Gmina Oleśnica is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Oleśnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. Its seat is the town of Oleśnica, although the town is not part of the territory of the gmina. The gmina covers an area of 243.44 square kilometres (94.0 sq mi), and as of 2019 its total population is 13,689.

It was created on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. The county covers an area of 1,049.7 square kilometres (405.3 sq mi). Its administrative seat is the town of Oleśnica, and it also contains the towns of Syców, Twardogóra, Bierutów and Międzybórz. As of 2019 the total population of the county is 107,090. The most populated towns are Oleśnica with 37,169 inhabitants and Syców is 10,397 inhabitants.

The town is famed for its large 16th-century castle, which has previously been the seat of several dukes and lords. The castle's inner courtyard arcades, a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture, are iconic in the region.
