Church Street East Historic District

The Kennedy House (also Joshua Kennedy House or Kennedy-Cox House, and formerly known as Barnwell-Mitchell House) at 607 Government Street in Mobile, Alabama, was built by local landowner Joshua Kennedy, Jr in 1857.

Barton Academy is a historic Greek Revival school building located on Government Street in Mobile, Alabama, United States. It was under construction from 1836 to 1839 and was designed by architects James H. Dakin, Charles B. Dakin, and James Gallier, Sr. Gallier and the Dakin brothers also designed the nearby Government Street Presbyterian Church. Barton Academy was the first public school in the state of Alabama.

Church Street Graveyard is a historic city cemetery located in Mobile, Alabama. The cemetery is situated on 4 acres (1.6 ha) and is surrounded by a brick wall that dates to 1830. At the time that the cemetery was established it lay about a half mile away from most development, but it is now considered to be in downtown.

The Denby House is a historic raised cottage in Mobile, Alabama. The one-story brick house was built by Charles Denby in 1873. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 5, 1984. In addition to being listed individually on the National Register of Historic Places, it is also a contributing building to the Lower Dauphin Street Historic District.

Mobile Civic Center (formerly Mobile Municipal Auditorium) is a multi-purpose facility located in Mobile, Alabama. Owned by the City of Mobile and operated by ASM Global, the facility consists of three venues: a theater, an expo hall, and an arena. It is suitable for large indoor events including sporting events and trade shows. The theater seats for 1,938, while the expo hall can seat 3,000. The largest venue of the Mobile Civic Center is the arena, which can seat 10,112. The Civic Center started redevelopment in March 2018.

The Lower Dauphin Street Historic District is a historic district in the city of Mobile, Alabama, United States. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 9, 1979. The district encompasses all of Dauphin Street from Water Street to Jefferson Street. It covers 551 acres (2.23 km2) and contains 736 contributing buildings. The boundaries were increased on February 19, 1982, June 30, 1995, August 14, 1998, and September 3, 2019. The buildings range in age from the 1820s to the 20th century and include the Federal, Greek Revival, Queen Anne, Italianate, and various other Victorian architectural styles.

The Martin Horst House is a historic residence in Mobile, Alabama, United States. It was built in 1867 in the Italianate Style. The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 21, 1971.

It is the metropolitan see of the Province of Mobile, which includes the suffragan bishopric sees of the Diocese of Biloxi, the Diocese of Jackson, and the Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama. It was established as the Archdiocese of Mobile on November 16, 1980. The Archbishop of Mobile is the pastor of the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception located in Mobile, Alabama.

The Vickers and Schumacher Buildings are a pair of historic adjoining commercial buildings in downtown Mobile, Alabama. The two-story brick masonry buildings were completed in 1866 and once served to house the Schumacher Carriage Works. They were placed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 22, 1983. The buildings were purchased by Cornell Family Properties in 2005 and restored.

Washington Firehouse No. 5, also known as Fire Station No. 5, is a historic fire station in Mobile, Alabama, United States. The two-story brick Greek Revival building was built in 1851 at a cost of $5,500. It was constructed to house the privately run Washington Fire Company. The building features a Doric distyle-in-antis arrangement at the street level supporting an upper story with jib windows opening onto a cantilevered iron balcony. The building was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1936 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 22, 1983.
