The Chen Jhong-he Memorial Hall (traditional Chinese: 陳中和紀念館; simplified Chinese: 陈中和纪念馆; pinyin: Chén Zhōnghé Jìniànguǎn) is a memorial hall dedicated to Chen Jhong-he located in Lingya District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

85 Sky Tower (Chinese: 高雄85大樓; pinyin: Gāoxióng 85 Dàlóu; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Ko-hiông 85 Tōa-lâu), formerly known as the T & C Tower or Tuntex Sky Tower, is an 85-story skyscraper in Lingya District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The structure is 347.5 m (1,140 ft) high. An antenna increases the pinnacle height to 378 m (1,240 ft). Constructed from 1994 to 1997 by the now-defunct Tuntex Group, it is the tallest building in Kaohsiung, and the 2nd tallest in Taiwan after the Taipei 101. As of 2023, the building is almost entirely unoccupied except for a few condominiums (some subleased as short-term rentals) and offices between the 12th to 35th floors. Many floors have not been used in decades, and their conditions have become dirty and run-down. When the building first opened, it once housed a department store, indoor amusement park, five-star hotel, observatory, steakhouse and disco, VIP club and spa, and other amenities. The building was designed by C.Y. Lee & Partners and Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum, and has an unusual 'prong' design with two separate 39-floor sections, which merge into a single central tower rising to a spire. This unique design leaves a substantial space below the central part of the tower. The design was inspired by the Chinese character KAO (高) meaning tall, and also part of the city's name. John W. Milton was Project Director on behalf of Turner International Inc. (New York), a subsidiary of Turner Construction. There is no 44th floor in the building due to Tetraphobia), so the 43rd floor connects directly to the 45th floor; the 57th floor, a mechanical floor, is numbered 57A. The pyramid shaped crown is the equivalent of three stories high and is hence marketed as 83–85 to arrive at a round number. There is no elevator access to floors above 80.

The Han-Lai New World Center (traditional Chinese: 漢來新世界中心; simplified Chinese: 汉来新世界中心; pinyin: Hànlái Xīn Shìjiè Zhōngxīn) is a skyscraper located in Cianjin District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It is the eleventh tallest building in Taiwan and the third tallest in Kaohsiung (after 85 Sky Tower and Chang-Gu World Trade Center). The height of the building is 186 m, the floor area is 146,708.01m2, and it comprises 42 floors above ground, as well as 7 basement levels. Occupants include Hanshin Department Store and the Grand Hi-Lai Hotel.

The Asia-Pacific Financial Plaza (Chinese: 宏總亞太財經廣場; pinyin: Hóng zǒng yàtài cáijīng guǎngchǎng) is a 169.8 metres (557 ft) tall skyscraper in Lingya District of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It was completed in 1992 and was designed by Hoy Architects & Associates. It was the first building in Taiwan to reach a height of 150 m.

Kaohsiung Port Cruise Terminal is a cruise ship terminal located in Lingya District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan and is part of the Asia New Bay Area project. The building looks like a silver-white hull with a towering chimney. The total floor area is about 80,774 m2 (869,440 sq ft). The upper part is made of steel frame structure, with 15 floors above ground and 2 floors underground. It can berth two large cruise ships of 225,000 tons at the same time (capable of carrying 5,400 passengers and 2,400 crew members), and the maximum passenger service level can reach 2,000 people per hour. The design concept is to strengthen the integration of the port transportation center with the existing city and develop the commercial and leisure functions of the port space.

The Glory Pier (traditional Chinese: 光榮碼頭; simplified Chinese: 光荣码头; pinyin: Guāngróng Mǎtóu) is a pier at the river mouth of Love River in Lingya District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

Asia New Bay Area (Chinese: 亞洲新灣區) is an industrial, exhibition and cultural site located at Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It is a major construction of Kaohsiung City's industrial transformation, in order to promote the urban development of Kaohsiung Harbor and downtown Kaohsiung. The area of Asia New Bay Area is about 600 hectares (1,500 acres) and the total investment amount is about NT$ 130 billion, with funds coming from the Central and Kaohsiung City Government, along with investments from enterprises. Asia's New Bay Area expands Kaohsiung's international visibility, enabling Kaohsiung to become a Global City to further attract both domestic and foreign investors.

The Asia Plaza (Chinese: 亞洲企業中心; pinyin: Yàzhōu qì yè zhōngxīn) is a vision supertall skyscraper that will rise 431 m (1,414 ft) in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The building will comprise 103 floors above ground as well as 7 basement levels. It is a part of the Asia Plaza Tri-Tower Complex, that comprise three buildings: the 103-storey Asia Plaza, the 49-storey Far Eastern Ding Ding Hotel and the 18-storey Mega'21 Far Eastern Shopping Complex, of which only the shopping complex was completed in 2001.The building was proposed in 1997 and was originally scheduled to start construction in 2004 upon the completion of the Mega'21 Far Eastern Shopping Complex. It was planned to be completed in 2008. However, the development schedule has been delayed several times, and construction is currently scheduled to start in 2021 and be completed in 2024. After the building is complete, Asia Plaza will surpass 85 Sky Tower to become the tallest skyscraper in Kaohsiung City and the second tallest building in Taiwan.
