Chapman House (Syracuse, New York)

The Gang House, also known as the Gang Residence, is a historic home in Syracuse, New York designed by Ward Wellington Ward. It was built in 1914 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. The house is gabled and has a complex facade. It is brick-clad on the first floor exterior, and stuccoed above.The nearby Chapman House was also designed by Ward.

The North Salina Street Historic District is a national historic district located on the north side of Syracuse, New York. It encompasses 85 contributing buildings in a section of Syracuse that was home to many German immigrants in the 19th century, and Italian immigrants after the turn of the 20th century. It developed between about 1860 and 1960, and includes examples of Federal, Greek Revival, and Late Victorian style architecture. Notable buildings include Assumption Church (c. 1880) designed by Horatio N. White and Convent (c. 1900), Walier Building (1890), and the Albany Block (c. 1896).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. In 2019 its boundaries were increased to their present location.

The Inner Harbor is a former industrial quarter of Syracuse, New York, situated at the center of a larger district long colloquially known as Oil City, and since 1989 rebranded as the Lakefront. The waterfront zone was originally considered to be limited to just that area bounded by West Kirkpatrick, Solar, West Bear, and Van Rensselaer streets, but it has been gradually enlarged by the process of familiarity and promotion to include the opposite sides of some of those streets. The water at Inner Harbor's center can be variously viewed as the outlet of Onondaga Creek, or as a human-made extension southeasterly of Onondaga Lake, or as a small, seldom-utilized part of the modern Erie Canal. It has been the scene of more than three decades of development or redevelopment proposals, sponsored by the State of New York or the City of Syracuse, some of which has come online in the late 2010's.

Little Italy Syracuse is an ethnic enclave in Syracuse, New York that contains several bakeries, cafés, pizzerias, restaurants, beauty salons, shops, bars and nightclubs. The main street in the neighborhood is North Salina Street. Italian immigrants began to settle in the Northside of Syracuse in the early 1880s, however, the neighborhood was not officially designated as Little Italy until 2003.

The Syracuse and Onondaga County Fire Museum is a museum in Syracuse, New York to honor the history of the fire service in the City of Syracuse and surrounding areas. The museum is located in the former quarters of Engine Co. 4, on Wolf Street in Syracuse, a station built in the late 1800s. Under the leadership of former IAFF Local 280 President James Ennis, the museum has already received a donation of a former Ahrens-Fox fire engine purchased by the Syracuse Fire Department and which served as Engine 1. Another leader of this project is former Syracuse Chief Dave Reeves, who has kept watch over the history of the Department for years, and led the Department's Historical Committee. His research and collection of memorabilia aids the Museum, and led to the writing of a book, along with Tom Shand, on the history of the Apparatus of the Syracuse Fire Department, titled Signal 99.

Odd Fellows Lodge and Temple, also known as the Lincoln Lodge, is a historic Odd Fellows Lodge located near Downtown Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York. It was built in 1887, and is a three-story, Romanesque Revival style brick building. It features decorative brickwork and was expanded before 1892. It housed a public library on the first floor, lodge related dwellings on the second floor, and the Odd Fellows meeting hall on the third. It was originally a German-speaking Lodge and vacated the building in 1945.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Lakefront is one of the 26 officially recognized neighborhoods of Syracuse, New York. It borders five other Syracuse neighborhoods, with Washington Square and Near Northeast to the east, Downtown Syracuse to the southeast, and Westside and Far Westside to the south. Lakefront includes the Franklin Square, Syracuse and Inner Harbor, Syracuse areas. O.M. Edwards Building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Franklin Square is a former industrial neighborhood, turned residential and commercial, in Syracuse, New York. Officially it is part of the larger Lakefront neighborhood, which in turn is one of Syracuse's 26 officially recognized neighborhoods.

MacArthur Stadium was a stadium in Syracuse, New York. Opened in 1934 as Municipal Stadium, it was used primarily for baseball and was the home of Syracuse Chiefs before they moved to P&C Stadium, (now NBT Bank Stadium) in 1997. The ballpark had an initial capacity of 8,416 people; its capacity was increased to 10,006 before it was renamed in honor of General Douglas MacArthur in 1942. The stadium was razed in 1997 to provide a parking lot for the newly built P&C Stadium (now named NBT Bank Stadium).

The Northside is a neighborhood in the city of Syracuse, New York (USA) consisting of a residential area bordered by commercial corridors. As defined by Syracuse's "Tomorrow's Neighborhoods Today" planning system, the Northside is a large section of the city of Syracuse, covering almost four square miles. There are 16 census tracts, within which are 36 census blockgroups. Thus, there are many sub-regions that have developed with their own unique identities, such as the Near Northeast neighborhood, the Little Italy District and the Hawley-Green Historic District. The Northside of Syracuse is a neighborhood rich in history and culture. Settled primarily by German-Americans in the 19th century, the Northside soon became home to other new Americans. Once popularly identified as Little Italy, the neighborhoods cultural landmarks such as Assumption Church and the annual Columbus Day Parade speak to a lingering celebration of the population’s Italian origins. In the 21st century, the neighborhood has become home to many nations, representing a diverse array of language, culture and ethnicities. New Americans from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, Somalia, Bhurma, Nepal, Bhutan, Vietnam and Eastern Europe come together to make the neighborhood a vibrant and pluralistic area.

The Central New York Regional Market (CNY Regional Market), located on the north side of Syracuse, New York, is a State Authority (public), retail-wholesale, terminal food market complex. Although a State Authority, the Market has not received any public funding for over 20 years. In 2010, the market estimated that it had a hand in hosting sales of nearly $70 million per year in farm products.Operated by the state-established Central New York Regional Market Authority, the market has stayed at its current location since first opening for business under the government's umbrella in 1938. Its main entrance is a roadway that is today designated Farmers' Market Place, located at 2100 Park Street, immediately opposite the mouth of the Exit 23 ramp from Interstate Route 81 northbound. The market area can also be accessed via other curb cuts along Park Street, as well as via roadways NBT Bank Parkway and Tex Simone Drive which have been set up in modern times to serve both the market and its neighbors, the William F. Walsh Regional Transportation Center, and NBT Bank Stadium.
