Crawford Hill is located in Holmdel Township, New Jersey, United States. It is Monmouth County's highest point, as well as the highest point in New Jersey's coastal plain, standing at least 380 feet (116 m) above sea level. The hill is best known as the site of an annex to the Bell Labs Holmdel Complex. Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson of Bell Labs used the Holmdel Horn Antenna located on Crawford Hill to take measurements of the cosmic microwave background radiation. They were awarded the 1978 Nobel Prize in Physics for these efforts that supported the Big Bang theory. For more information, see Discovery of cosmic microwave background radiation. More recently the laboratory has undertaken research in the fields of wireless and fiber-optic communication and award-winning Bell Laboratories researchers in these fields, working at Crawford Hill include Herwig Kogelnik and Gerard Foschini. Herwig Kogelnik won the 2001 Marconi International Fellowship Award and IEEE Medal of Honor for his work in the development of fiber optic technology and the 2006 National Medal of Technology. Gerard J. Foschini was the 2002 recipient of the Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award for his pioneering inventions having to do with the capacity of communications systems with multiple antennas. In 2020, Nokia sold the Crawford Hill facility and relocated the remaining Bell Labs research staff to the Murray Hill campus.

The Holmdel Horn Antenna is a large microwave horn antenna that was used as a satellite communication antenna and radio telescope during the 1960s at Bell Telephone Laboratories in Holmdel Township, New Jersey, United States. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1989 because of its association with the research work of two radio astronomers, Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson. In 1965 while using this antenna, Penzias and Wilson discovered the cosmic microwave background radiation (CMBR) that permeates the universe. This was one of the most important discoveries in physical cosmology since Edwin Hubble demonstrated in the 1920s that the universe was expanding. It provided the evidence that confirmed George Gamow's and Georges Lemaître's "Big Bang" theory of the creation of the universe. This helped change the science of cosmology, the study of the history of the universe, from a field for unlimited theoretical speculation into a discipline of direct observation. In 1978 Penzias and Wilson received the Nobel Prize for Physics for their discovery.

Bayshore Medical Center, formerly known as Bayshore Community Hospital, is a 204-bed general medical and surgical hospital located on a 37-acre (15 ha) campus at 727 North Beers Street, in Holmdel Township, New Jersey, United States, near the Raritan Bayshore. Its services include cardiac catheterization, diagnostic Imaging, medical/surgical, behavioral health, emergency, laboratory and transitional care. Bayshore Medical Center merged with Hackensack Meridian Health in 2019 and is affiliated with the Cancer Institute of New Jersey. In 2021 it was given a grade A by the Leapfrog patient safety organization.

St. John Vianney High School is a private coeducational Roman Catholic four-year high school, serving students in grades nine through twelve. The school is located on a 38-acre (150,000 m2) campus in Holmdel Township, in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, and is operated under the supervision of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Trenton. The school is accredited by AdvancED.As of the 2017–18 school year, the school had an enrollment of 979 students and 64.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 15.2:1. The school's student body was 82.8% (811) White, 5.0% (49) Hispanic, 4.9% (48) Asian, 3.7% (36) Black and 3.3% (32) two or more races.The school motto is "Knowledge – Commitment – Involvement". The St. John Vianney High School Lancers wear the school colors of Gold, White and Black.

Holmdel Park is located in Holmdel Township, New Jersey and is part of the Monmouth County Park System. The initial park land was established in 1962, with an additional 227 acres (92 ha) section added in 2001. Holmdel Park is also the home of the Holmdel Arboretum; aka David C. Shaw Arboretum and the Longstreet Farm, a living history farm set in the 1890s. The park is a popular destination for local elementary school trips and cross-country runners. In August 2017 it was announced that a further 71 acres (29 ha) was being donated. In 2018, it obtained an additional 52 acres of land.

Holmdel High School is a comprehensive community four-year public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades from Holmdel Township, in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as the lone secondary school in the Holmdel Township Public Schools. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1977.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 950 students and 82.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.5:1. There were 13 students (1.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 3 (0.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.Holmdel High School is known for academic, athletic, and artistic excellence. The school regularly ranks highly in academic competitions. Holmdel sports teams, notably the field hockey and boys tennis teams have been New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) state champions.

The PNC Bank Arts Center (originally the Garden State Arts Center) is an amphitheatre in Holmdel, New Jersey. About 17,500 people can occupy the venue; there are 7,000 seats and the grass area can hold about 10,500 people. Concerts are from May through September featuring 45-50 different events of many types of musical styles. It is ranked among the top five most successful amphitheatres in the country. It is one of two major outdoor arenas in the New York City Metropolitan Area, along with Jones Beach Theater on Long Island. Both venues are managed by Live Nation.

Holmes–Hendrickson House is located in Holmdel Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1754 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 26, 1978. The house is one of several houses owned and operated as a historic house museum by the Monmouth County Historical Association. It is open seasonally.

Historic Longstreet Farm is a living history farm in Holmdel, New Jersey. The farm is only 9 of 664 acres within Holmdel Park. In 2021, Holmdel Park received 1,096,379 visitors, while Longstreet Farm received 102,522 visitors. It is operated by the Monmouth County Park System. Today, the farm is a recreation of rural life in Monmouth County as it was the 1890s. Staff dresses in period clothing, while performing the daily and seasonal agricultural and domestic activities of a resident of the time period, such as planting and harvesting of crops, taking caring of the livestock, etc. Admission and parking are free.The farm is open all year from 10am to 4pm, with extended hours from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The farm offers multiple activities for children through various programs, summer camps and events. The farmhouse is open weekends and holidays from March to December from 12pm to 3:30pm. Across the street, there is the Tenant House, which housed the workers of a tenant family and is today used for staff offices. The Holmes-Hendrickson House, built in 1754, is a museum operated by the Monmouth County Historical Association.

The Kovenhoven House or Corneles Couwenhoven House is located in Holmdel Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1699 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 26, 1974.

Hazlet is a station on New Jersey Transit's North Jersey Coast Line in Hazlet, Monmouth County, New Jersey. The station is located between a stretch of tracks from Keyport–Holmdel Road (Monmouth County Route 4) to Hazlet Avenue.

Holmdel Township is a township in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Located near the Raritan Bay within the Raritan Valley region, the township is a bedroom community of New York City in the New York Metropolitan Area.As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 17,400, an increase of 627 (+3.7%) from the 2010 census count of 16,773, which in turn reflected an increase of 992 (+6.3%) from the 15,781 counted in the 2000 census.Holmdel Township was formed by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 23, 1857, from portions of Raritan Township (now Hazlet). In addition, former Secretary of Energy Steven Chu earned a Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on laser cooling in Holmdel.Holmdel's picturesque beauty, proximity to New York and main highways, award-winning public schools, large homes, rich history, the PNC Bank Arts Center, and the presence of many high paying jobs within commuting distance led the township to be ranked the #1 "Six-Figure Town" by Money magazine and CNN for 2009.The township has been one of the state's highest-income communities. Based on data from the American Community Survey (ACS) for 2013–2017, Holmdel Township residents had a median household income of $155,842, ranked 10th in the state among municipalities with more than 10,000 residents, more than double the statewide median of $76,475. Based on data from the 2006–2010 ACS, Holmdel had a per-capita income of $62,120, ranked 46th in the state.
