La Chapelle-Achard

Les Achards (French pronunciation: [le.z‿aʃaʁ]) is a commune in the department of Vendée, western France. The municipality was established on 1 January 2017 by merger of the former communes of La Mothe-Achard (the seat) and La Chapelle-Achard.

La Mothe-Achard (French pronunciation: [la mɔt aʃaʁ]) is a former commune in the Vendée department in the Pays de la Loire region in western France. On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new commune Les Achards.

It is located in the Vendée department, in the Pays de la Loire region, western France. Created in 2017, its seat is in Les Sables-d'Olonne. Its area is 172.1 km2. Its population was 54,258 in 2019, of which 45,030 in Les Sables-d'Olonne proper.

Château-d'Olonne (French pronunciation: [ʃɑto dɔlɔn]) is a former commune of the Vendée department in the Pays de la Loire region of Western France. On 1 January 2019, it was merged into the commune of Les Sables-d'Olonne.
