The Kumho Art Hall (Korean: 금호아트홀) is a classical music hall in Seoul, South Korea.

Gyeonghui Palace (in Korean: Gyeonghuigung, literally Palace of Serene Harmony) was a palace located in Seoul, South Korea. It was one of the "Five Grand Palaces" built by the Joseon Dynasty.

Donuimun (Hangul 돈의문, Hanja 敦義門; also known as West Gate) was one of the Eight Gates of Seoul in the Fortress Wall of Seoul, South Korea, which surrounded the city in the Joseon Dynasty. The gate's historical location is also known as Seodaemun (서대문, 西大門 "West Big Gate").

The Asan Institute for Policy Studies (Korean: 아산정책연구원, Hanja: 峨山政策硏究院) is an independent, non-profit think tank based in Seoul, South Korea. The institute was founded by the honorary chairman Chung Mong-joon in 2008. The institute conducts research in national security and foreign policy, area studies, public opinion, domestic politics, social science methodology, and global governance. In 2015, it was ranked one of the top 100 think tanks in the world by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The Asan Institute was also ranked 5th among foreign policy and security-related research institutions in the Korea Economic Daily's annual survey of "Korea`s Top 100 Think Tanks in 2016.”Since 2012, the institute has run the Asan Academy, a special fellowship program to train future leaders of Korea with an understanding of humanities and knowledge across various disciplines. The Asan Institute also launched The Asan Forum in 2013, a bimonthly journal for in-depth interpretation of changes across the Asia-Pacific region. The Asan Report entitled 'In China's Shadow' was published in September 2016 and contributed to the enhancement of US/China cooperation on North Korea. The report garnered worldwide media attention, making headlines in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times, along with more than 200 Korean and international media outlets.

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based inter-governmental international development organization headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. The organization aims to promote green growth, a growth paradigm that is characterized by a balance of economic growth and environmental sustainability. GGGI provides technical support, research and stakeholder engagement for green growth plans, especially in developing countries. GGGI works across four priority areas, including energy, water, land use, and green cities.

The Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) is an international organization established with a vision to promote peace and common prosperity among China, Japan, and South Korea. Upon the agreement signed and ratified by each of the three governments, the TCS was officially inaugurated in Seoul, on 1 September 2011. On the basis of equal participation, each government shares 1/3 of the total operational budget.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency (SMPA; Hangul: Korean: 서울지방경찰청; Hanja: 서울地方警察廳) is the primary police force for the South Korean capital city of Seoul; it is not an independent police force in of itself, but is one of 16 provincial sub-divisions of the National Police Agency. The SMPA is headquartered along with the National Police Headquarters in Seoul itself. While modern police agencies of Seoul can trace their history back to 1945 with the creation of a Korean police force, the modern-day Metropolitan Police Agency in Seoul came into being on August 1, 1991 and currently polices over 10 million inhabitants.

The Bureau of Interpreters or Sayŏgwŏn was an agency of the Joseon government of Korea from 1393 to 1894 responsible for training and supplying official interpreters. Textbooks for foreign languages produced by the Bureau aimed to accurate describe contemporary speech, and are thus valuable sources on the history of Korean and the various foreign languages.

Sontag Hotel (Korean: 손탁 호텔) was the first European hotel in Korea. It was built in 1902, in Jung District, Seoul, Korean Empire. The hotel was sold in 1917 and eventually demolished in 1922.The 25-room hotel was bestowed to a German Russian, Antoinette Sontag, by Emperor Gojong. She was the sister-in-law of the Russian ambassador, Karl Waeber. It is said that she could speak German, Russian, English and also some Korean, gaining wider acknowledgement from the royal family. However, she was almost expelled from Korea when Japan's influence in Korea grew. In September 1909, J. Boher assumed ownership of the hotel.

AlphaGo versus Lee Sedol, also known as the Google DeepMind Challenge Match, was a five-game Go match between top Go player Lee Sedol and AlphaGo, a computer Go program developed by Google DeepMind, played in Seoul, South Korea between 9 and 15 March 2016. AlphaGo won all but the fourth game; all games were won by resignation. The match has been compared with the historic chess match between Deep Blue and Garry Kasparov in 1997. The winner of the match was slated to win $1 million. Since AlphaGo won, Google DeepMind stated that the prize will be donated to charities, including UNICEF, and Go organisations. Lee received $170,000 ($150,000 for participating in the five games and an additional $20,000 for winning one game).After the match, The Korea Baduk Association awarded AlphaGo the highest Go grandmaster rank – an "honorary 9 dan". It was given in recognition of AlphaGo's "sincere efforts" to master Go. This match was chosen by Science as one of the Breakthrough of the Year runners-up on 22 December 2016.

Chungdong First Methodist Church (Korean: 정동제일교회; Hanja: 貞洞第一敎會) is a historic church in Jeong-dong, Jung District, Seoul, South Korea.The church claims a number of historic firsts within Korea. It is the first Methodist church and one of the earliest Protestant churches, as its congregation (albeit in a different building) was founded on October 11, 1885. The church performed the first Methodist baptism on July 24, 1887, started the first Christian women's group in 1889, had the first pipe organ, and Western-style chapel. The church's first building was built in 1897, and is the oldest extant church in Korea, as well as the only one originally built during the 19th century. The church was founded by American missionary Henry Appenzeller. In September 1887, he purchased a small hanok (traditional Korean house) to house the church, and deemed the building "Bethel Chapel". As the congregation grew, the church leadership decided to construct a larger building. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on September 9, 1895, with notable Korean leaders Soh Kwang-pom and Yun Chi-ho present. A dedication service was held for the new building on December 26, 1897, which they also dubbed "Bethel Chapel". The church was expanded in 1926, changing from a cruciform (cross-shaped) church to a rectangular building.The architecture is a simplified American gothic style, with arched window frames. Bethel Chapel was made Historic Site of South Korea No. 277 in 1977.It currently holds worship services in both Korean and English. It also maintains a Mangon Christian History Reference Room for historical materials. The church opened a history museum on November 12, 2023.

Ewha Girls' Foreign Language High School (이화여자외국어고등학교/梨花女子外國語高等學校) is a foreign language high school located in Sunhwa-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, Korea.
