Toronto West Detention Centre

In October, 1982, three members of an anarchist urban guerrilla group known as Direct Action acted upon "their wish to end the arms race" and filled a stolen pick-up truck with 550 kg (1,210 lb) of dynamite and drove from Vancouver to Toronto, Canada planting the bomb outside Litton Industries, a manufacturer of American cruise missile components many feared would increase the risk of nuclear war. Although the militants had phoned to evacuate the building, the bomb was accidentally detonated several minutes before its announced deadline, injuring several bomb squad police officers and civilians in the vicinity.

The Regal Constellation Hotel was a large hotel with focus on trade shows, convention and hospitality training centre near Pearson International Airport near Toronto, Ontario. Built in 1962, the hotel consisted of two 15-floor towers, 6-storey atrium, a Chinese restaurant and 90,000 square feet (8,400 m2) of convention space. Renovations took place in 2001. Once a popular hotel and convention venue, the hotel is no longer operating due to declining business and other setbacks, culminating with the SARS crisis. It was owned by Hong Kong-based Regal Hotels International. In 2004, Hospitality Investors Group (HIG) of Scottsdale, Arizona acquired the site and was planning to add a 350-room hotel to the existing 800-room hotel. Construction was planned to begin in 2005. However, since that acquisition, HIG was broken up and one of its chief officers has formed a new organization, Alatau Hospitality, with the principal shareholders of Lancaster Group of Kazakhstan. Alatau Hospitality retained the domain name of HIG (hospitalityinvestors.com) and its web site does not list this hotel as one of its current construction projects. As of November 2007, it is not clear who owns the property. As of July 15, 2011 Urbacon has been given the contract to fully demolish the old hotel down to the ground. The new owner is Park'N Fly Canada. The building was fully torn down by January 2012.

Woodbine Racetrack is a race track for Thoroughbred horse racing in the Etobicoke area of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Owned by Woodbine Entertainment Group, Woodbine Racetrack manages and hosts Canada's most famous race, the Queen's Plate. The track was opened in 1956 with a one-mile oval dirt track, as well as a seven-eights turf course. It has been extensively remodeled since 1993, and since 1994 has had three racecourses.

GTAA Cogeneration Plant is a combined cycle natural gas and steam power station owned by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, in Mississauga, Ontario. The plant is primarily used to supply steam (for heating and cooling) and power to the Toronto Pearson International Airport with surplus power sold onto the Ontario grid. The plant is located across from the airport at Elmbank Road and Network Road next to the Central Utilities Plant.

The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame was established in 1976 to honor those who have made a significant contribution to the sport of harness and thoroughbred horse racing in Canada. It is located at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario. The Hall of Fame annually inducts Thoroughbred and Standardbred horses, sulky drivers, jockeys, trainers and the horse racing industry's builders.

Viscount station is the northerly terminus of the Link Train automated people mover serving Toronto Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It is located on the south side of Viscount Road, between American Drive and Highway 409.The station is an elevated structure with a single island platform built beside the employee parking lot, long term discount multi-storey parking garage, reduced rate parking lots and the ALT Hotel. There are bus connections to MiWay Routes 24 and 107.This station is located near a future transit hub proposed by the GTAA and Metrolinx with connections to Line 5 Eglinton, Line 6 Finch West, GO Regional Express Rail, the Mississauga Transitway and many more local and regional bus connections. Based on renderings, building this hub may involve the removal of the Link Train but this is subject to change.

All Saints University, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was a private medical school located in the Caribbean. The university was subsequently renamed after a change of management and ownership.

The Toronto Congress Centre (TCC) is an event, meeting and trade show complex in the former city of Etobicoke in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, located near Toronto Pearson International Airport. It has over one million square feet (93,000 m2) of exhibition space between two buildings, making it one of the largest facilities of its kind in Canada and North America. Built in 1995, the Toronto Congress Centre has 60 meeting rooms, two ballrooms (one being pillar-free) and ten divisible exhibit halls. The convention centre is HACCP certified and is one of the only trade and convention facilities in North America to receive this certification, denoting the highest standards in food preparation safety. Their cuisine is prepared in-house by their 5-star Executive Chef and culinary team. Parking is currently free for all attendees. The TCC opened in 1995 as the largest in Canada, with close to 500,000 square feet (46,000 m2) of exhibit space. However, it was surpassed by the Enercare Centre 1,000,000 square feet (93,000 m2) in 1997, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (600,000 square feet (56,000 m2)) in 1997 and the International Centre (548,000 square feet (50,900 m2) in 2002), following various expansions and renovations at those venues. The TCC has since expanded its exhibit space to over one million sq. ft with the addition of a second building (a vacant industrial building purchased in 2006), north of the current building (referred to as the North Building). In February 2021, it was announced a site at the centre has been prepared as a large-scale clinic for distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine during the COVID-19 pandemic in Toronto.

Woodbine Centre is a shopping mall in the Rexdale area of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located across Rexdale Boulevard from Woodbine Racetrack in the former city of Etobicoke. Opened in 1985 by developer Cadillac Fairview, the over 130 store mall is home to Fantasy Fair, a year-round indoor amusement park. The fair houses a Charles I. D. Looff carousel. It is one of 13 still in operation today. They also have a 50-foot ferris wheel which they say is the only one in North America.Its design served as inspiration for property developer Sir John Hall when planning the MetroCentre, the UK's largest shopping mall, in the 1980s.

CJSA-FM is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts at 101.3 MHz in Toronto, Ontario. The station broadcasts in 22 languages reaching a majority of the South Asian audience. True to its name, "Canadian Multicultural Radio", CJSA serves well over 16 cultural and ethnic groups. CJSA's studios are located on Rexdale Boulevard in Etobicoke, while its transmitter is located atop First Canadian Place. The station's programming primarily targets South Asian communities, with programming in languages including Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Macedonian (Voice of Macedonia), Malayalam (Madhurageetham), Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Sinhalese, Somali, Tamil, Tagalog (FilTown Radio), Telugu (Morning Raaga), Tibetan, Twi and Urdu (Radio Pakistan Toronto).CJSA signed on in 2004, adopting a frequency formerly used by CHIN as a rebroadcaster to fill in reception gaps. CHIN's FM rebroadcaster now airs on 91.9 FM. The CJSA call sign also formerly belonged to a tourist information station in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec. Operated by the town's chamber of commerce, that station voluntarily surrendered its broadcast license in 2002. The former CJSA has no relation to the current CJSA-FM in Toronto. In December 2013, CJSA signed on HD Radio operations. CJSA airs Tamil language programming on their HD-2 subchannel. CJSA is the second Canadian radio station to use the technology, the first being CING-FM in Hamilton. The station has stated in a letter to the CRTC that it is interested in broadcasting up to 5 HD Radio subchannels, each of a different language for a different ethnic population (HD2 being Tamil, HD3 being Punjabi, HD4 being Hindi and Urdu, or Aboriginal/First Nations, and HD5 being data transmission).

Canlan Ice Sports Etobicoke is a four-pad hockey facility located at Ontario Highway 409 and Martin Grove Road in Etobicoke, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The arena is owned and operated by Canlan Ice Sports Corporation, of Burnaby, British Columbia. Canlan Ice Sports Corporation is a publicly traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange with the call letters ICE. The arena is home to The Toronto Marlboros Minor Hockey Organization, a member of the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL). The Dixie Beehives of the Ontario Junior Hockey League played here from 2009 to 2011. The facility was a Gold Award winner of the 2007 Toronto Sun Readers' Choice Award in the category of the Recreational Hockey Arena.

Terminal 1 station, or Pearson station, is a railway and people-mover station at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It is the eastern terminus of the inter-terminal Link Train, and the western terminus of the Union Pearson Express.
