Newhaven railway station served the area of Newhaven, Edinburgh, Scotland, from 1879 to 1962 on the Leith North Passenger Branch.

Victoria Park is a district in north Edinburgh south of Newhaven and lying between Trinity and Leith. The area was given Conservation Area status in March 1998.

Newhaven is a district in the City of Edinburgh, Scotland, between Leith and Granton and about 2 miles (3.2 km) north of the city centre, just north of the Victoria Park district. Formerly a village and harbour on the Firth of Forth, it had a population of approximately 5,000 inhabitants at the 1991 census. Newhaven was designated a conservation area, one of 40 such areas in Edinburgh, in 1977.It has a very distinctive building form, typical of many Scottish fishing villages, with a "forestair" leading to accommodation at first floor level. The lower ground floor was used for storing nets. More modern housing dating from the 1960s has replicated the style of these older buildings. Victoria Primary School, created in 1844, is a historic, listed building in Newhaven Main Street and was the oldest council primary school still in use within the City of Edinburgh until pupils and staff moved to a new building across in Western Harbour in 2021. It latterly had a school roll of around 145 children. The site has now been acquired under the Community Asset Transfer scheme, by the Heart of Newhaven Community, a volunteer-led charity, who will be running it as a community hub. The new Western Harbour development extends north into the Firth of Forth from Newhaven. It is also the home of Next Generation Sports Centre (now named David Lloyd Newhaven Harbour), where the tennis player Sir Andy Murray regularly played as a youngster.

Chancelot Park was a football ground in the Leith area of Edinburgh, Scotland. It was the home ground of Leith Athletic from 1900 until 1904 and again from 1919 until 1924.

Trinity is a district of northern Edinburgh, Scotland, once a part of th burgh of Leith (itself a part of the city since 1920). It is one of the outer villa suburbs of Edinburgh mainly created in the 19th century. It is bordered by Wardie to the west and north-west, Newhaven to the north-east, Victoria Park to the east and Bangholm to the south.

Craigroyston Football Club are a Scottish football club based in Edinburgh, who play their home matches at St Mark's Park in the Warriston area of the city. The team competes in the East of Scotland League Second Division, having moved from the junior leagues in 2018.

Warriston Cemetery is a cemetery in Edinburgh. It lies in Warriston, one of the northern suburbs of Edinburgh, Scotland. It was built by the then newly-formed Edinburgh Cemetery Company, and occupies around 14 acres (5.7 ha) of land on a slightly sloping site. It contains many tens of thousands of graves, including notable Victorian and Edwardian figures, the most eminent being the physician Sir James Young Simpson. It is located on the north side of the Water of Leith, and has an impressive landscape; partly planned, partly unplanned due to recent neglect. It lies in the Inverleith Conservation Area and is also a designated Local Nature Conservation Site. The cemetery is protected as a Category A listed building.In July 2013 the Friends of Warriston Cemetery was inaugurated to reveal the heritage and to encourage appropriate biodiversity.

Ferry Road is one of the major roads of Edinburgh, Scotland, deriving its name from being the road from Queensferry to Leith. It runs from the eastern end of Davidson's Mains village in the west, to Leith in the east, passing through Drylaw, Crewe Toll and Goldenacre on the way. It is classified as the A902 from Leith to Crewe Toll where the A902 continues as Telford Road. Notable features along the route include, in the west, the former Northern General Hospital's site (now demolished for a supermarket, the Western General Hospital is also nearby), the playing fields of Fettes College, Stewarts Melville and other private schools to the south, a geriatric home of the Salvation Army, Goldenacre stadium etc. Drylaw Police Station is also situated on Ferry Road. Leith public library is located shortly before where Ferry Road meets North Junction Street and Great Junction Street

Bonnington railway station served the district of Bonnington, Edinburgh, Scotland from 1846 to 1947 on the Edinburgh, Leith and Granton Railway.

Edinburgh North and Leith is a constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom (at Westminster), first used in the 1997 general election. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. In 1999, a Scottish Parliament constituency was created with the same name and boundaries. See Edinburgh North and Leith (Scottish Parliament constituency). The boundaries of the Westminster constituency were altered, however, in 2005, and the Scottish Parliament constituency retained the older boundaries until 2011. Since then, the seat has mainly been split between the Edinburgh Northern and Leith and Edinburgh Central constituencies at Holyrood, with a small area also located in Edinburgh Western. In the 2014 Scottish independence referendum, the constituency returned an above average No vote; 60% opted for Scotland to stay in the United Kingdom, while 40% preferred Scotland to become an independent country. In the 2016 referendum to leave the European Union, the constituency voted remain by 78.2%. This was the seventh highest support for remain for a constituency.

Platinum Point is a development by Gregor Shore Limited in the Western Harbour area of Newhaven in Edinburgh, Scotland. It formed part of a large scale redevelopment of the Leith docklands by Forth Ports, named Edinburgh Forthside. The development is located near the Ocean Terminal shopping centre. The eventual development was for 452 flats with 50 different designs available, although only half (Phase 1) has been built owing to the developer, Gregor Shore Limited, entering into administration on 14 October 2008. The company was dissolved on 9 January 2015. In September 2006 owners of apartments in Phase 1 formed the Platinum Point Owners′ Association.
