Kijowice [kijɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Bierutów, within Oleśnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.It lies approximately 2 kilometres (1 mi) west of Bierutów, 13 kilometres (8 mi) south-east of Oleśnica, and 34 kilometres (21 mi) east of the regional capital Wrocław.

Holy Trinity Church in Baldwinowice, Poland, is a wooden-brick church built in 1414. The chapel of ease is located on the route between Namysłów and Kępno, being one of the oldest in Namysłów County. The oldest parts of the church (chancel and sacristy) originate from before 1414, and as such are bricked. The wooden nave was constructed in 1592, whilst the tower from the second half of the seventeenth-century. The nave-wide part of the church tower has a carport, whilst the upper tower has an eight-part tent-carport, covered with a shake wooden shingle.Presently, the church serves as a chapel of ease of St. Michael Archangel Parish in Michalice.

The Duchy of Bernstadt (German: Herzogtum Bernstadt, Polish: Księstwo bierutowskie, Czech: Bernštatské knížectví) was a Silesian duchy centred on the city of Bernstadt (present-day Bierutów) in Lower Silesia (now in Poland) and formed by separation from the Duchy of Oels (Oleśnica). It was first ruled by the Silesian Piasts dynasty, until its extinction in 1492. In 1495 it and the Duchy of Oels passed to the Dukes of Münsterberg, who came from the House of Poděbrady. In 1647 the Duchy of Bernstadt passed by marriage to the Dukes of Württemberg.

Bierutów [bʲɛˈrutuf] (German: Bernstadt in Schlesien) is a town in Oleśnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It is the seat of the administrative district (gmina) called Gmina Bierutów. The town lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) south-east of Oleśnica, and 35 kilometres (22 mi) east of the regional capital Wrocław, within its metropolitan area. As of December 2021, the town has a population of 4,728. Its castle is believed to date to the 13th century, and was the headquarters of the local forestry body after World War II.

Bierutów Castle, (formerly Bernstadt), is a castle in Bierutów, Poland. The Gothic structure is believed to have been built in the 13th century under the orders of Henry III the White, Duke of Wrocław. It underwent renovation in the Renaissance style between 1534 and 1540, but was rebuilt after a fire in 1603 during the rule of Henry Wenceslaus, Duke of Oels-Bernstadt. Later that century, Christian Urlich Wirtemberg renovated the castle, adding another floor and a Baroque portal in the south wing. It underwent extensive redevelopment in the 19th century, replacing the ruined porches, and in 1899 the north wing was completely renovated.Since World War II it has served as the headquarters of the Forest Inspectorate of Bierutów, accommodation for forestry workers and the headquarters of the Municipal Enterprise for Communal Management (MPGK), and at one stage was a kindergarten.

Karwiniec [karˈviɲɛt͡s] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Bierutów, within Oleśnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) south of Bierutów, 15 kilometres (9 mi) south-east of Oleśnica, and 36 kilometres (22 mi) east of the regional capital Wrocław.
