Mieroszów [mʲɛˈrɔʂuf] (German: Friedland in Niederschlesien) is a town in Wałbrzych County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, near the border with the Czech Republic. It is the seat of the administrative district (gmina) called Gmina Mieroszów. The town lies approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) south-west of Wałbrzych, and 79 kilometres (49 mi) south-west of the regional capital Wrocław. As of 2019, the town has a population of 4,070.

First information about Goerbersdorff appears in 1357,as an existing village set most likely by Benedicts monastery in Broumov (Czech Republic). It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north-east of Mieroszów, 12 km (7 mi) south of Wałbrzych, and 75 km (47 mi) south-west of the regional capital Wrocław.

Sudety Wałbrzyskie Landscape Park (Park Krajobrazowy Sudetów Wałbrzyskich) is a protected area (Landscape Park) in south-western Poland, established in 1998, covering an area of 64.93 square kilometres (25.07 sq mi). The park lies within Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in Wałbrzych County (Gmina Czarny Bór, Gmina Głuszyca, Gmina Mieroszów). There are no nature reserves or ecological lands in the park, but there are a dozen or so natural monuments, mainly protecting unique rock formations: Czerwone Skałki Małpia Skała Stożek Wielki Szczeliny Wiatrowe Zamkowa Góra

Grzędy [ˈɡʐɛndɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Czarny Bór, within Wałbrzych County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It lies within the Central Sudetes, approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) south of Czarny Bór, 11 kilometres (7 mi) west of Wałbrzych, and 76 kilometres (47 mi) south-west of the regional capital Wrocław. The nearby Wojaczów Castle was erected at the behest of the Silesian duke Bolko I the Strict in the 13th century. Then meant as a fortress of his Duchy of Jawor near the border with Bohemia, it became less important after the Jawor line of the Silesian Piasts became extinct and their territories were incorporated into the Lands of the Bohemian Crown in 1368.
