Acapulco Mexican Restaurant and Cantina is a restaurant chain founded in 1960 in Pasadena, California. They currently only have restaurants in California. The restaurant chain is owned by Xperience Restaurant Group which is headquartered in Cypress, California. There are currently four restaurants, all of which are located in Southern California.

Casa Adobe de San Rafael is one of the oldest homes in Glendale, California. The home has been in continuous use since its founding in 1865. It was designated a California Historic Landmark (No. 235) on Oct. 31, 1935. Jose Maria Verdugo petitioned Pedro Fages, Governor of Alta California, for a Spanish land grant in October in 1784. When granted it was the first of the Rancho grants and one of the largest grants. The grant called Rancho San Rafael was a 36,403-acre (147.32 km2) in the San Rafael Hills, bordering the Los Angeles River and the Arroyo Seco in present-day Los Angeles County, southern California. When parts of Rancho San Rafael were sold, Tomas Avila Sanchez, Sheriff of Los Angeles County, purchased a tract of 100 acres and in 1865 built this artistic adobe home of the hacienda type. In 1867, Sanchez married Maria Sepulveda (daughter of Fernando Sepulveda and Maria Josefa Dominguez). Maria's stepfather gave her 100 acres (40 ha) of land and she and Tomas built Casa Adobe de San Rafael which is situated approximately a half-mile from the original Verdugo Adobe. The site of the original Verdugo Adobe is now the Hoover High School. A line of trees bordered the road that separated the two adobe sites. Tomas lived in Casa Adobe de San Rafael until his death in 1882. Maria and her family lived at the Casa Adobe for a few years after Tomas death. Maria sold the Casa and here land, 100 acres, to Andrew Glassell for $12,000. Maria and her family moved to Los Angeles. The Casa Adobe was sold a number of times. In the 1920 the old home was in poor shape. Glendale community women groups took the case of the historic home to the City of Glendale. City of Glendale purchased the property in early 1930s including its gardens and eucalyptus trees. The City of Glendale trees were grown from seeds. The seeds were a gift of Phineas Banning who had received them from an Australia missionary. The home was restored in 1932. The City of Glendale founded the San Rafael Association to care for Casa Adobe. San Rafael Association decorated the casa to look like a home in the late 19th century. The park grounds cover 1.6 acres. A Fiesta de las Luminarias (Festival of Lights) and Christmas Open House is held during the month of December.

The Alex Theatre is a landmark located at 216 North Brand Boulevard in Glendale, California, United States. It is currently owned by the city of Glendale and operated by SAS. The theater’s capacity is 1,400.

Glendale Fashion Center was a regional shopping mall in Glendale, California anchored by department stores, which today is the site of a large power center by the same name. The center opened in 1966 anchored by a J. W. Robinson's department store, as well as Joseph Magnin and Desmond's. Later, Joseph Magnin moved to the Glendale Galleria and a local retailer, Webb's, expanded the space from 30,000 to 67,500 square feet and moved into it on September 27, 1979.After damage from the 1994 Northridge earthquake, the mall was demolished and the site was turned into an open-air power center, the 264,474-square-foot center with anchors including Strouds Linens, Michaels, Ross Dress for Less, Ralphs supermarket, Longs Drugs (now CVS Pharmacy), Barnes and Noble, and Nordstrom Rack.

Opened in 1976 with 1.6 million square feet of retail space, it is the third largest mall in Los Angeles County after Lakewood Center and Del Amo Fashion Center. The mall is owned and managed by Brookfield Properties since 2002. It has been consistently ranked as one of the highest-grossing shopping centers in the United States. Anchor stores are Bloomingdale's, Dick's Sporting Goods, JCPenney, Macy's, Target, and Zara.

Glendale University College of Law (GUCL) is a private, for-profit law school in Glendale, California. Graduates are qualified to sit the California State Bar, but because the school is not accredited by the American Bar Association, they are not generally eligible to take the bar or practice outside of California. Of the fourteen GUCL graduates who took the California Bar Exam for the first time in July 2019, nine passed, for a 64% passage rate.

Herbert Hoover High School is a public high school in Glendale, California, USA. The school is named after Herbert Hoover, the 31st president of the United States and is located on an 18.6 acres (75,000 m2) campus. The school's colors are purple and white. Hoover High School is part of a neighborhood cluster that includes Mark Keppel Elementary School and Eleanor J. Toll Middle School. As of the 2020-21 school year, Hoover High School has an enrollment rate of 1,431 students.

The Americana at Brand is a large shopping, dining, entertainment and residential complex in Glendale, California. The property was built and is owned and operated by Los Angeles businessman Rick J. Caruso and his company Caruso Affiliated. Caruso Affiliated has built and operates many other projects, including The Grove at Farmers Market in Los Angeles. The Americana at Brand's 82 retail shops include Barneys New York, Nordstrom, XXI Forever, and David Yurman; its restaurants include Din Tai Fung, Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina, and Katsuya; the complex comprises 100 condominiums and 242 luxury apartments.The Americana project stirred debate in Glendale for four years. Some merchants feared the Grove-style "lifestyle center" would diminish business at the stores along Brand Boulevard and in the Glendale Galleria. Some residents worried about overdevelopment and traffic congestion.Both The Americana at Brand and The Grove are organized upon the idea of a city center—with a mix of architectural styles, building heights and materials used, as well as vast open spaces at each project's center. Caruso Affiliated often casts its developments in a particular milieu. The architectural style of the Americana reflects the brick factory facades of the industrial era, with its massive elevator shaft with exposed steel beams, while The Grove is reminiscent of 1930s Los Angeles, California. Each of the two intends to appear to be a public space, but is private property and is protected as such. However, the two-acre park in the center of the complex is entirely public property. The private security force that patrols the property prevents anyone from taking photographs with professional equipment without permission. The Americana at Brand allows dogs on the property — except on its grassy area. The only breed restricted is the pit bull. Each store decides whether it allows pets. The project opened to the public on May 2, 2008.
