annex (Suite B) is a 6-storey glass, steel and stone structure completed in 2008 which has an additional 200,000 sq ft (19,000 m2) of office space. Division 21 (Suite C) is located on two floors with 30,000 sq ft (2,800 m2) of space.

Bramalea Terminal is a Brampton Transit bus station serving the community of Bramalea in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. It is located at the south west corner of Peel Centre Drive and Central Park Drive on the north side of the Brampton Civic Centre. The customer service centre building is situated in the northerly of two island platform areas, which are accessed by pedestrian cross walks. Within the building are service counters, washrooms, snack vending machines and a heated waiting area with screens displaying current bus route information.

Peel Memorial Hospital (PMH) was a 367-bed acute care hospital located in central Brampton, Ontario. PMH was founded in 1925 and became a part of the William Osler Health Centre in 1998. It previously served approximately 400,000 residents in Brampton and the surrounding areas. Over 96,832 patients were treated on an out-patient basis, another 70,446 residents used the 24/7 emergency department and 22,889 patients were admitted for inpatient care (2001 estimate). The hospital employed over 1,800 professional and support personnel. There were 320 physicians as well as approximately 600 volunteers that contributed their services and fund raising efforts. In 1997 the Health Services Restructuring Commission made a decision to amalgamate Georgetown and District Memorial Hospital, the Etobicoke General Hospital, and PMH to form the William Osler Health Centre. In early 2006, the Brampton campus of the William Osler Health Centre was renamed back to Peel Memorial Hospital, as residents continued to use the old name, a cause of much confusion. It is superseded by the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness Peel Memorial Hospital is currently funded by the Central West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN).

Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness is a large ambulatory care facility located in central Brampton, Ontario, opened in 2017. Part of the William Osler Health System, it replaced the Peel Memorial Hospital, which previously stood on the site and closed in 2007.Peel Memorial Centre is funded by the Central West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN). On March 26, 2021, the provincial government announced plans to add an in patient wing (250 beds) to the facility and plans to upgrade the centre's status to a full-service hospital with an emergency wing to be added later.

Kwakiutl (or variously KwaKiutl) is a totem sculpture by Aboriginal Canadian artist Simon Charlie, which has caused controversy for its nudity over multiple decades of display in Chinguacousy Township, and later Brampton, both near Toronto in Ontario, Canada. Charlie, also known as Hwunumetse', later received the Order of Canada. The 9-foot-tall cedar wood sculpture is best known for its exposed male genitals.
