Varde Municipality

Varde is a Danish city in southwestern Jutland and is the primary city in the municipality of Varde, in Region of Southern Denmark. In 2015 municipality changed its motto to "We in nature" to emphasize its rural atmosphere. The town has an old market environment and is located by Varde stream/river and is a short distance away from the beaches by the North Sea. These features make it a tourist destination. The age of Varde is not known precisely, but it is mentioned in written sources from 1107 A.D. and is therefore thought have been founded sometime in the early Middle Ages.

Varde station is a railway junction, which is located on the Esbjerg–Struer railway line from Esbjerg to Struer, and is the terminus of the Varde–Nørre Nebel railway line from Varde to Nørre Nebel. The station opened in 1874. It offers regional rail services to Aarhus, Esbjerg, Herning and Skjern, and local train services to Oksbøl and Nørre Nebel, operated by the railway company Arriva.The station building from 1874 by the Danish architect Niels Peder Christian Holsøe was listed in 1992.

Alslev is a town in southwestern Jutland in the Varde Municipality, in Region of Southern Denmark. As of 1 January 2023, it has a population of 1,283.Aslev and surrounding area was impacted by the F4 tornado that hit multiple towns on november 24, 1928. Minor damage was observed within aslev.

The primary use of Esbjerg Airport is as a heliport for flying offshore out to the North Sea oil and gas platforms.

Gjesing Church, also Gesing Church, (Danish: Gjesing Kirke) is a modern church in Esbjerg in the southwest of Jutland, Denmark. Designed by architects Niels Munk and Keld Wohlert, the red-brick building with a steeply pitched roof was completed in 1983.

Kvong is a small town with a population of only 203 (1 January 2023) located in Varde Municipality in the southwestern part of the Danish peninsula of Jutland.
