Samseong-dong

Bongeunsa (Korean: 봉은사; Hanja: 奉恩寺) is a Buddhist temple located in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu in Seoul, South Korea. It was founded in 794 during the reign of King Wonseong by State Preceptor Yeonhoe (Korean: 연회; Hanja: 緣會), then the highest ranking monk of Silla. The temple was originally named Gyeonseongsa (Korean: 견성사; Hanja: 見性寺). It is located on the slope of Sudo Mountain, across the street from the COEX Mall.

Museum Kimchikan, formerly Kimchi Museum, is a museum dedicated to kimchi; one of the staples of Korean cuisine. Exhibits focus on the food's history, its many historical and regional varieties, and its importance to Korean culture and cuisine. The museum collects data and statistics on kimchi and regularly offers activities for visitors, such as demonstrations of the kimchi-making process, kimchi tastings, and cooking classes. The Kimchi Field Museum was Korea's first food museum. In 2015, it was selected by CNN as one of the world's best food museums.

The COEX Aquarium in Gangnam district, Seoul, is one of South Korea's Public Aquariums. The aquarium is housed within the COEX mall, which is, itself, part of the larger COEX Convention & Exhibition Center. The aquarium opened in 2000.

Starfield COEX Mall (formerly known as COEX Mall), containing COnvention centers, EXhibition halls and many malls, is an underground shopping mall in Gangnam-gu Seoul, South Korea. It has an area of about 154,000 square metres (1,660,000 sq ft), of which 144,000 square metres (1,550,000 sq ft) are on a single underground floor, making it the world's largest underground shopping mall. The mall is located at Samseong-dong served by Samseong Station on Seoul Metro Line 2, at the intersection of Teheranno and Yeongdong Dae-ro. The COEX Mall is adjacent to the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center, which is part of the COEX complex, run by the Korea International Trade Association (KITA). Along with hundreds of shops, the mall houses two food courts, MegaBox (cinema), COEX Aquarium and a large bookstore, but the Kimchi Fields Museum has moved to Insadong. It features a game area that is used to film computer game tournaments, which are broadcast on local television. There are stages inside and outside the mall for seasonal events and public appearances by celebrities. Millennium Square is the main exit of COEX Mall connecting with Line 2's Samseong Station. Coex Convention & Exhibition Center (Coex) located in Samseong-dong of Gangnam-gu district, Seoul, is one of South Korea's convention and exhibition centers. Coex is serviced by Samseong Station on line 2 and Bongeunsa Station on line 9 of the Seoul Subway.The 836-meter (914-yard) section of sidewalk along Yeongdong Boulevard from exit No. 5 of Samseong Station on Seoul Subway Line 2 to exit No. 7 of Bongeunsa Station on Seoul Subway Line 9, outside Convention & Exhibition Center and ASEM Tower is designated as a smoke-free zone by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

Kyunggi High School (Korean: 경기고등학교; Hanja: 京畿高等學校) is the oldest modern high school in Korea, located in Gangnam District, Seoul. The school is an all-boys school, and its counterpart is Kyunggi Girls' High School, also located in Gangnam District, Seoul. Kyunggi High School has educated many leaders of the South Korean society. It is the "K" in the so-called "K-S mark," an informal reference to educational credentials said to ensure career success, with the "S" standing for Seoul National University. Before the abolition of the high-school entrance exams in 1974, it was the highest-ranked school in the country. Alumni associations for the school are widespread throughout Korea and abroad. Famous alumni may be found in all sectors of society and include many past and present politicians (as well as four Prime Ministers), high-ranking government officials, award-winning scientists and scholars, business executives and national athletes.

ASEM Tower is an office building located in Samseong-dong, Gangnam district, Seoul. It was constructed for the 3rd Asia–Europe Meeting (ASEM 3) in 2000.The 836-meter (914-yard) section of sidewalk along Yeongdong Boulevard from exit No. 5 of Samseong Station on Seoul Subway Line 2, outside the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center and ASEM Tower, is designated as a smoke-free zone by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

The Korea City Air Terminal in Gangnam district, Seoul, is one of South Korea's Airport terminals. It is part of the COEX complex. The Korea City Air Tower is a public transportation facility in which travellers on certain flights can check in their luggage at the terminal before leaving for the airport as well as going through immigration for expedited entry once at the airport. As of December, 2015, the Korea City Air Terminal supports flights for Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Jeju Air, Thai Airways, Air Canada, Philippine Airlines, MIAT Mongolian Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Japan Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines.

World Trade Center Seoul (WTC Seoul) (Korean: 한국종합무역센터; Hanja: 韓國綜合貿易센터) is a building complex centered on the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center (Coex) on Teheranno in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu district of Seoul. It is operated by KITA (Korea International Trade Association).

The Trade Tower in Gangnam district, Seoul, is one of South Korea's tallest buildings. The 54-floor Trade Tower high-rise was built in 1988 and stands at 748 feet (228 m). It resembles two quadro-level towers in mirror image of each other. It is part of the COEX complex. Its 52nd floor hosts a restaurant.
