The Eastman School of Music is the music school of the University of Rochester, a private research university in Rochester, New York, United States. It was established in 1921 by industrialist and philanthropist George Eastman.It offers Bachelor of Music (BM) degrees, Master of Arts (MA) degrees, Master of Music (MM) degrees, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees, and Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degrees in many musical fields. The school also awards a "Performer's Certificate" or "Artist's Diploma". In 2015, there were more than 900 students enrolled in the collegiate division of the Eastman School (approximately 500 undergraduate and 400 graduate students). Students came from almost every state of the United States, with approximately 25% foreign students. Each year approximately 2000 students apply (1000 undergraduates and 1000 graduates). The acceptance rate was 13% in 2011 and about 1,000 students (ranging in age from 16 years to over 80 years of age) are enrolled in the Eastman School’s Community Music School.

The Rochester Contemporary Art Center is a non-profit art center located in Rochester, New York's East End District. The art center is a venue for the exchange of ideas and a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) that was founded in 1977. As a center for contemporary art, it provides encounters for audiences and opportunities for artists. The center exhibits and supports contemporary art of all forms and is well known for its annual 6x6 exhibition. The art center is also known for its popular Makers & Mentors Exhibitions, which combines notable educators with their current and former students. The State of the City exhibitions focus on new urbanism and feature artists from across the region. The organization hosts numerous other curated group exhibitions, collaborations with arts organizations of all kinds, and community-based projects.

The Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, Fourth Judicial Department, or simply the Fourth Department, is one of the four geographical components of the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, the intermediate appellate court of the State of New York. Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre is the largest performance venue at the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester, located in downtown Rochester, New York, United States. The theatre was established by industrialist George Eastman and opened on September 4, 1922, as a center for music, dance, and silent film, with orchestral and organ accompaniment. The theatre is the primary hall for the Eastman School's larger ensembles, including its orchestras, wind ensembles, jazz ensembles, and chorale. It originally contained 3,352 seats, but was substantially revised in 2009 to become a 2,260-seat concert hall with state-of-the-art acoustics optimized for symphonic, popular and chamber music performances. The theatre is the principal performance venue for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Eastman Opera Theatre presents fully staged operatic productions each spring. A $5 million renovation of the theater building was completed in October 2004. Eastman Kodak Company, founded by George Eastman, donated $10 million for a subsequent renovation that was completed in October 2009; the building's concert hall was named "Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre", in recognition of the donation. Maxfield Parrish's painting "Interlude" originally hung in the Eastman Theatre. The original was moved to the Memorial Art Gallery in 1997 to stabilize its temperature and humidity, and a full-size color reproduction hung in its place.

Christ Church, in Rochester, New York, is a parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester. It is located at 141 East Avenue. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.The church is a large Gothic Revival style building made of "rock-faced red Albion sandstone". It sports buttresses and flying buttresses.

The Eastman School of Music Student Living Center is a residential building that is part of the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.

Lutheran Church of the Reformation, also known as Glory House International, is a historic church complex located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. It was built in 1900–1902, and is a Late Romanesque Revival style sandy grey brick church with stone embellishments. It features two flanking towers of differing sizes on the main facade, round arched windows, corbel tables and stone window tracery. The larger tower has a steeply pitched pyramidal roof. Attached to the church by a hyphen is a three-story, less elaborate brick dependency.: 14 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. In 2022, Reformation Lutheran Church merged with another Lutheran church and its building was purchased by Glory House International, a non-denominational African American congregation.

Adam Brown Block is a historic commercial building located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York, United States. It is a four-story brick building with terra cotta trim built in 1885 in the Romanesque Revival style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Grove Place Historic District is a national historic district located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The district includes all that remains and is associated with "The Grove," the original homestead area of Rochester's Selden and Ward families. It is an enclave of 22 substantially intact small-scale 19th century residences, constructed between about 1850 and 1895, which were built, owned, and occupied by this complex extended family.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. Sibley Triangle Building is a historic commercial building located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. It is a five-story, triangular, flat-iron shaped, brick commercial building with Indiana limestone and marble trim on the first two stories. It was built in 1897 and is a distinguished example of eclectic Italian Renaissance style architecture. It was designed by noted Rochester architect J. Foster Warner and built for Hiram W. Sibley, a son of Hiram Sibley.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

University Club is a historic club building located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. It was constructed in 1930 and is a four-story, rectangular brick structure with a seven bay Georgian Revival style facade.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Five Star Bank Plaza is a high-rise building located in Rochester, New York, United States, designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. It is the sixth tallest building in Rochester and was originally built as Marine Midland Plaza. Site preparation work started December 1967, with groundbreaking on February 5, 1968. Standing at 284 feet (87 m) with 21 floors, the building was topped out on July 10, 1969 and opening day was April 15, 1970. Tishman Realty & Construction, who built the Original World Trade Center Complex, were the builders. The building was renovated in 1999. It has 560 parking spaces and 380,000 square feet (35,000 m2) of gross building area; 351,400 of it being usable.The iHeartMedia radio stations 95.1 WAIO, 100.5 WDVI, 1180 WHAM, 1280 WHTK, 107.3 WNBL, 106.7 WKGS and 102.3 WVOR broadcast from studios located on the 16th floor of the tower. Five Star Bank moved its regional headquarters to Rochester in 2016. Five Star Bank will lease three floors for ten years. Marine Midland was re-branded as HSBC in 1999 as part of HSBC's global re-branding, thus renaming the plaza One HSBC Plaza. HSBC Bank USA moved out of the plaza several years later. They sold the branch to First Niagara Bank in 2012 then later consolidated with another branch nearby. Five Star Bank opened a branch in the Plaza on the building's first floor, as had been done with each bank. The building lights up certain offices with red lights to display a Christmas tree during the holiday season. Large illuminated lettering bearing the name and logo of Five Star Bank was added to the top of the building when the building changed names to Five Star Bank Plaza (whose branch is respectively located at One Five Star Bank Plaza).
