Nova Taipa Gardens (Chinese: 濠景花園) is a property development project in Taipa, Macau, and completed from 1995 to 1996.

The Taipa Pequena (Chinese: 小潭山; Portuguese: Taipa Pequena), also known as Bodhi Mountain, is a hill located in Taipa, Macau, with an elevation of 110.8 meters.

Altira Macau (Chinese: 新濠鋒酒店, Portuguese: Altira Macau), formerly known as Crown Macau, is an integrated resort and casino in Taipa, Macau, SAR China. The hotel complex has 216 guest rooms and a spa. Altira Macau is the tallest building in Taipa and among the tallest 20 buildings in Macau.

Centro Desportivo Olímpico - Estádio (Chinese: 奧林匹克體育中心-運動場) is a multi-purpose stadium in Taipa, Macau. It was formerly named Estádio Campo Desportivo (澳門運動場) before the reconstruction of the stadium had been completed. The Olympic Sports Center is the largest sporting complex in Macau. It is more often known as the Macau Olympic Complex Stadium (Portuguese: Quintal Desportivo do Complexo Olímpico de Macau) since it is the largest facility of the complex. The complex comprises a stadium - a grass pitch (105 x 68 m) surrounded by an 8-lane athletic track and a long jump area, a 900-seated indoor stadium, a hockey centre, a practicing track and several tennis courts. In general, it is used mostly for football matches and athletics.

Macau (officially the Province of Macau from 1897 to 1976 and then Autonomous Region of Macau from 1976 to 1999) was a Portuguese colony from the establishment of the first official Portuguese settlement of Macau in 1557 to its handover to China in 1999. It comprised the Municipality of Macau and the Municipality of Ilhas. Macau was both the first and last European holding in China.

The Macau Olympic Aquatic Centre (Chinese: 澳門奧林匹克游泳館; Portuguese: Piscina Olimpica de Macau) is an aquatic center in Taipa, Macau, China. Inaugurated on March 28, 2003, the aquatic center covers a total area of 3,220 m2 and has a seating capacity of 1,500. The Aquatic Centre includes a diving pool 25 meters by 25 meters (with an adjustable floor capable of reaching a maximum depth of 5 meters) and a 50m swimming pool with 10 lanes. Both facilities comply with the latest FINA standards and are eligible for holding international competitions. Water quality is maintained by a sophisticated sanitizing system using ozone, instead of chlorine.

Freguesia de Nossa Senhora do Carmo is a civil parish in Macao Special Administrative Region. The major part of the freguesia is located in Taipa but it runs through to Hengqin Island in mainland China. The freguesia is named after the Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Carmo. It is the largest freguesia in Macau with an area of 7.9 square kilometers.

The Municipality of Ilhas (Portuguese: Concelho das Ilhas, literally "Municipality of the Islands") was one of the two municipalities of Macau, along with the Municipality of Macau. Its organs were the municipal council (Câmara Municipal das Ilhas) and the municipal assembly (Assembleia Municipal das Ilhas) (Câmara Municipal das Ilhas Provisória and Assembleia Municipal das Ilhas Provisória after December 20, 1999). Per Law No. 17/2001, the two municipalities were abolished on December 31, 2001 and replaced by the Instituto para os Assuntos Cívicos e Municipais (Institute of Civic and Municipal Affairs) the following day.

Taipa (Chinese: 氹仔, Cantonese: [tʰɐ̌m.t͡sɐ̌i̯]; Portuguese: Taipa, pronounced [ˈtajpɐ]) is an area in Macau, connected to Coloane through the area known as Cotai, which is largely built from reclaimed land. Located on the northern half of the island, Taipa’s population is mostly suburban. Administratively, the boundaries of the traditional civil parish Freguesia de Nossa Senhora do Carmo are mostly coterminous with that of the former Taipa Island, except for a portion of the parish that lies on the island of Hengqin (Montanha), housing the campus of the University of Macau.

Rua do Cunha (Chinese: 官也街; English: Cunha Street) is a narrow pedestrian street in Vila da Taipa, the town centre of Taipa, Macau. The street is named after Pedro Alexandrino da Cunha, a Portuguese navy captain who was the 81st Governor of Macau. He arrived in Macau in 1850 and he died 37 days later from cholera, being one of the first victims of the disease in Macau. It is known for souvenir shops selling almond cakes, phoenix egg rolls, coconut flakes, cherikoff, and peanut candy, It is also known for its various Portuguese restaurants, including 'O Santos', which has been in business since 1989, and 'O Galo'.

Macau Anglican College (MAC; Chinese: 聖公會中學; Portuguese: Colégio Anglicano de Macau) is a private Christian school in Taipa, Macau. Macau Anglican College was established in 2002 and provides education from kindergarten to senior secondary. It is an Anglican Foundation College, meaning it receives professional advice and financial backing from the Anglican Church in Hong Kong. The college employs a large number of Christian teachers from many Christian denominations. It works closely with the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) and students' parents who are represented by a Parent–School Association. As of 2021, the school had 1460 students.

Taipa Fortress (Chinese: 氹仔炮台; Portuguese: Fortaleza da Taipa) is a historical fortress in Northwestern Taipa, Macau, China.
