Wollaston (Quincy, Massachusetts)

The Wollaston Theatre was a historic theater at 14 Beale Street in Quincy, Massachusetts. It was built in 1926 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. In recent decades, the "Wolly" was a second-run discount movie house run by Arthur and Yvonne Chandler. The theater closed in 2003. After many plans to purchase and renovate it, following Arthur Chandler's death, the theater was finally sold to Miao Kun “Michael” Fang, the owner of the C-Mart supermarket chain.Demolition of the theatre began in June, 2016, and was completed over the next few months. The site is now a parking lot. The Wollaston Theatre was the venue for the last performance of the Plasmatics and Wendy O. Williams on their final tour in 1988.

The Josiah Quincy House , located at 20 Muirhead Street in the Wollaston neighborhood of Quincy, Massachusetts, was the country home of Revolutionary War soldier Colonel Josiah Quincy I, the first in a line of six men named Josiah Quincy that included three Boston mayors and a president of Harvard University.

The Eastern Nazarene College (ENC) is a private, Christian college in Quincy, Massachusetts. Established as a holiness college in Quincy, Massachusetts, in 1900, the college moved to Rhode Island for several years. With its expansion to a four-year curriculum, it relocated to Wollaston Park in 1919. It has expanded to additional sites in Quincy and, since the late 20th century, to satellite sites across the state. Its academic programs are primarily undergraduate, with some professional graduate education offered.

The Winfield House was a historic house at 853 Hancock Street in Quincy, Massachusetts. Built c. 1880, it was a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure with exuberant Queen Anne styling. It was built by John Chamberlin, a traveling hardware salesman. The house was particularly distinctive for its onion-domed tower near the center of the structure, an unusual placement and topping for such a tower. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.Winfield House served as a restaurant for 50 years. The house was demolished in 1998 by its then owners, Eastern Nazarene College, to make way for a campus expansion; all that is left now is stairs leading up to an empty house lot and the elm tree. The carriage house and a portion of the main house floating staircase were moved to a private residence in Stoughton, MA.

Wollaston station is a rapid transit station in Quincy, Massachusetts. Located in the Wollaston neighborhood, it serves the MBTA's Red Line. It was opened in September 1971 as the second of three stations in the original South Shore Extension, replacing a mainline rail station which had been located there from 1845 to 1959. Wollaston station was closed from January 8, 2018, to August 16, 2019, for renovations to the station, including flood mitigation and accessibility improvements.

The House at 94 Grandview Avenue in Quincy, Massachusetts, is the best-preserved of a series of Queen Anne Victorians built on Wollaston Hill. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built in the 1890s, probably by Horace Briggs, a Boston businessman. It has the complex massing and turret with conical roof that characterize the style. A porch extends across the front, supported by grouped columns and set on a low stone balustrade, and there is a Palladian window in the gable above. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The David L. Jewell House is a historic house at 48 Grandview Avenue in Quincy, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built in 1887 for David Jewell, a mill agent from Suncook, New Hampshire. The house is one of the most elaborate Queen Anne Victorians on Wollaston Hill, exhibiting a wide variety of decorative shingles, a domed tower, and varied roof and dormer gables. It has a large sloping front gable, which extends all the way down to the first floor, partially sheltering the elaborately decorated porch. Its carriage barn, now a garage, is one a small number of such surviving outbuildings in Quincy.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Quincy Mansion , also known as the Josiah Quincy Mansion, was a summer home built by Josiah Quincy, Jr. in 1848. The mansion itself was situated where Angell Hall now stands on the campus of the Eastern Nazarene College. The mansion, once a Quincy, Massachusetts landmark, was demolished in 1969.

The Massachusetts Fields School is a historic former school building at the corner of Rawson Road and Beach Street in Quincy, Massachusetts. Built in 1896, it is a high-quality Colonial Revival brick building, built during Quincy's revolutionary transformation of its school system in the late 19th century. The school was closed in 1982 and was renovated into apartments. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Wollaston Fire Station is a historic fire station at 111 Beale Street in Quincy, Massachusetts. The two-story brick building was built in 1900 on the site of an earlier wooden fire station, and is a fine local example of Italianate design. The tower, which dominates the structure, has a low-pitch tile roof over a corbelled eave, and an arched arcade. Its original arched bay entries have lost their original arched openings in order to accommodate large pieces of equipment.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Randolph Bainbridge House is a historic house in Quincy, Massachusetts. Built about 1900, it is a good example of Shingle Style architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Jonathan Dexter Record House is a historic house at 39-41 Grandview Avenue in Quincy, Massachusetts. This large two-family house was probably built in the 1890s, and is one of the largest and finest Queen Anne houses on Wollaston Hill. It has classic elements of the style, including a three-story tower with conical roof, asymmetrical massing, and a wealth of varying gables and windows. Jonathan D. Record, for whom it was built, was a Boston dry plates manufacturer.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
