Augusta International Raceway

Richmond County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 206,607. It is one of the original counties of Georgia, created February 5, 1777. Following an election in 1995, the city of Augusta (the county seat) consolidated governments with Richmond County. The consolidated entity is known as Augusta-Richmond County, or simply Augusta. Exempt are the cities of Hephzibah and Blythe, in southern Richmond County, which voted to remain separate. Richmond County is included in the Augusta-Richmond County, GA-SC metropolitan statistical area.

WAKB (100.9 FM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Hephzibah, Georgia, and serving the Augusta metropolitan area. It is owned by Perry Broadcasting and broadcasts an urban adult contemporary radio format. The radio studios and offices are on Broadcast Drive at Radio Station Road in North Augusta, South Carolina. WAKB carries the syndicated "Rickey Smiley Morning Show" from Dallas. WAKB has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 16,000 watts. The transmitter tower is located on Tobacco Road near Windsor Spring Road in Augusta.

Seclusaval and Windsor Spring is a historic property in Richmond County, Georgia that includes a Greek Revival building built in 1843.It was deemed notable historically in several ways: for its association with the historic Windsor Spring Water Company that sold water from the spring on the property for having a short but intact part of historic Tobacco Road, a road which connected Savannah River docks to the big tobacco plantations of the county. Tobacco was brought to the river in hogsheads drawn by mules. This road section was never paved. for being the nucleus of a settlement of relatives of Valentine Walker, a settlement that might have been the basis for a town or city, but which remained a small family settlement.It is also significant for the architecture of the main house on the property, Seclusaval, which is a "Sand Hills-type cottage". Sand Hills-type cottage architecture is a local, modified form of Greek Revival architecture. The form has symmetry, wide entablatures, and classic columns of the Greek Revival style. And the front doorway of the house has a rectangular transom with side lights, also consistent with Greek Revival style. But it also has a "one-story, high-pitched side gable roof, three gable dormers, and a full-facade porch" that characterize the Sand Hills variation. Seclusaval is "an excellent example" of this type.The property has eight contributing buildings and two other contributing structures (a spring house and a pavilion). The buildings are the main house, a slave cabin, a playhouse, a well house, a privy, a pantry, a smoke house, and a barn.The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Hephzibah () is a city in southern Richmond County, in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is part of the Augusta metropolitan area. The population was 4,011 at the 2010 census, and 3,830 in 2020. Hephzibah is a poetic name used in the Book of Isaiah (62:4) to refer to Jerusalem, meaning "My delight is in Her."

Hephzibah High School is a high school located in south Richmond County in the town of Hephzibah, Georgia, United States. It is the largest high school, by attendance, in the Richmond County School System. It is located in a rural area and its students generally live in a rural or suburban setting.

Augusta Technical College is a public technical school based in Augusta, Georgia. It was opened in 1961 and is part of the Technical College System of Georgia. The school has three campuses, one in Augusta (Richmond County), another in Thomson (McDuffie County), and the third in Waynesboro (Burke County); a center in Grovetown (Columbia County); and has courses in cyber, digital education, and information technology at the Georgia Cyber Center in downtown Augusta. All campuses are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

Glenn Hills Comprehensive High School is a public high school located in the south Augusta area of Augusta, Georgia, United States. It opened in 1967.

Fort Gordon, formerly known as Camp Gordon, is a United States Army installation established in October 1941. It is the current home of the United States Army Signal Corps, United States Army Cyber Command, and the Cyber Center of Excellence. It was once the home of The Provost Marshal General School and Civil Affairs School. The fort is located southwest of Augusta, Georgia. One of the major components of the installation is Advanced Individual Training for Signal Corps military occupational specialties. Signals Intelligence has become more visible and comprises more and more of the fort's duties. The installation was recommended for renaming to Fort Eisenhower by The Naming Commission. On 5 January 2023 William A. LaPlante, US under-secretary of defense for acquisition and sustainment (USD (A&S)) directed the full implementation of the recommendations of the Naming Commission, DoD-wide.

WEKL, known on-air as "K-Love", is a Contemporary Christian radio station in the United States, licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to Augusta, Georgia, broadcasting on 102.3 MHz with an ERP of 1.5 kW. Its studios are located at the Augusta Corporate Center with the market’s other iHeartMedia owned sister stations in Augusta, and the transmitter is located in Augusta near Fort Gordon.

WDRR also known as "93.9 Bob FM", is a classic hits radio station located in Augusta, Georgia. The station is licensed to the town of Martinez, Georgia by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and broadcasts with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 13 kW. The station is owned by Beasley Broadcast Group, Inc., through licensee Beasley Media Group, LLC. Its studios are located just two blocks from the Augusta-Richmond County border in unincorporated Columbia County, Georgia and the transmitter is in Augusta proper near Fort Gordon.

The Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center (EAMC) is a 93-bed medical treatment facility located on Fort Gordon, GA, located near Augusta, Georgia that previously served as the headquarters of the Army's Southeast Regional Medical Command (SERMC). SERMC oversaw the Army's hospitals and clinics within the southeastern United States and Puerto Rico. SERMC was renamed Southern Regional Medical Command (SRMC) and was relocated to San Antonio in 2009.
