Robertville is an unincorporated community in Jasper County, South Carolina, United States. It is named after the Robert family who initially settled in the area and was also the birthplace of Henry Martyn Robert, founder of Robert's Rules of Order. The community is accessible via U.S. Highway 321 and is located about halfway between Hardeeville and Estill. It is also located on the historic Sister's Ferry road where the left wing of General William Sherman's army marched through and torched the town in the "Carolinas Campaign." Notable buildings include the Robertville Baptist Church, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, Pleasant Hill Plantation, and the ruins of Black Swamp Plantation.

It is accessible from Interstate 95 via Exit 28.

The Gothic Revival style features include the asymmetrical composition, the wheel window, the buttressed tower, and board and batten sheathing. It features a three-staged bell tower.It is a member of the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina in the Anglican Church in North America. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Jasper County Courthouse, built in 1915, is an historic courthouse located in the city of Ridgeland in Jasper County, South Carolina. It was designed in the Colonial Revival style by Darlington native William Augustus Edwards who designed eight other South Carolina courthouses as well as academic buildings at 12 institutions in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. Jasper County was created in 1912 and this is the only courthouse it has ever had, On October 30, 1981, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Ridgeland is a town in Jasper and Beaufort counties, South Carolina, United States. The population was 3,749 at the 2020 census, a 7.1% decrease from 2010. It has been the county seat of Jasper County since the county's formation in 1912. As defined by the U.S. Census Bureau, Ridgeland is included within the Hilton Head Island–Bluffton metropolitan area. Ridgeland is home to the Ridgeland Correctional Institution, a medium-security prison operated by the South Carolina Department of Corrections. Ridgeland was originally known as "Gopher Hill" in 1894, derived from the gopher tortoise, which is indigenous to the area. The name was not considered good enough for a new railroad station, so it was changed to "Ridgeland" in 1902 by the station ticket master, Frederick Henry Ingram, for the fact that the town stands on a sandy ridge that is some of the highest land in Jasper County.

Ridgeland-Hardeeville High School or RHHS is a public high school within the Jasper County School District, located in Ridgeland, South Carolina. The high school serves students in all of Jasper County and takes its name after the two major communities in the county, Ridgeland and Hardeeville. The school was formed in 2012 following the consolidation of Hardeeville High School and Ridgeland High School as part of the JCSD's overall reorganization of schools. RHHS utilizes the facilities of the former Ridgeland High School, whereas Hardeeville-Ridgeland Middle School utilizes the facilities of the former Hardeeville High School.

Ridgeland Correctional Institution is a state prison for men located in Ridgeland, Jasper County, South Carolina, owned and operated by the South Carolina Department of Corrections.The facility was opened in 1995, and houses 1165 inmates at medium security.

Thomas Heyward Academy is a private school located in Ridgeland, South Carolina. The school, founded as a segregation academy in 1970, was named after Thomas Heyward Jr., a signer of the Declaration of Independence and Articles of Confederation who was a native of Ridgeland. The schools nickname is The Rebels.It offers pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade. The school is a member of the South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA), which was founded in 1965 to provide resources for segregation academies.
