Sunbury Manor School

The Institute of Telecommunications Professionals (ITP) is a membership organisation for professionals in the telecommunications industry, based in the United Kingdom. The Institute was originally founded in 1906. It is now a registered company with Companies House in the United Kingdom, incorporated in 2002. Brendan O' Mahony has been the chief executive of the ITP.The institute has an associated journal, the Journal of the Institute of Telecommunications Professionals, established in 2007 and published quarterly.

Sunbury railway station serves the town of Sunbury-on-Thames, in the Spelthorne district of Surrey, England. It is 16 miles 64 chains (27.0 km) down the line from London Waterloo. The station and all trains serving it are operated by South Western Railway.

St Paul's Catholic College is a coeducational Roman Catholic secondary school and sixth form located in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, England. St Paul's is a 1987 amalgamation of Cardinal Godfrey Boys' School and St Teresa's Girls' School both established in the early 20th century.

The Bishop Wand Church of England School is a secondary school with academy status located in Sunbury-on-Thames, England. The school has been co-educational since its founding and caters for students in the 11–18 age range in that it has its own sixth form. The school has six houses, named after relevant Anglican dioceses to the life of its namesake, Bishop Wand, which compete in sports and other activities.

The Hazelwood Centre is a rugby union ground and sports facility in Sunbury-on-Thames in the English county of Surrey. The facility served as the home of London Irish with the clubs' administrative offices being based here. The professional side used the facility for training, Premiership Rugby Shield matches and pre-season friendlies. London Irish Amateur Rugby Football Club train and play all home games here.

Sunbury-on-Thames (or commonly Sunbury) is a suburban town on the north bank of the River Thames in the Borough of Spelthorne, Surrey, centred 13 mi (21 km) southwest of central London. Historically part of the county of Middlesex, in 1965 Sunbury and other surrounding towns were initially intended to form part of the newly created county of Greater London but were instead transferred to Surrey. Sunbury adjoins Feltham to the north, Hampton to the east, Ashford to the northwest and Shepperton to the southwest. Walton-on-Thames is to the south, on the opposite bank of the Thames. The town has two main focal points: Lower Sunbury (known locally as Sunbury Village) is the older part, adjoining the river. Sunbury Common (known locally as Sunbury Cross) is to the north and surrounds the railway station and the London end of the M3 motorway. Lower Sunbury contains most of the town's parks, pubs and listed buildings, whereas Sunbury Common is more urban and includes offices and hotels. Lower Sunbury holds an annual fair and regatta each August. Sunbury railway station is on the Shepperton branch line. Trains to and from London Waterloo are operated by South Western Railway.

Upper Halliford railway station is immediately north of the border of Upper Halliford in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, England. It is 17 miles 34 chains (28.0 km) down the line from London Waterloo. The station and all trains serving it are operated by South Western Railway.

Sunbury on Thames Urban District, also known as Sunbury Urban District, was a local government district from 1894 to 1974 comprising the town and parish of Sunbury-on-Thames and from 1930 also the parishes of Littleton and Shepperton.

Kempton Park railway station in Sunbury-on-Thames in Surrey is on the Shepperton branch line, 16 miles 26 chains (26.3 km) down the line from London Waterloo. The station and all trains serving it are operated by South Western Railway. Access is from the front car park of Kempton Park Racecourse. Kempton Park is only around 600 metres (660 yd) from Sunbury station, the shortest distance between two stations on the line. Until June 2006 it opened only for event days at Kempton Park Racecourse; since then, following the increase in racing days and after consultation with the Jockey Club, it has had stopping services every day.

The Church of St Mary the Virgin is a Grade II* listed church of the Church of England in the village of Sunbury next to the river Thames.

Sunbury Lock Ait is the ait (island) in the River Thames in England adjacent to Sunbury Lock between Walton-on-Thames, and Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey. It is unpopulated, but accessible by a footbridge over the lock cut from a wide section of the Thames Path towpath on the southern bank as well as walkways on the lock gates. Thirdly, a walkway links to Wheatley's Ait upstream, across the weir, but this is closed to the public. The quite long, thin island is inaccessible from Sunbury-on-Thames where it faces a long section of public riverbank, a few private conservation area Victorian terraces with moorings and two pubs also with moorings. The lock island existed before the widening and deepening of the lock cut (navigation). It was for centuries known as "Sunbury Church Ait" until the City of London Corporation purchased it from about six proprietors to build the lock, which was completed in 1815, although a flash weir had been in existence since at least the 18th century. The footbridge and old lock house are where the lock originally sat, upstream of the present locks.The Island has trees, ferns and brambles, the Middle Thames Yacht (motor boat) Club and a private boat mending yard.

Kempton Park, England formerly an expanded manor known as Kempton, Kenton and other forms, today refers to the land owned by (estate in property of) the Jockey Club: Kempton Park nature reserve and Kempton Park Racecourse in the Spelthorne district of Surrey. Today's landholding was the heart of, throughout the Medieval period, a private parkland – and its location along with its being a royal manor rather than ecclesiastic, or high-nobility manor led to some occasional residence by Henry III and three centuries later hunting among a much larger chase by Henry VIII and his short-reigned son, Edward VI. Kempton appears on the Middlesex Domesday Map as Chenetone a soon-after variant of which was Chennestone (the "k" sound rendered with "ch" and n's proceeded with an "e" due to the early Middle English orthography used by those scribes) later written, alongside data proving a period of regal use, as Kenyngton. The period of the last's writing was a source of ambiguity as it coincided with common forms of writing Kennington in Surrey. A wooded demesne at heart — the first Kempton Park was inclosed by royal licence in 1246. Its farmed-out outland smallholdings were for much of its history a considerably smaller manor than that of Sunbury, in which parish the whole estate is. Most of the ward of Sunbury East was in medieval times part of Kempton, as was the land of the Stain Hill Reservoirs and Kempton Park Reservoirs. No trace can be found of the chief tenant enjoying more than permissive, informal rights such as his tenants sharing in pasture on the common in the north of the parish of Sunbury, in which parish the manor lay.
