Esbjerg Municipality

The 2011 World Women's Curling Championship (branded as Capital One World Women's Curling Championship 2011 for sponsorship reasons) was held in Esbjerg, Denmark at the Granly Hockey Arena from March 19–27, 2011. The Swedish rink skipped by Anette Norberg won the final game over Canada's Amber Holland after a steal of two points in the tenth end.

The Bethania Mission House, Esbjerg is located in the centre of Esberg, southwest Denmark. Inspired by Italian architecture, its main gable has a rose window flanked by spires.

The Church of Our Saviour (Danish: Vor Frelsers Kirke) is a parish church in Esbjerg, Denmark. Completed in 1887 to a design by Axel Møller, it was the first church to be built in the rapidly growing new town.

An equestrian statue of Christian IX stands on the market place in the centre of Esbjerg, Denmark. Designed in bronze by Ludvig Brandstrup, it was completed in 1899.

Esbjerg Water Tower is an iconic water tower in Esbjerg in southwest Jutland, Denmark. Completed in 1897, it was designed by Christian Hjerrild Clausen who had been inspired by Nuremberg's Nassauer Haus. It stands on a Bronze Age burial mound at the top of a cliff overlooking the harbour. As a result, it has become the landmark of Esbjerg.

The Esbjerg Art Museum (Danish: Esbjerg Kunstmuseum) is an independently owned art museum in Esbjerg in southwest Jutland, Denmark. Founded in 1910, in 1962 it moved into a new building in the City Park designed by Jytte og Ove Tapdrup. Since 1997, the museum has formed part of a complex which also contains the Esbjerg Performing Arts Centre.

I.C. Møllerparken is a recreational park located in central Esbjerg, Denmark. It covers the space of Esbjerg's first cemetery, belonging to Church of Our Saviour, which since 2005 has been disused for burials. In 2012 and 2013 the cemetery was renovated for 5,000,000 DKK and transformed into a recreational park which was opened for the public on 21 June 2013. The renovation preserved most tombstones, some of which belongs to notable pioneers in the early history of Esbjerg. The park is named after one of these, namely Jens Christian Møller who was the founder and director of A/S I C Møller the company which built and operated the first cold store warehouse for use by the fish industry.Despite its official name being I.C. Møllerparken, it is still mostly referred to by locals as Den gamle Kirkegård (The old cemetery).

The Dronning Louise (Queen Louise) is a restaurant and pub in the centre of Esbjerg, Denmark. A listed building since 1989, its facade overlooking the market place was fully restored in 1994.

The former Courthouse and Jail (Danish: Ting- og Arresthuset) in Esbjerg, Denmark, was designed by Hans Christian Amberg and completed in 1892 on the city's central square. At the time, Esbjerg had only 4,000 inhabitants but ten years later it had grown to around 13,000.

The Esbjerg Performing Arts Centre (Danish: Musikhuset Esbjerg) is a concert hall with theatrical facilities in the centre of Esberg in southwest Jutland, Denmark. Completed in 1997 to designs by the Utzons, it forms part of a complex which also contains the Esbjerg Art Museum. Its two auditoriums host classical concerts and drama productions.

St Nikolaj Church (Danish: Skt. Nikolaj Kirke) is a Roman Catholic parish church in Esbjerg in the southwest of Jutland, Denmark. Designed by Johan Otto von Spreckelsen, the rectangular building of aerated concrete was completed and consecrated in 1969.

Syddansk Musikkonservatorium - Danish National Academy of Music, as it is now known, is located in Esbjerg, Denmark, opposite St Nikolaj Church. Founded in 1946 as a local private initiative, it was first known as Vestjysk Musikkonservatorium. In 1972, it was taken over by the national authorities.Since 1998, it has been located in the refurbished and modernized premises of a former power plant built in 1907. In January 2010, the Esbjerg conservatory was merged with two other Danish institutions: the conservatory in Odense (formerly known as the Det Fynske Musikkonservatorium/The Carl Nielsen Academy of Music, Odense), and the acting school in Odense (formerly known as Skuespillerskolen ved Odense Teater). As a result, the Vestjysk Musikkonservatorium/The Academy of Music and Music Communication became the Esbjerg branch of the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, Southern Denmark (AMDA).As a result of its excellent acoustics, the conservatory's concert hall (once the power station's turbine hall) with seating for 198 is considered to be one of Europe's best venues for chamber music. The complex also provides facilities for conferences and meetings which are used by a variety of cultural institutions and collaborators.
