Emmanuel Church of the Evangelical Association of Binghamton, now Our Free Will Baptist Church, is a historic Evangelical church located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. It was built in 1884 and is a large rectangular, wood-frame building, three bays wide and seven bays deep, on a stone foundation. It is two stories tall on the front elevation and, because of a steep drop off, four stories on the remaining sides. It features a steep gable roof and engaged bell tower. The variegated random ashlar stone siding was added about 1952, when a rear addition was completed.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Robert H. Rose House, also known as Rose Mansion, was a historic home located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York, United States. It was demolished in 1980.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Chenango River is a 90-mile-long (140 km) tributary of the Susquehanna River in central New York in the United States. It drains a dissected plateau area in upstate New York at the northern end of the Susquehanna watershed. Named after the Oneida word for bull thistle, in the 19th century the Chenango furnished a critical link in the canal system of the northeastern United States. The Chenango Canal, built from 1836–1837 between Utica and Binghamton, connected the Erie Canal in the north to the Susquehanna River. The canal was rendered obsolete by railroads and was abandoned in 1878. Flooding is often a concern during the spring and fall.

Jonas M. Kilmer House, also known as the Kilmer Mansion, is a historic home located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. It was constructed in 1898 and is a large 3+1⁄2-story residence using an eclectic Victorian-era vocabulary. It is primarily constructed of stone and features irregular form and massing. The building is characterized by a variety of different sized gables and turrets, all surmounted by a high hipped roof clad in asbestos shingles. Jonas M. Kilmer (1843–1912) was the father of Willis Sharpe Kilmer (1869–1940).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

South Washington Street Parabolic Bridge is a historic Lenticular truss bridge located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. It was constructed in 1886 and spans the Susquehanna River. It is composed of three identical through trusses with an overall length of 484 feet. The bridge was closed to vehicular traffic in 1969. It is the longest multiple span, Lenticular truss bridge constructed in New York State during the 19th century. It was constructed by the Berlin Iron Bridge Company of East Berlin, Connecticut. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The bridge was rehabilitated between 2014 and 2017.

Binghamton High School, a combined high school of the previous Binghamton North High School and Binghamton Central High School, is a large public high school located in the center of Binghamton, New York. The school is culturally diverse, with 1600+ students from many different countries, religions, and income levels. The mascot for Binghamton High School is a Patriot named Patrick who wears a signature tri-cornered hat.

The Court Street Bridge is a combined motor vehicle and pedestrian crossing which spans the Chenango River in the New York State city of Binghamton. The bridge carries U.S. Route 11 and connects Court Street and Downtown Binghamton with Main Street and its West Side neighborhood.

It is the business and administrative center of the City of Binghamton, the Greater Binghamton area and Broome County. Downtown Binghamton can be defined as encompassing the area north of the Susquehanna River, east of the Chenango River, west of Brandywine Avenue (NY-7) and south of the Norfolk Southern tracks. Downtown is the business and administrative center of the city and region. It is home to the principal state, county and city offices, which are located within Government Plaza on Hawley Street between State and Isbell streets. Important commercial streets include Chenango, Court, Hawley, State and Washington streets. BC Junction, Broome County Transit's point of departure for the majority of its fixed routes, is located on the corner of Henry Street and Prospect Avenue in this neighborhood.

John T. Whitmore House is a historic home located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. It is a Queen Anne–style dwelling constructed in 1888. It is a 2+1⁄2-story frame residence with irregular massing and brick, half timber, and stucco and shingle exterior surfaces.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

On April 3, 2009, a mass shooting occurred at the American Civic Association immigration center in Binghamton, New York. At approximately 10:30 a.m. EDT, Jiverly Antares Wong (also known as Jiverly Voong), a 41-year-old naturalized American citizen from Vietnam, entered the facility and killed thirteen people and wounded four others before committing suicide. It is the deadliest mass shooting by a lone gunman in the state of New York.

Visions Veterans Memorial Arena (formerly known as the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena and Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena) is a 7,200-seat multi-purpose arena in Binghamton, New York. The arena was completed in 1973, providing an entertainment venue for residents of the Greater Binghamton area. The arena has eight luxury suites that each hold 25 fans (200 total). A longtime home to minor league hockey, the arena is home to the Binghamton Black Bears of the Federal Prospects Hockey League.
