Sullivan Street is a street in Lower Manhattan, which previously ran north from Duarte Square at Canal Street, but since around 2012 begins at Broome Street, to Washington Square South, through the neighborhoods of Hudson Square, SoHo, the South Village and Greenwich Village. It runs parallel to and between Macdougal Street (to the west) and Thompson Street (to the east). Part of the street is in the MacDougal–Sullivan Gardens Historic District. The street was named for Revolutionary War Major General John Sullivan in 1799; before then, it was known as Locust Street.Notable places include 83 and 85 Sullivan Street; 116 Sullivan Street; Vesuvio Playground at Spring Street, a neighborhood park, formerly named Thompson Street Playground; and St. Anthony of Padua Church at 155 Sullivan Street, near the corner of Houston Street. Notable residents include Vincent Gigante; Fiorello La Guardia, three-term Mayor of New York City, who was born at 177 Sullivan Street; Anna Wintour; Edgard Varèse and his wife Louise lived at no. 188.

The Church of St. Anthony of Padua is a Catholic parish church in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located at 155 Sullivan Street at the corner of West Houston Street, in the South Village and SoHo neighborhoods of Manhattan, New York City. It was established in 1859 as the first parish in the United States formed specifically to serve the Italian immigrant community.

116 Sullivan Street is on Sullivan Street in SoHo, Manhattan, New York. The red four-story brick Federal townhouse was built in 1832 as an investment by Charles Starr (bookbinder) and includes some Greek Revival details. It was heightened two stories in 1872. The structure is noteworthy for its elaborated round-arched brownstone doorcase, or "enframement of the front door," which has an exceptional treatment of painted timber Ionic half-column sidelights, unique and highly significant in New York City architecture. Due to the sidelights, "instead of leaded glass, typical of the time, each sidelight is divided into three superimposed oval sections. The ovals are formed by a richly carved wood enframement that simulates a cloth sash curtain drawn through a series of rings." The house stands on land previously belonging to the farm of Nicholas Bayard, Peter Stuyvesant's brother-in-law, and is one of seven houses that was built as an investment by Charles Starr, a bookbinder, whose business was on Nassau Street. Starr's own house at 110 Sullivan Street was 32 feet wide, unusually large for the time. It has been restored.

203 Prince Street is an historic townhouse on Prince Street between MacDougal and Sullivan Streets in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan, New York. Built in 1834 with 2+1⁄2 stories on land that was once part of the estate of Aaron Burr, the house acquired an additional full story in 1888. Primarily constructed in the late Federal style, the building also has elements of the Greek Revival style.The house was designated a New York City landmark in 1974, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Hamburger America is a luncheonette-style hamburger restaurant located at 51 MacDougal Street in SoHo, Manhattan, New York City. It was founded in 2023 by American chef, television personality, and burger scholar George Motz as an homage to the history of the hamburger in the United States. Specializing in traditional smash burgers, French fries, sandwiches, and milk drinks including egg cream, the restaurant offers 11-stool counter service, booth and table seating, and take-out.

The Hot Feet Club was a popular nightclub in New York City that operated from 1928 until 1933, approximately. The mob-controlled speakeasy attracted "some of the best crowds" of the day, such as boxing champion Gene Tunney and Mayor Jimmy Walker. Like some other clubs, it was racially segregated, with mostly white audiences coming to see mostly black performers. It opened at 11 p.m. but didn't really get going until later. Some performances were broadcast from 1:00 to 1:30 a.m. At different times, bands led by Otto Hardwick and Elmer Snowden were featured. Some of the greatest singers and musicians of the time performed at the club, including Alberta Hunter, pianist and composer Fats Waller, and jazz drummer Chick Webb. With a well-to-do clientele, the performers were well paid, sometimes making $10-15 or as much as $30 in tips per night, equivalent to a week's salary at the time. The relatively small club was located in a storefront at 142 West Houston Street, on the north side of the street between Sullivan Street and MacDougal Street in Greenwich Village, in a building still extant. It was said to be owned principally by Harry Lyons, a reputed gangster from the Bronx, although some sources say it was owned by a man named Walsh who was killed by members of the Chicago mob when he tried to open a second location for the club there, leading to the demise of the Hot Feet Club.

83 and 85 Sullivan Street are on Sullivan Street between Broome Street and Spring Street in Manhattan, New York. They are the two surviving Federal style rowhouses on this location, which was at one point part of the Bayard farm.

Vesuvio Playground is an 0.64-acre (2,600 m2) neighborhood park located on the corner of Thompson Street and Spring Street, off of Prince Street, in SoHo, Manhattan, New York City.It was named in the late 1990s after the nearby popular Vesuvio Bakery on nearby Prince Street, which was in turn named for the stratovolcano Mount Vesuvius. The volcano erupted in A.D. 79, destroying the Roman city of Pompeii. The park was named to honor the owner of the bakery; it could not be named after him because Parks Department policy prohibited the naming of the park after a living person. The playground was formerly named Thompson Street Playground, after the adjacent Thompson Street, which was in turn named after Revolutionary War Brigadier General William Thompson in the late 18th century.The playground's land was purchased by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation in pieces, in 1929, 1930, and 1957. The park has basketball courts, handball courts, bocce courts, a three-foot mini-pool, playgrounds, sandboxes, water fountains, spray showers, and public bathrooms. A $2.9 million renovation of the park was completed in 2007.

ZZ's Clam Bar is a seafood restaurant in New York City. The restaurant, run by Major Food Group, is on the same street as their restaurant Carbone. ZZ's Clam Bar received a Michelin star in 2014, and as of 2022 has retained that rating every year thereafter.

The MacDougal–Sullivan Gardens Historic District is a small historic district consisting of 22 houses located at 74–96 MacDougal Street and 170–188 Sullivan Street between Houston and Bleecker Streets in the South Village area of the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. The district was designated a New York City landmark in 1967 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
