State Theatre (Sydney)

Marble Bar is an historic bar in Sydney, Australia. Originally constructed in the George Adams-owned O'Brien Hotel in 1893, it was dismantled in 1969, then moved and rebuilt in the subterranean level of the Hilton Sydney, on George Street, in 1973. It is now a heritage-listed building.The bar was designed by Varney Parkes. Its features include plate-glass mirrors, mosaic floors, cedar timbers, a domed roof, stained-glass windows and marble walls and pilasters. Fourteen paintings by Julian Ashton are hung throughout. The only differences to the original bar is the lack of natural light, and the location of the paintings is different.

The Palace Theatre was a theatre located on Pitt Street in the Sydney central business district. It was built in 1896 by businessman George Adams as a supplement to his Tattersall's Hotel next door. The theatre hosted live performances until the 1930s, when it was converted to a cinema. It was later switched back and forth between movies and live shows, until it closed in 1969. The building was demolished in 1970. The theatre's former lot is now covered by the Hilton Sydney.

Market Street is a street in the city centre of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. It runs from Sussex Street near Darling Harbour in the west, to Elizabeth Street at St. James railway station in the east. Market Street is located in the heart of the Sydney central business district shopping precinct. The street gets its name due to the street being located at the CBD’s shopping precinct. The two flagship David Jones department stores in Sydney are located in Market Street, diagonally across the Castlereagh Street intersection. Market Street provides the southern border of Pitt Street Mall and features such shopping centres as Centrepoint, the Queen Victoria Building and Sydney Central Plaza (which includes the Sydney flagship Myer department store). The State Theatre is located between Pitt and George Street intersections. A footbridge at the end of Market street provides a direct link to Pyrmont Bridge and Darling Harbour. All traffic travels one way along Market Street, from east to west. A flyover is located at the end Market Street which links traffic to the Western Distributor and then Ultimo, Pyrmont, the Anzac Bridge and beyond. Market Street is where prominent cricketer Victor Trumper owned a sporting goods store. It was at this store in a series of meetings between Trumper, J J Giltinan and others, that the creation of the New South Wales Rugby Football League was conceived.

The Queen Victoria Building (abbreviated as the QVB) is a heritage-listed late-nineteenth-century building designed by the architect George McRae located at 429–481 George Street in the Sydney central business district, in the Australian state of New South Wales. The Romanesque Revival building was constructed between 1893 and 1898 and is 30 metres (98 ft) wide by 190 metres (620 ft) long. The domes were built by Ritchie Brothers, a steel and metal company that also built trains, trams and farm equipment. The building fills a city block bounded by George, Market, York, and Druitt Streets. Designed as a marketplace, it was used for a variety of other purposes, underwent remodelling, and suffered decay until its restoration and return to its original use in the late twentieth century. The property is owned by the City of Sydney and was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 5 March 2010.

The "Royal Clock" is located on the upper level of the southern half of the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney, Australia. It was designed by Neil Glasser and made by Thwaites & Reed of Hastings in England, and when activated, displays scenes of English royalty. The plaque on the side of the clock reads "By appointment to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Turret Clockmakers Thwaites & Reed Ltd Hastings England".

The City Tattersalls Club is a social club located in Sydney, New South Wales. The club was formed in 1895 by a group of bookmakers disgruntled with a judge's decision on a race at Kensington, New South Wales. The club is located in the heart of the central business district at Pitt Street between Market and Park Streets.

The Sydney School of Arts building, now the Arthouse Hotel, is a heritage-listed meeting place, restaurant and bar, and former mechanics' institute, located at 275-277a Pitt Street in the Sydney central business district in the City of Sydney local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by John Verge and built from 1830 to 1861. It is also known as Sydney Mechanics' School of Arts. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Westfield Sydney is a large, upmarket shopping centre in the Sydney central business district. It is located underneath the Sydney Tower and is located on Pitt Street Mall, adjacent to the MidCity, Glasshouse and near The Strand Arcade.

The Galeries is a shopping centre in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was formerly known as The Galeries Victoria until renamed in early 2013. It is located in the heart of the Sydney central business district, bounded by George, Pitt and Park Streets. The shopping centre sits below the Citigroup Centre office tower and beside the Sydney Hilton Hotel. The site on which The Galeries now stands was originally the Murdochs department store, later the flagship Waltons department store. The Waltons store was demolished in 1983, and the site sat vacant for years after the owner Alan Bond suffered major losses from the investment in Waltons. The new development, incorporating the high-rise Citigroup Centre and the Galeries Victoria as a podium, was completed in 2000. The Galeries is a four level shopping centre, that features a series of covered laneways running throughout with bridges between buildings and a central piazza area. The centre also incorporates the historic Sydney Mechanics' School of Arts, which is now the Arthouse Hotel. The centre includes direct access to Town Hall railway station via underground passageways at the southern end, adjacent to a passageway that leads to the Queen Victoria Building. A station on the Sydney Monorail was also incorporated into the centre until the monorail closed in 2013. The Citigroup Centre and combined Galeries was designed by Crone Partners Architecture Studios.

MidCity is a shopping centre in the Sydney Central Business District. It is located on Pitt Street Mall, adjacent to Westfield Sydney, The Strand Arcade and is diagonally opposite Glasshouse. MidCity has over 24 stores across Fashion, Beauty, Fitness and Lifestyle.

The Statue of Queen Victoria, currently in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, was made by John Hughes in 1908 and was originally located in Dublin. Made of bronze, it is situated on the corner of Druitt and George Street in front of the Queen Victoria Building. It was the last royal statue to have been erected in Ireland.
