Riverfront Park (Harrisburg)

Harrisburg's Independence Day Celebration is an annual music and food festival that takes place in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Fourth of July weekend. It is the state's largest Independence Day weekend music festival. Festivities take place along Riverfront Park and City Island and consist of street concerts, food and craft vendors, a wine/beer garden, amusement rides and a large fireworks display.

The Holocaust Memorial for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is a Holocaust memorial at Front and Sayford Streets along Riverfront Park, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It was conceived by a committee of Holocaust survivors in 1992 representing the Jewish Community Center of Harrisburg. In light of publicity given to the U.S. Holocaust Museum, a group of survivors that had lived in the Harrisburg area pressed for a local memorial. It was designed by David Ascalon for $200,000 on a site designated by the City of Harrisburg along the public park land adjacent to the Susquehanna River. The Memorial was dedicated in 1994. An annual Yom Hashoah observance is held at the site.

The Old Midtown Historic District is a historic district in the Midtown neighborhood of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The district is located from Forster to Verbeke, and Front to Third street. It represents the first urbanized neighborhood in the city of Harrisburg. The Historic Harrisburg Association first lobbied for its creation in 1974. The area of Third street near Verbeke is known as the Historic Midtown Market District and is home to many unique boutiques, galleries and shops. Former Harrisburg Mayor William K. Verbeke is the namesake for Verbeke Street (formerly Broad Street) and first bought and developed the area.

The Broad Street Market, opened in 1863, is located in the Midtown neighborhood of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in the United States. Originally established on Broad Street (now Verbeke Street) by the Verbeke family, it is today one of the oldest continuously operating farmers markets in the country.

The Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center, alternatively the House of Music, Arts & Culture (styled "H·MAC"), is a multidisciplinary arts and cultural center located in Midtown Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The Midtown neighborhood is delineated by Forster Street to the south, Maclay Street to the north, 7th Street to the east, and the Susquehanna River to the west. Former Harrisburg Mayor William K. Verbeke is the namesake for Verbeke Street (formerly Broad Street) and first bought and developed the area. Midtown is home to the Pennsylvania Governor's Residence (at its boundary with Uptown) and the Broad Street Market, the oldest continually operated street market in the country. Midtown became named as such following World War II as state government construction expanded further north from the Capitol District. German Evangelical Zion Lutheran Church, which became the Tabernacle Baptist Church in 1967, is a historic Lutheran church at Capital and Herr Streets in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The church was built in 1886, and is a two-story brick building in a modified Gothic style. It features a three-story square bell tower with large oval windows and brick tracery. Attached to the church by a one-bay, two-story section is a three-story brick parsonage built in 1897.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.In November 2019, the Tabernacle Baptist parish left the church building and moved to another location. The site was briefly known as Choice Community Christian Church until March 2021 when the CCCC parish also moved to another location.

The Fox Ridge Historic District (or Fox Ridge) is a municipal historic district and neighborhood within Midtown, Harrisburg recognized by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC). The district was adopted by the PHMC in February 1983 and certified by the Secretary of the Interior in January 1985 as an addition to the larger Harrisburg Historic District. The neighborhood district, sometimes called Old Fox Ridge, is between Third and 6th Streets and Forster and Herr Streets. It contains mostly 19th Century vernacular style homes, with some institutional buildings. New Fox Ridge, a homeowners association, is one of the city's first modern town house developments, a collection of 63 brick town houses along North Third Street.

The M. Harvey Taylor Bridge is a steel girder multilane highway bridge that spans the Susquehanna River at Harrisburg, the state capital. It connects central Harrisburg with the near suburbs on the West Shore. Built in the early 1950s, it was reconstructed and widened in 2001-04 to accommodate additional pedestrian walkways. The speed limit is 50 miles per hour (80 km/h). The Average Daily Traffic in 2016 was 28,139, only 2% of which was trucks. The bridge has never had a route designation.

It consists of large Queen Anne and Italianate architecture built in the late 19th century and very early 20th century. The northern part of the historic district is currently being aggressively renovated by real estate investors.

The Cathedral of Saint Patrick is a cathedral of the Catholic Church in downtown Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. It is the mother church of the Diocese of Harrisburg and is the seat of its bishop. It is a contributing property in the Harrisburg Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.
