Marist Catholic High School is a private Roman Catholic, college preparatory school in Eugene, Oregon, United States founded by the Marist Brothers. It is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Portland.

KWVA (88.1 FM) is a college radio station broadcasting from the EMU building on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, United States. Licensed to the University of Oregon, it serves the Eugene/Springfield metropolitan area and has a live online stream. KWVA primarily plays a varied mix of music, in addition talk shows and live college sports broadcasts. KWVA regularly broadcasts a variety of locally produced and syndicated news programs including Democracy Now!, broadcast every weekday morning from 7:00–8:00 am, Health Matters broadcast Mondays 7:00pm–7:30pm, Anarchy Hour broadcast Tuesdays 7:00pm–7:30pm, and Occupy Radio broadcast Wednesdays 7:00pm–7:30pm. KWVA regularly broadcasts University of Oregon athletics played in Eugene, including football, softball, volleyball and women's soccer. KWVA Sports also calls local high school football and basketball games. KWVA is wholly student-operated and owned, though community members not affiliated with the University of Oregon can volunteer to be on-air DJs. Since Winter 2009, KWVA has kept up-to-date playlists of every show aired in an online database.

KORE (1050 AM) is a commercial radio station dual licensed to Springfield and Eugene, Oregon. It airs a sports radio format and is owned by KORE Broadcasting, LLC. The studios and offices are on Willagillespie Road off Oregon Route 132 in Eugene. By day, KORE is powered at 5,000 watts non-directional. As 1050 AM is a Mexican clear channel frequency reserved for XEG-AM in Monterrey, KORE reduces power at night to 105 watts. The transmitter site is on Goodpasture Road near the Willamette River in Eugene. Programming is also heard on 250-watt FM translator K275CX at 102.9 MHz. Television station KLSR-TV (channel 34) also carries KORE audio overnight.

KKNX (840 AM) is a classic hits radio station broadcasting to the Eugene, Oregon, area on 840 AM. 840 AM is a United States clear-channel frequency, on which WHAS in Louisville, Kentucky is the dominant Class A station. KKNX must reduce nighttime power to protect the skywave signal of WHAS.

North Eugene High School is a public high school in the River Road/Santa Clara neighborhoods of Eugene, Oregon, United States.

River Road is a census-designated place (CDP) adjacent to the city of Eugene in Lane County, Oregon, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.The CDP is in north-central Lane County, on the northwest side of Eugene. It extends from the junction of River Road and the Northwest Expressway in the south to Oregon Route 569, the Randy Papé Beltline, in the north. River Road and the Northwest Expressway form the eastern and western boundaries of the CDP, respectively. Numerous outlying areas belonging to the city of Eugene are scattered throughout the CDP, which is otherwise unincorporated. River Road is an extremely car-dependent area with multiple pedestrian and car fatalities per year. However, as part of EmX's Moving Ahead initiative establishing a bus rapid transit lane and protected bike lanes, more transit options will become available to residents. These changes have proven highly controversial, and the City Councillor representing River Road, Claire Syrett, is facing a recall election as of August 2022.

Valley River Center is a super-regional-class shopping mall located in Eugene, Oregon, U.S. It is the largest shopping center between Portland and Sacramento. The mall features over 90 local and national stores and restaurants. Anchor stores include JCPenney, Macy's, Regal Cinemas, and Round One Entertainment. Located on the banks of the Willamette River, the mall is easily accessible by bike and walking paths.

Gillespie Butte is a hill in Eugene, Oregon, in the United States. Gillespie Butte is located in Lane County, Oregon, in the western part of the country. The butte is 610 feet (186 m) above sea level, or 210 feet (64 m) above the surrounding terrain. It is about 1.3 miles (2.1 km) wide at its base. The butte is full of oak trees and offers views of the city from all directions, including of Autzen Stadium and downtown Eugene. The butte was named for the Reverend Jacob Gillespie, who came to Oregon from Missouri in 1851, and who took up land near the butte. He was virtually founder of the Cumberland Presbyterian church in Eugene, and held a slave in Oregon, despite the formal prohibition of slavery in the territory (and, after 1859, state). His two daughters married William and Thomas Goodpasture. The terrain around Gillespie Butte is flat to the northwest, but hilly to the southeast. The highest point in the area is Coburg Ridge, at 2,250 feet (686 m) above sea level, 6 miles (9.8 km) northeast of Gillespie Butte. It is located within the city limits of Eugene, the center of which is 1.4 miles (2.3 km) south of Gillespie Butte. The area around Gillespie Butte is almost entirely residential, with several housing developments on the butte itself. It is on the primarily suburban north side of Eugene, within the boundaries of the Cal Young Neighborhood Association, not far from the Valley River Center mall and the Eugene Country Club golf course. The climate is Mediterranean. The average temperature is 12 °C. The warmest month is July, at 24 °C, and the coldest is January, at 2 °C. The average rainfall is 1,641 mm per year. The wettest month is March, at 242 mm of rain, and the driest is July, at 9 mm. The butte is home to a city park, spanning 5.07 acres. It is also home to a cemetery.

Whiteaker (almost exclusively called "the Whiteaker") is a neighborhood in Eugene, Oregon, United States. It is located to the northwest of downtown Eugene, and is home to primarily working class residents. Though it has served as an agricultural and commercial district in the past, it has become a primarily residential area. It is known as a vibrant cultural hub, center of community and environmental activism and home to alternative artists; it is increasingly also a nightlife district with many popular bars and restaurants.

Santa Clara is a community in Lane County, Oregon, United States, part of which is a neighborhood of the city of Eugene, but most of which is an unincorporated area. Prior to a number of partial annexations by the city between 1990 and 2005, Santa Clara was an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Lane County. Its current population is approximately 13,000.According to U.S. Census Bureau figures, the racial composition of Santa Clara's population is 91 percent white, 0.8 percent black, 1.2 percent American Indian, 1.2 percent Asian, 0.2 percent Pacific Islander, 2.2 percent some other race, and 3.4 percent two or more races. Latinos, who may be of any race, form 4.7 percent of Santa Clara's population.
