Długołęka, Lower Silesian Voivodeship

Gmina Długołęka is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Wrocław County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. Its seat is the village of Długołęka, which lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north-east of the regional capital Wrocław. It is part of the Wrocław metropolitan area. The gmina covers an area of 212.41 square kilometres (82.0 sq mi), and as of 2019 its total population is 33,022.

Sibyllenort Palace (German: Schloss Sibyllenort or Polish: Pałac Sybilli) is a former palace in Szczodre, 12 kilometres north-east of Wrocław, Silesia, Poland. It was first the seat of the dukes of Oels, and later the private property of the royal Saxon family. Due to its Tudor style, it was known as the Silesian Windsor. It was destroyed in the last days of the Second World War, by soldiers of either the retreating SS or the Red Army (or both). Today, only individual remnants of buildings and the vast, largely overgrown park bear witness to the once grand and representative castle complex.
