Stella Niagara Education Park is a coeducational Catholic elementary school, convent, and hospitality center located in the hamlet of Stella Niagara within the town of Lewiston, New York. It was founded in 1908 by members of the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity.

More recently, it has seen the creation of the Stella Niagara Preserve, the largest privately-owned, undeveloped tract of land along the entire length of the Niagara River, when the Land Conservancy purchased this remarkable property from the Sisters of St. Francis in 2015. Stella Niagara had a post office until July 19, 1997; it still has its own ZIP code, 14144.

Porter is a town in Niagara County, New York, United States. The population was 6,771 at the 2010 census. The town was named after Judge Augustus Porter. The Town of Porter lies in the northwest corner of Niagara County and is north of the City of Niagara Falls.

Youngstown is a village in Niagara County, New York, United States. The population was 1,935 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. Youngstown is on the western edge of the town of Porter and is at the international border with Canada, at Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. It is north of the city of Niagara Falls.

The former Lake Ontario Ordnance Works (LOOW) was a 7,500-acre (3,000 ha) military installation located in Niagara County, New York, United States, approximately 9.6 mi (15.4 km) north of Niagara Falls. The property was purchased by the War Department during World War II as a location for the production of TNT. Most of the LOOW property was sold after the war. The United States Department of Energy currently owns 191 acres (77 ha) of the original LOOW property, on which the Niagara Falls Storage Site (NFSS) is located. The NFSS is used for the storage of radioactive materials produced during the development of America's first atom bombs.Approximately 93 percent of the original LOOW site—currently occupied by homes, a school, a campground, the Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, farms, local and federal government operations, and a toxic waste facility—meets the criteria of a Formerly Used Defense Site, and one portion of the property is listed as a Superfund cleanup site.

Reif Estate Winery is located in Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario, Canada. Reif Estate is primarily known for playing an important in role pioneering the Ontario wine Industry, as well as planting some of the first Vitis vinifera vines in the Niagara region.

Model City is a hamlet in the town of Lewiston in Niagara County, New York, United States.It was proposed in the 1890s as an urban utopia by railroad lawyer and con man William T. Love (born 26 May 1856 in Keokuk, Iowa), who had first tried a similar investment scheme in Huron, South Dakota, earlier in 1890. He planned Model City to be "The most beautiful [park] in the world" and planned housing for more than 1 million people and a canal and hydroelectric plant. Love promised in his advertising pamphlets that the city would be free of smog-filled skies, that the land would be beautifully landscaped, housing and quality of life would be a cut above even the loveliest urban environments. However, his plans were never realized, despite the approval of the state government in 1893. Amid the panic of 1894 his investors backed out and development stopped, with the only visitors to Model City now being "curious reporters and bill collectors," trying to find an absent Love. He claimed to have left for England in 1897, seeking foreign investment. Instead, having absconded with an unknown quantity of money, he practiced law in Cordova, Alaska, for several years, then attempted to start a new model city scheme in the Puget Sound area before settling on Lomax, Illinois, in 1911. By 1914 "New Lomax" was bust, with Love netting $250,000. In 1929 he tried once more, claiming to have 15,000 acres (6,100 ha) for the location of "New City," Delaware, which similarly failed to materialize. By the mid-1990s, Model City was "little more than a rural road with a few dozen families" and a bar. Despite its environmentally-friendly conception Model City is now home to an enormous landfill owned by Waste Management.

Tuscarora Heroes Monument is located in Lewiston, New York and stands as a testament of thanksgiving from the people of Lewiston to the Tuscarora Nation for saving the lives of dozens of local residents during the War of 1812 British attack on December 19, 1813. It consists of three 110% lifesize bronze sculptures that depict a tableau of two Tuscarora men rescuing a local woman and her baby from the British attack. It is recognized as the largest War of 1812 bicentennial monument project in the United States. Primary funding was provided by the Town of Lewiston using Niagara River Greenway funds, along with Niagara County, New York (also with Greenway funds), the KeyBank Foundation, the Margaret L. Wendt Foundation, the Niagara Falls National Heritage Area, and the Daughters of 1812. The Village of Lewiston allowed the use of its park property to locate the monument.
