Shoshone is a 1981–1982 steel sculpture by Mark di Suvero, installed in Bunker Hill, Los Angeles, in the U.S. state of California.

The Financial District (Financial Core) is the central business district of Los Angeles along Olive, Grand, Hope, Flower and Figueroa streets from 4th Street to 8th Street. It is south of the Bunker Hill district, west of the Historic Core, north of South Park and east of the Harbor Freeway and Central City West. U.S. Bank Tower, known locally as the Library Tower and formerly as the First Interstate Bank World Center, is a 1,018-foot (310.3 m) skyscraper in downtown Los Angeles, California. It is, by structural height, the third-tallest building in California, the second-tallest building in Los Angeles, the eighteenth-tallest in the United States, the third-tallest west of the Mississippi River after the Salesforce Tower and the Wilshire Grand Center, and the 129th-tallest building in the world, after being surpassed by the Wilshire Grand Center. It is the only building in California whose roof height exceeds 1,000 feet (300 m). Because local building codes required all high-rise buildings to have a helipad, it was known as the tallest building in the world with a roof-top heliport from its completion in 1989 to 2010 when the China World Trade Center Tower III opened. It is also the third-tallest building in a major active seismic region; its structure was designed to resist an earthquake of 8.3 on the Richter scale. It consists of 73 stories above ground and two parking levels below ground. Construction began in 1987 with completion in 1989. The building was designed by Henry N. Cobb of the architectural firm Pei Cobb Freed & Partners and cost $350 million to build. It is one of the most recognizable buildings in Los Angeles, and often appears in establishing shots for the city in films and television programs.

Maguire Gardens is a 2.3-acre park in Los Angeles, California, United States. Adjacent to the Richard J. Riordan Central Library, the park is named after Robert Maguire.

Richard J. Riordan Central Library, also known as the Los Angeles Central Library, is the main branch of the Los Angeles Public Library (LAPL), in Downtown Los Angeles. It is named after Mayor of Los Angeles Richard Riordan. It consists of two buildings: the Goodhue Building and the Tom Bradley addition, from 1926 and 1993, respectively. The former was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) on December 18, 1970.

The Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites is a 367-foot (112 m), 33-story hotel in Los Angeles, California, constructed between 1974 and 1976. Designed by architect John C. Portman Jr., it is the largest hotel in the city. The top floor has a revolving restaurant and bar. It was originally owned by investors that included a subsidiary of Japanese conglomerate Mitsubishi Corporation and John Portman & Associates. The building is managed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts (IHR), and is valued at US$200 million.

The Superior Oil Company Building, currently The Standard Downtown LA and previously the Bank of California Building, is a 12-story marble-clad highrise building located at 550 S Flower St in Downtown Los Angeles. The office building was refurbished as a hotel in 2002.

The ARCO Center for Visual Art was a not-for-profit gallery, funded by the Atlantic Richfield Company in Los Angeles California. It opened in 1976 and closed in 1984. The gallery focused on contemporary art. It was located at the Atlantic Richfield Plaza, 505 South Flower Street. Selected exhibitors were Carlos Almaraz, Herbert Bayer, Peter Alexander, Larry Bell, Donald Cole, William Crutchfield, Walter Gabrielson, Joe Goode, George Herms, Craig Kauffman, Liga Pang, Don Potts, Joseph Raffael, Stuart Rapeport, Frank Romero, Edward Ruscha, Hassel Smith, Michael Todd.

City National Plaza is a twin tower skyscraper complex on South Flower Street in western Downtown Los Angeles, California, United States. It was originally named ARCO Plaza upon opening in 1972.

Bell Communications Around the Globe is a 1961 sculptural relief by Anthony Heinsbergen, installed on the west side of an AT&T switching center at 420 South Grand Avenue in Los Angeles, California. According to the Los Angeles Times, the mural depicts the "globe linked by undersea telephone cables and satellite relays that ricochet off a fey male nude". The map shows North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Australia.
