La Vicentina

The Obelisco de la Vicentina is a monument built in 1951 located in the La Vicentina neighborhood of Quito, Ecuador. It's considered one of La Vicentina's best-known landmarks.

Coliseo General Rumiñahui is an indoor sporting arena located in Quito, Ecuador. The capacity of the arena is 16,000 and is used mostly for basketball, Volleyball and others Sports. It was built on July 9, 1992. It is also used for music concerts and other events.

The National Polytechnic School (Spanish: Escuela Politécnica Nacional), also known as EPN, is a public university in Quito, Ecuador. The campus, called "José Rubén Orellana", is located at the sector center-oriental of Quito. It occupies an area of 15.2 hectares and has a built area of around 62,000 metres2. Its student body numbers approximately 10,000 of which thirty percent are women. The main campus encompasses ten teaching and research faculties, in addition to four technical and specialized institutes. EPN was founded in 1869 with the aim of becoming the first technical and technological center in the country. Since its beginnings, EPN adopted the polytechnic university model, which stresses laboratory instruction in applied science and engineering. At the campus, there are some libraries with a content primarily oriented to engineering and scientific topics. EPN has been consistently ranked among the top universities (the so-called Group A) in Ecuador by CEAACES.

The Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE) (English: Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador) is a Pontifical Catholic university founded in 1946 in Quito, Ecuador.

Gustavo Orcés V. Natural History Museum (Spanish: Museo de Historia Natural Gustavo Orcés V.) is a natural history museum in Quito, Ecuador. It was established in 2005.

La Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana (The House of Ecuadorian Culture) is a cultural organization founded by Benjamín Carrión on August 9, 1944, during the presidency of Dr Jose Maria Velasco Ibarra. It was created to stimulate, to direct and to coordinate the development of an authentic national culture. Headquartered in Quito, it maintains several museums throughout Ecuador.

La Floresta is an electoral parish (Spanish: parroquia electorale urbana) or district of Quito, the capital city of Ecuador. The parish was established as a result of the October 2006 political elections when the city was divided into 19 urban electoral parishes.

Benjamín Carrión Palace (Spanish: Palacio Benjamín Carrión) is a palace and museum in Quito, Ecuador. Named after Benjamín Carrión, a diplomat, cultural promoter, and an Ecuadorian writer. The palace was built in 1946–8. The building is located in the district of Itchimbía, near the border with La Mariscal. Its south side is adjacent to El Arbolito and was one of the first structures completed in the complex of buildings which create the Cultural Center of Ecuador.

The National Assembly (Spanish: Asamblea Nacional) is the unicameral legislature of Ecuador. It replaced the National Congress in 2009 following reforms under the 2008 Constitution. It is currently dissolved after the country's President Guillermo Lasso invoked a muerte cruzada. Within Ecuador, the National Assembly has the power to pass laws, while appointment of judges to the National Court of Justice is done by a separate Judicial Council.

El Ejido is a Quito Metro station. It was officially opened on 21 December 2022 as part of the inaugural section of the system between Quitumbe and El Labrador. The revenue service started on 2 May 2023 and discontinued on 11 May 2003. The station is located between Universidad Central and La Alameda.This is an underground station. It is 28 metres (92 ft) deep.The station is located below Avenida 6 de Diciembre, between two parks, El Ejido and Parque del Arbolito.The tunnel reached the station on 28 July 2018. On 23 January 2023, the first train with 600 passengers to whom invitations were extended, arrived to the station.

Itchimbía is a hill in Quito, Pichincha Province, Ecuador. It is surrounded to the east by Machángara River, a river that originates in the southern part of the city of Quito. Itchimbía is on the eastern/northeastern border of the center (downtown) of the city of Quito and the southeast border of the northern part. Towards the west Itchimbía is connected to the hill of San Juan neighborhood, a neighborhood between central and northern Quito. Just west of the Itchimbía hill lies La Alameda, one of the largest parks inside the city of Quito, and in which there is an old astronomical observatory simply known as Observatorio Astronómico de Quito (OAQ). The observatory is nowadays owned by Escuela Politécnica Nacional (EPN). On the southwest there is also the Iglesía de San Blas, one of the better known historical churches of the center of Quito. To the south there is a creek that runs across the center of the city and whose water flows into Machángara River. On the hill there is a park known as Parque Itchimbía or Parque del Itchimbía, which was previously owned by the municipality but is now run by a private environmentalist corporation known as Consorcio Ciudad-Ecogestión. The park includes a glass house atop the hill which serves as an exhibition center, conference room and museum and is known as es:Centro Cultural Itchimbía. The exhibition center is owned by Centro Cultural Metropolitano de Quito. Benjamín Carrión Palace was completed in 1948. The hill and some of its surrounding neighborhoods form a municipal administrative parish (cabildo) of the city of Quito.

La Alameda is a Quito Metro station. It was officially opened on 21 December 2022 as part of the inaugural section of the system between Quitumbe and El Labrador. The station is located between El Ejido and San Francisco.This is an underground station.The station is located below Avenida 12 de Octubre, next to La Alameda Park. The tunnel was extended to the station on 27 August 2018. On 23 January 2023, the first train with 600 passengers to whom invitations were extended, arrived to the station.
