Lake Mohonk is a lake in Ulster County, New York, United States. It is located approximately 14 miles (23 km) northwest of Poughkeepsie. Activities on the lake are operated by Mohonk Mountain House.

Van Wagenen Stone House and Farm Complex, also known as Het Kilities Landt, is a historic home and farm complex located at Rochester in Ulster County, New York. The property includes the house, bank barn (c. 1880), small shed (c. 1890), storage barn (c. 1920), small barn with attached shed (c. 1920), and a garden shed (c. 1890). Also on the property are the remains of a smokehouse and the dug well. It is a 1+1⁄2-story, linear stone dwelling dated to the early 18th century. The front features five irregularly spaced dormers.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

It encompasses 81 contributing buildings, 5 contributing sites, and 8 contributing structures in the hamlet of Alligerville. It developed after 1828 around Lock 21 (originally Lock 22) on the Delaware and Hudson Canal and includes notable examples of Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, and Italian Villa architecture. Notable contributing resources include the John & Catrina Alliger House (c. 1828), Reformed Dutch Church of the Clove Chapel (c. 1858), Ira Brodhead House (c. 1851), John Forbes Hotel (c. 1868), Alligerville Post Office (c. 1920), Thomas S. Schoonmaker Farm (1830), Union Free District No. 1 School (1878, 1966), Canal Outbuilding (c. 1850), Hall-Latinville Summer Cottages (c. 1935), and Hall-Barrett Summer Cottage (c. 1935).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

Changes in the early 19th century added Greek Revival details. Also on the property is a large privy dated to about 1880.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The Hendrikus DuBois House is located on Albany Post Road near the line between the towns of Gardiner and New Paltz in Ulster County, New York, United States, an area once known as Libertyville. DuBois served as a captain in the Fourth Regiment of the Ulster County Militia during the American Revolutionary War. He built the house in 1775 on land his grandfather Louis, one of the original Huguenot settlers of the area, had bought from the Esopus Indians.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Rondout Valley High School (RVHS) is a public high school located in Accord, New York, United States. Operated by the Rondout Valley School District, the school serves 9th through 12th graders from Marbletown, Rosendale, and Kerhonkson. The high school, which shares its campus with Rondout Valley Middle School, was constructed in 1959. Prior to its opening, high school students in the area attended Kerhonkson High School (now Kerhonkson Elementary School).

The Survival of the Shawangunks is a triathlon held in the town of New Paltz, New York. It is unusual in that it has seven transitions among the three racing modalities, compared to the two that are typical for the sport (switching from swimming to cycling, and then from cycling to running). Self-sufficiency in this race that culminates with a thousand-foot climb to the finish line is celebrated; participants must carry their running shoes as they swim and may only have a single person assist them during the competition.
