Sheung Shui

The Sheung Shui Mosque and Islamic Centre (traditional Chinese: 上水清真寺暨伊斯蘭中心; simplified Chinese: 上水清真寺暨伊斯兰中心; pinyin: Shàngshuǐ Qīngzhēnsì Jì Yīsīlán Zhōngxīn) is a proposed mosque and Islamic centre currently under construction in Fanling–Sheung Shui New Town, North District, New Territories, Hong Kong. It will be the 6th mosque built in Hong Kong and the first one in New Territories. Upon completion, the mosque will serve the increasing population of Muslims living in New Territories, which numbers well over 50,000. It will be operated by United Muslims Association of Hong Kong.

Shek Wu Hui (Chinese: 石湖墟) is a non-administrative subdivision (neighbourhood) and former indigenous market town located in Sheung Shui in the North District of Hong Kong. The place name can be found in the record that published in 1819.

North District Sports Ground (Chinese: 北區運動場) is a multi-purpose sports ground located at 26 Tin Ping Road, Sheung Shui, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong Government.

Woodland Crest (Chinese: 奕翠園) is a private housing estate in Sheung Shui, New Territories, Hong Kong. It was developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties, and is managed by Hong Yip Service Co. Ltd. It has a total of 548 apartments, and was completed in May 1996. Sun Hung Kai initiated the development of smart cards in the residential complex early in 1996, the first of its kind.

Po Shek Wu Estate (Chinese: 寶石湖邨) is a public housing estate located at the junction of Po Shek Wu Road and Choi Yuen Road in Sheung Shui, New Territories, Hong Kong near MTR Sheung Shui station. It comprises three residential blocks of 25, 29 and 33 storeys on a 3-storeyed carpark podium including one semi-basement storey for car park at a total number of 1,144 units completed in 2019. In addition, there is an ancillary facility block including socket-H pile foundation, superstructure and E&M services, one kindergarten, ground floor retail facilities and roof garden site formation and slope upgrading works.

Landmark North (Chinese: 上水廣場) is an office tower-and-shopping centre complex in Sheung Shui, Hong Kong. It was developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties and is located in the commercial centre of Sheung Shui.

The Shek Sheung River (Chinese: 石上河; also known as River Sutlej), is a river in northern New Territories, Hong Kong. The river originates near Choi Po Court and Hong Kong Golf Club then flows beside the East Rail line before discharging into the Ng Tung River.

Tai Tau Leng (Chinese: 大頭嶺) is a Punti walled village in Sheung Shui, North District, Hong Kong.

Sheung Shui (Chinese: 上水; Cantonese Yale: Seuhngséui; pronounced: [sœːŋ˨.sɵy˧˥], literally "Above-water") is the penultimate northbound station on the East Rail line in Hong Kong. This station serves as the northern terminus of the East Rail line after the Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau boundary crossings have closed for the day. It is also the last northbound station on the East Rail line that passengers without a Closed Area Permit, Mainland Travel Permit, or valid passport and mainland Chinese visa may freely travel to. This station is located in the North District, New Territories, Hong Kong, serving the Sheung Shui area and its vicinity.

The Sheung Shui Slaughterhouse (Chinese: 上水屠房; Jyutping: soeng6 seoi2 tou4 fong4) is a slaughterhouse in the outskirts of Sheung Shui, New Territories, Hong Kong. The installation was built by China State Construction. Construction began in February 1997, at a cost of HK$ 1.858 billion. It covers 5.8 hectares and is the largest slaughterhouse in Hong Kong, as well as being one of the largest in Asia according to the Architectural Services Department.As of January 2000, pollution and hygienic controls of the slaughterhouse conform to international standard, and received ISO 14001 environmental management certification. The slaughterhouse is currently managed and operated by Ng Fung Hong Limited, who were contracted by the Hong Kong Government. Today, the slaughterhouse can accommodate 12,000 pigs and 2200 cows. It is outfitted with sewage treatment, a water recycling plant and advanced slaughter machines which can operate mostly without manpower. The facility can slaughter up to 5000 pigs, 400 cows and 300 lambs per day.

Wa Shan Tsuen (Chinese: 華山村) is a village in Sheung Shui, North District, Hong Kong near the Ng Tung River.

Choi Yuen Estate (Chinese: 彩園邨) is a public housing estate in Sheung Shui, New Territories, Hong Kong, near Landmark North and MTR Sheung Shui station. It is the first public housing estate in North District and consists of six residential buildings completed between 1981 and 1983. Yuk Po Court (旭埔苑) and Choi Po Court (彩蒲苑) are Home Ownership Scheme courts in Sheung Shui near Choi Yuen Estate, built in 1982 and 1984 respectively.
