The Temple Society of Concord, commonly referred to as Temple Concord, is a Reform Jewish congregation and synagogue located at 910 Madison Street, in Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York, in the United States. Established in 1839, it is the ninth-oldest active Jewish congregation in the United States. Temple Concord, a member of the Union for Reform Judaism, is the leading Reform synagogue in Central New York, and maintains the largest Jewish religious school in the region. Religious services are held every Friday night and Saturday morning, and on Jewish holidays. Religious school and adult education programs take place twice a week. Temple Concord is also the setting for a wide array of educational, cultural and social events the serve then entire Syracuse-area community.The synagogue building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009; and in 2019 the congregation announced plans to sell the historical synagogue building, due to financial pressures.

The SUNY Eye Institute (SEI) is a consortium of scientists from five campuses within the State University of New York. Participating institutions include four SUNY medical schools (Downstate Medical Center, Upstate Medical University, Stony Brook University Medical Center, and the University at Buffalo) and the SUNY College of Optometry. The SEI was organized in 2007 and formally recognized by SUNY in 2009. Its aims are (1) to foster collaboration among SUNY research scientists in support of research on all aspects of visual function, with an emphasis on diseases of the human eye and their treatment, and (2) to enhance training in clinical and basic visual sciences in the U.S. State of New York. It receives financial support from SUNY through the SUNY REACH program.In October 2010 the SEI had 55 member scientists with primary faculty appointments. Scientific research largely overlaps with the mandate of the National Eye Institute (NEI), a part of the National Institutes of Health. The NEI provides the bulk of direct funding for research at the SEI through approximately 40 research grants to individual faculty scientists. The SEI convenes annually in early fall for a two-day scientific meeting. The meeting was held at the College of Optometry in Manhattan in 2009, at the Upstate campus in Syracuse, NY in 2010, at Stony Brook campus in 2011, and at Buffalo campus in 2012. The SEI sponsors pilot projects and hosts several lecture series that are broadcast between member campuses.

The Syracuse University College of Professional Studies, formerly known as University College, is the continuing education school of Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Founded in 1918, the school offers over one hundred bachelor's and master's degrees and certificates in flexible formats, including online, accelerated, evening, and hybrid classes, primarily catered to part-time students. Syracuse University was one of the first universities in the U.S. open to nontraditional, part-time adult students.

The Martin J. Whitman School of Management is the business school of Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Named after Martin J. Syracuse Stage is a professional non-profit theater company in Syracuse, New York, United States. It is the premier professional theater in Central New York. Each year, it offers several productions, including multiple collaborations between Syracuse Stage and the drama department of the Syracuse University College of Visual and Performing Arts. University Hill is a neighborhood and business district in Syracuse, New York, located east and southeast of Downtown Syracuse, on one of the larger hills in Syracuse. The neighborhood is bounded on the west by Almond Street and Interstate 81. It continues east to Ostrom Avenue and Thornden Park, where it borders the Westcott and University neighborhoods. The Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) is an interdisciplinary research institution that informs and advances the policy, economic and wellness concerns of the America’s veterans and families. It is housed in the National Veterans Resource Center at Syracuse University. The IVMF annually serves thousands of U.S. veterans, service members, and their families around the world and as of 2019, the Institute had served 100,000 military service members, veterans, and their families through their programs.
