KPXM-TV (channel 41) is a television station licensed to St. Cloud, Minnesota, United States, broadcasting the Ion Television network to the Minneapolis–Saint Paul area. The station is owned and operated by the Ion Media subsidiary of the E. W. Scripps Company, and maintains a sales office on 176th Street NW near Big Lake; its transmitter is located in Nowthen, Minnesota. KPXM-TV also serves the Mankato market (via K20LP-D in nearby St. James through the local municipal-operated Cooperative TV [CTV] network of translators), as that area does not have an Ion station of its own.

The H. G. Leathers House is a historic house in St. Francis, Minnesota, United States. It was originally built on a site near the Rum River around 1883. Around 1890 it was moved closer to the river and expanded. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 for its local significance in the themes of architecture and commerce. It was nominated for its association with three generations of an influential local family, and for its status as one of Anoka County's few Victorian houses.

Lake George is a small lake in Anoka County, Minnesota, located within the city of Oak Grove, 12 miles (19 km) north of the city of Anoka. Minnesota's Department of Natural Resources tracks the lake by the name George and the identifier 02-0091-00. The USGS tracks the lake by the ID 644081 and the coordinates of 45°21′25″N 93°20′10″WRoughly circular in shape with two marshes encircling Greenwald Island on the Southern shore, Lake George Regional Park covers much of the North shore. The park has picnic areas, a boat launch, and a large roped-off swimming beach. The lake is used during the summer and winter for water skiing, fishing, ice fishing, canoeing, and snowmobiling. With the exception of a few vacant lots, a wetland area in the southeast corner at the lake outlet, a new development on the west end, and the County property, there are homes located along the entire lake.The regions around the lake are known as: Paradise Alley, Beaver Shores, Lake George Regional Park, Cattail Oak, Shady Oak, South Bay, Greenwald Island, Indian Ridge Road.

The Riverside Hotel is a historic former hotel in St. Francis, Minnesota, United States. It was originally built around 1860 as a residence, then expanded into a hotel beginning in 1891. This period spanned the heyday of the local lumber industry that urbanized present-day Anoka County, Minnesota. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 for its local significance in the theme of commerce. It was nominated for being the only surviving commercial building dating to St. Francis's settlement as a lumber boomtown, and its association with the Woodbury family that helped found St. Francis and Anoka, Minnesota.The building is now a restaurant called the Rum River Inn.

Saint Francis High School (SFHS) is a high school located in St. Francis, Minnesota, United States. It is part of ISD 15 and covers about 165 square miles. Independent School District 15 includes the cities of St. Francis, Bethel, East Bethel, Oak Grove, portions of Andover and Nowthen, as well as portions of Athens and Stanford townships. The district is supported by a population of over 26,000 and annually educates about 6,000 people. There are three elementary schools (K–5) and one middle school (6–8) that send students to the high school.

The Sparre Barn is a round barn in the city of Nowthen, Minnesota, United States. The barn is located on the west shore of Bass Lake. The basement is constructed of red tile, and the upper level of the barn is sheathed with shiplap siding. The interior space contains a circle of stanchions for feeding cattle, while the upper level has storage for feed and equipment.The barn was built between 1917 and 1924. The architect, Ernest Benjamin Marsh who along with his father Fredrick L. Marsh, was locally known for other structures such as neoclassical and Georgian Revival residences. This round barn was part of a trend, which started in the late 19th century, of round barns whose plans were circulated as an advance in "scientific agriculture." The barn was used as a dairy barn from 1924 through the 1940s. As Anoka County experienced more suburban development, the majority of the county's dairy barns were demolished. The Sparre Barn was the best-preserved dairy barn in the county, as of the time of nomination in 1979.

Ramsey is a suburban city 22 miles (35 km) north-northwest of downtown Minneapolis in Anoka County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 27,646 at the 2020 census. It is a northwest suburb of the Twin Cities. U.S. Highways 10 / 169 (co-signed) and State Highway 47 are two of the main routes, and a station on the Northstar Commuter Rail line to downtown Minneapolis is located in Ramsey.
