Yangmei District

Yangmei (Chinese: 楊梅車站; pinyin: Yángméi Chēzhàn) is a railway station on the Taiwan Railways Administration West Coast line located in Yangmei District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan.

The Taiwan Provincial Consultative Council (TPCC) was the council of the streamlined Taiwan Province of the Republic of China. In July 2018, all duties of the Taiwan Provincial Government and TPCC were transferred to the National Development Council and other ministries of the Executive Yuan.

The Wistron Ladies Open is a professional golf tournament on the Taiwan LPGA Tour first played in 2020. It became co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour in 2024. The tournament, held at Sunrise Golf and Country Club near Taoyuan, Taiwan ahead of the Hero Women's Indian Open, is one of 12 LET events in 2024 to feature a prize fund of at least $1 million.

National Central University (NCU, Chinese: 國立中央大學; Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: Kwet-li̍p Chung-yong Thài-ho̍k, Wade–Giles: Kuo2 Li4 Chung Yang Ta4 Hsüeh2 or Chung-ta 中大) is a public research university with long-standing traditions of the Republic of China based in Taiwan. It was founded in 1902 and renamed in 1915. The school was initially located in Miaoli when it first moved to Taiwan, but relocated to Zhongli in 1962 and developed into a comprehensive university. It's the first university in Taiwan to research industrial economics, and economic development (Taiwan's Consumer Confidence Index is released monthly by NCU). NCU is a member of AACSB. NCU is one of the six national universities in research selected by the Ministry of Education.NCU now has eight colleges in different areas, including the College of Liberal Arts, College of Science, College of Engineering, College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, College of Biomedical Science and Engineering, College of Earth Sciences, College of Management, and College of Hakka Studies, also with areas in sociology, law and government studies, etc. The undergraduate population is represented by the Associated Students of National Central University (Chinese: 國立中央大學學生會; pinyin: Guólì Zhōngyāng Dàxué Xuéshēnghuì), founded in 1991.

Pingzhen District (Chinese: 平鎮區; pinyin: Píngzhèn Qū) is a district in the central part of Taoyuan City, Taiwan, home to 227,047 people.

The Affiliated Zhongli Senior High School of National Central University (Chinese: 國立中央大學附屬中壢高級中學) is a public high school, which is located in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. National Zhongli Senior High School was previously a Japanese Temple built in October 1939. After KMT migrated to Taiwan, the temple was abolished and became a local senior high school.

Longtan National Speedway (Chinese: 龍潭樂活賽車場; pinyin: Lóngtán Lèhuó Sàichē Chǎng) is a Taiwanese motor racing circuit located in Longtan, Taoyuan County. It is managed by the Chinese Taipei Motor Sports Association (CTMSA).

Laojie River (Chinese: 老街溪) is a station on the Taoyuan Airport MRT located in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The station opened for commercial service in July 2023.

The Zhongli Incident was a democracy movement in the Taiwanese town of Zhongli (now Zhongli District, Taoyuan City) in 1977, after a voter reported witnessing the Kuomintang rigging the election.
