Isle of Wight Bay

Dog and Bitch Island is depending on the sources one or two islands in Worcester County, Maryland, in the United States. It is located within the Isle of Wight Bay. The island is small in size and marshy. In 2014 the federal Army Corps of Engineers pumped 18,000 cubic yards of material from navigation channel dredging operations onto the island to improve migratory bird habitat.

The Assawoman Bay Bridge crosses the Assawoman Bay in Ocean City, Maryland. The bridge carries Maryland Route 90, a freeway, into northern Ocean City, Maryland. The bridge consists of two lanes and is undivided, but it is heavily travelled. In the summer, it is usually congested with traffic heading into and out of Ocean City, especially on Fridays and Sundays. It ends in North Ocean City at Maryland Route 528 (Coastal Highway) and 62nd Street.

Isle of Wight Wildlife Management Area is a state wildlife management area (WMA) of Maryland located on the Isle of Wight, a small peninsula between the St. Martin's River and Isle of Wight Bay in Worcester County. Although called Isle of Wight, a small strip of marsh and road connects it with the mainland. The WMA is bisected by Maryland Route 90, one of the two principal highway routes into Ocean City. Despite this, the WMA attracts many birds, especially those dependent upon tidal marshes and bays, including great blue herons and green herons, black ducks, buffleheads, scaup, brant, Canada and snow geese, the common loon, and swans. Although hunting in season is permitted in the WMA, the area south of Route 90 is closed to hunting and is managed as a day use recreation area by Worcester County.

The Roland E. Powell Convention Center, also known as the Ocean City Convention Center, is a multi-purpose convention center in Ocean City, Maryland, USA. It contains 214,000 sq ft (20,000 m2) of floor space. It can also be converted into a 5,000 seat indoor arena that can host sporting events, like wrestling, as well as concerts. It is named after former mayor of Ocean City, Roland E. Powell. Food and beverage, catering, and special event services are provided by Centerplate.

Jolly Roger Amusement Park is an amusement park located in Ocean City, Maryland. The park features two locations in Ocean City: one at the pier on the Ocean City boardwalk and one further uptown at 30th Street. Both locations feature numerous thrill rides, including a looping roller coaster at the pier, bumper cars, a ferris wheel, a carousel, and kiddie rides, among others. The parks also contain typical carnival-like games and eateries. The 30th Street location additionally features two eighteen-hole mini-golf courses, Splash Mountain, a full-service waterpark with many slides and activity pools, and 10 go-kart tracks.

Ocean City, officially the Town of Ocean City, is an Atlantic resort town in Worcester County, Maryland, along the East Coast of the United States. The population was 6,844 at the 2020 U.S. census, although during summer weekends the city hosts between 320,000 and 345,000 vacationers and up to eight million visitors annually. During the summer, Ocean City becomes the second most populated municipality in Maryland, after Baltimore. It is part of the Salisbury metropolitan area as defined by the United States Census Bureau.

The Captain Robert S. Craig Cottage, also known as Bay Breeze, is a historic building located in Ocean City, Worcester County, Maryland, United States. It is a simple 1½-story rectangular frame structure with a gable roof. The full-width front porch is capped with an open X-cross balustrade. A two-bedroom rental apartment was added to the rear of the house around 1964. About the same time a tool shed that originally stood on a lot at Thirteenth and Philadelphia Avenue was moved to this location and converted into an efficiency rental apartment. The significance of this house is its association with Captain Robert S. Craig who developed and led the Ocean City Beach Patrol (OCBP), the local lifeguard organization. For nearly three decades this building served as its headquarters and a residence for summer lifeguards. It was designed by Craig and built from 1949 to 1950. His son Robert designed the rear addition and had the tool shed moved here. During the time the building served the OCBP, the organization became known across the country for its management and ocean rescue operation. It was Craig who had the lifeguards utilize semaphore communications among themselves and integrated innovative rescue technology. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.
