Carroll Township is a second class township in Perry County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 5,230 at the 2020 census. It is one of twenty-two (22) townships in Perry County and one of 1,456 townships in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

WCAT-FM (102.3 MHz "Red 102.3") is a commercial radio station licensed to Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and serving the Harrisburg metropolitan area. It is owned by Harold Z. Swidler, with the license held by Radio Carlisle, Inc. WCAT-FM broadcasts a country music radio format, mixing current and recent hits with classic country. Programming is simulcast on co-owned WRDD 1480 AM in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. The radio studios and offices are on North Hanover Street in Carlisle. WCAT-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 3,000 watts horizontal polarization and 2,750 watts vertical polarization. The transmitter is on Spring Road (Route 24) in Middlesex Township, Pennsylvania. WCAT-FM is not related to WCAT 1390 AM in Burlington, Vermont.

The Dellville Covered Bridge is a wooden covered bridge located in Dellville Pennsylvania. It is a 174-foot-long (53 m), three span, burr truss bridge over Shermans Creek, built to replace a previous covered bridge constructed in 1889 by Andrew Clouser.The original bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.On November 3, 2014, it was significantly damaged in a fire that police later ruled was arson. In 2017, work removing the burned and charred remains of the old Dellville Covered Bridge began, and in 2018, the work rebuilding the bridge began in earnest. By July 2019, the new replica bridge was completed at a cost of $966,000. In November 2019, two men were charged as juveniles for the arson.

The terrain is gently rolling woodland broken by numerous small drainages. The most common game species found here are deer, wild turkey, grouse, and eastern gray squirrel.

Schlusser (pronounced Skloosher) is a census-designated place (CDP) in North Middleton and Middlesex townships, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 5,265 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Harrisburg–Carlisle Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Cove Mountain is a pair of mountain ridge lines in Perry County, south central Pennsylvania, in the United States. A part of the Ridge-and-Valley region of the Appalachian Mountains, Cove Mountain is a syncline that is located near the borough of Duncannon, and is approximately 15 miles (24 km) north of the state capital of Harrisburg. A 353-acre (143 ha) portion of the mountain was purchased by the Pennsylvania chapter of the Nature Conservancy in 2017, and is operated as a nature preserve that is open to the public.

The Darlington Trail is a hiking trail of 7.7 miles (12.4 km) in south-central Pennsylvania. Its western end is at a junction with the Tuscarora Trail and the Appalachian Trail. Its eastern end is northwest of Harrisburg at Tower Road, which is only accessible for rugged vehicles.

Carlisle Armory is a historic National Guard armory located at Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1931, and consists of separate administration and stable buildings executed in the Colonial Revival style. It was designed by architect Thomas H. Atherton. The administration building is a two-story stone and brick building with a gable roof and two arched dormers. The side gables feature Palladian windows. The stable building is a one-story, gambrel roofed building with gable dormers. The stable building has been converted to offices, classrooms, locker rooms, and storage.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Carlisle Fairgrounds is located in downtown Carlisle, Pennsylvania. It is the home of Carlisle Events and the location for the largest collector car and truck events in the country. Prior to Carlisle Events' emergence, anyone interested in restoring or showing 1950s- or 1960s-era cars had few options. That all changed when Chip Miller and Bill Miller, Jr. became friends through a mutual interest in cars of the 1950s. Together they began going to car shows and swap meets, where like-minded individuals would hunt for parts and accessories to restore their vehicles. A need for these events became obvious to these two men in 1973. Until that time, the only cars deemed worthy to collect were pre-WWII automobiles. Carlisle Events was one of the first companies in the United States organized specifically to conduct and promote events for the collector car and truck hobby. On September 26, 1974, on the rented Carlisle Fairgrounds, "Post War '74" took place. It was the very first car event promoted by the company. In a year still remembered for gas lines and inflation, nearly 600 vendors set up in more than 800 spaces, and 13,000 spectators paid the $1 admission to sample their wares. Within a few years, the Carlisle Fairgrounds had become a mecca for collector car enthusiasts all over the world. The runaway success of what became known as Fall Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet & Car Corral led to a similar Spring event in 1977. In short order, they became complete sellouts for vendor and car sale (or "car corral") spaces. In 1981, after renting the fairgrounds for each event, the Millers purchased the 82-acre (330,000 m2) property. Over the years, Carlisle Events has transformed the fairgrounds to suit the needs of car show participants and visitors. Continuous improvements include paved roads, a manicured landscape and more than 10 permanent buildings. At the same time, Carlisle Events has established consumer-friendly services such as on-site bank financing, notary and title service and a wide variety of dining choices.
