Czarna Woda (Polish for "black water") is a river of Poland, a tributary of the Kaczawa, which it meets in Legnica. The Czarna Woda is 48km long. It flows through Lower Silesian Voivodeship and has water falls in Legnica. The river also flows through marshes at Wierzbowskie taking a westerly direction from the village of Wierzbowa. The river flows through Legnica District. Its main tributaries are the Skora and Siekierna Rivers. Towns on the river include Wierzbowa, Rokitki, Grzymalin, Bukowna, Rzeszotary and Legnica.

Legnica (Polish: Legnica stacja kolejowa) is a railway station in the town of Legnica, Lower Silesia, Poland. Current building of the station has been opened for the public in 1927 and represents Art Deco style in architecture. It is one of few stations in Poland which has a large hall of steel-glass.

Legnica County (Polish: powiat legnicki) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, south-western Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. The county covers an area of 744.6 square kilometres (287.5 sq mi). Its administrative seat is the city of Legnica, although this city is not part of the county (it forms a separate city county, which is an enclave within Legnica County). The only towns in Legnica County are Chojnów and Prochowice. As at 2019 the total population of the county is 55,318, out of which the population of Chojnów is 13,355, the population of Prochowice is 3,602, and the rural population is 38,361. The majority of the population is polish but there is a small German minority at 0.02% of the population mostly in Koiszków (Koischkau).

Dobrzejów [dɔˈbʐɛjuf] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Miłkowice, within Legnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) east of Miłkowice, 4 kilometres (2 mi) north of Legnica, and 62 kilometres (39 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.

The Scultetus (Scholz) Tenement House - a historic tenement house on Blessed Virgin Mary Street in Legnica, near the Piast Gallery. The Renaissance building was built at the beginning of the fifteenth century. The two-zone sgraffito decoration on the façade comes from 1611 and presents geometric and architectural elements, as well as personifications of seven liberated arts - Grammar, Dialectics, Rhetoric, Music, Arithmetic, Astronomy and Geometry. The author of the decoration was master Giovanni together with his student - both of them are also included in the sgraffito. The work was covered with plaster at the end of the 19th century. In 1972 it was unveiled during conservation works. Originally the entire building was covered in sgraffito, however, only its upper part survived. In 2005-2006, the building was renovated with the financial support of the Erika Simon Foundation.The tenement house was owned by Johann Scultetus (Hans Scholz) - a Legnica-based humanist, the rector of the school at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul since 1611. Currently the building is the seat of the Sports and Recreation Center. The city Tourist Information also has its office here.

Miedź Legnica is a Polish professional football club, based in Legnica, Poland, that competes in I liga, following relegation in 2022–23. Miedź was founded in 1971. In 2018, Miedź Legnica achieved promotion to the top flight for the first time in club's history. After a three-year absence from the top flight, they were promoted again at the end of the 2021–22 season after winning the league.

Legnica City Hall, erected in 1905 in the Neo-Renaissance style, is currently the seat of the city authorities of Legnica, Poland.

The Diocese of Legnica (Latin: Dioecesis Legnicensis) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church located in the city of Legnica in the ecclesiastical province of Wrocław in Poland. According to the Catholic Church statistics 30.1% of the population attended a church every Sunday and holy obligation day or more often in 2013.

The Cathedral of Saint Apostles Peter and Paul in Legnica is located at Cathedral Square in the city of Legnica, Poland. The present building was erected between 1333 and 1380. A chapel was added in the fifteenth century, and in the late nineteenth century the church was converted into the neo-Gothic style. Over the centuries the church has acquired numerous statues and decorative features. Pope John Paul II established the church as a cathedral on March 25, 1992 and visited the cathedral on June 2, 1997.

The Duchy of Legnica (Polish: Księstwo Legnickie, Czech: Lehnické knížectví) or Duchy of Liegnitz (German: Herzogtum Liegnitz) was one of the Duchies of Silesia. Its capital was Legnica (Liegnitz) in Lower Silesia. Legnica Castle had become a residence of the Silesian dukes in 1163 and from 1248 was the seat of a principality in its own right, ruled by the Silesian branch of the Piast dynasty until the extinction of the line in 1675. Formed by Bolesław II the Bald, Duke of Lower Silesia at Wrocław, Legnica shared the fate of most of the others Silesian duchies, falling into Bohemian, Austrian and eventually—after the First Silesian War—Prussian spheres of influence.

Legnica Voivodeship (Polish: województwo legnickie) was a unit of administrative division and local government in Poland in the years 1975–1998, superseded by Lower Silesian Voivodeship. Its capital city was Legnica.
