Anderson Serangoon Junior College

Anderson Junior College (AJC) was a junior college established in 1984 and located in Yio Chu Kang, Singapore, offering two-year pre-university courses leading to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Advanced Level examinations. In 2019, it was merged with Serangoon Junior College (SRJC) and renamed as Anderson Serangoon Junior College. The new junior college remained at AJC's site.

Yio Chu Kang is a sub-urban area in the northeast of Singapore, with proximity to the Ang Mo Kio, Lentor, Seletar and Sengkang areas. Deriving its name from the Yio Chu Kang Village, it is still known for lush greenery and low-density housing with high-rise public housing in its southern fringes.

Yio Chu Kang MRT station is an above-ground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the North South line in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore, near the junction of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8. This station primarily serves students of adjacent educational institutions such as Anderson Serangoon Junior College and Nanyang Polytechnic, as well as the residential and industrial estates in the northern part of Ang Mo Kio. The section of tracks between this station and Khatib MRT station is the longest between any two stations on the MRT network. Opened on 7 November 1987, Yio Chu Kang station is one of the five stations that collectively make up Singapore's oldest MRT stations.

Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), established in 1992, is a post-secondary education institution and statutory board under the purview of the Ministry of Education in Singapore.

Yio Chu Kang Secondary School is a co-educational government school in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore. It was first opened in 1966, and moved to its current site in 1982. It has been merged with Chong Boon Secondary School since January 2018.

Ang Mo Kio Public Library (Simplified Chinese: 宏茂桥社区图书馆) is one of the 26 public libraries established by the National Library Board of Singapore. Located along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 within walking distance of Yio Chu Kang MRT station, it serves the residents of the surrounding Ang Mo Kio GRC. As a standalone two-storey building, the library is a prominent landmark in central Ang Mo Kio.

Yio Chu Kang Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore.It has a seating capacity of 2,000. It is run by Sport Singapore and was opened to the public on 1 April 1985. It is a rugby specific stadium with 8-lane running track.

Ang Mo Kio Town Garden West is a community park that is situated opposite Ang Mo Kio Public Library, along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6.The park is popular for recreational activities including jogging and a children's playground, and there is a McDonald's restaurant located at the western side of the park and features a drive-thru facility.

Presbyterian High School is a co-educational government-aided Presbyterian secondary school in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore. It is located directly opposite Yio Chu Kang MRT station.

The Ang Mo Kio Police Division (or 'F' Division) is one of the seven land divisions of the Singapore Police Force. It was first established in 1965. It was previously located in Paya Lebar. In 1987, the division HQ moved to its present location (51 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 9 Singapore 569784) to better serve the public and meet its operational needs. Ang Mo Kio Division serves a residential population of over 1.1 million residents. Ang Mo Kio Division’s area of coverage includes mature housing estates such as Ang Mo Kio, Hougang and Serangoon. It also oversees young but rapidly-developing residential estates like Sengkang and Punggol.

Anderson Secondary School (ANDSS) is a co-educational government autonomous school in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore offering education for Secondary 1 to Secondary 5. It became an autonomous school in 1994 and was one of the pioneer autonomous schools in Singapore.

The Al-Muttaqin Mosque (Malay: Masjid Al-Muttaqin) is a mosque in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore. It is the fifth mosque completed in the country under the Mosque Building Fund Scheme Phase I. The mosque's official ground-breaking ceremony was officiated by Mr Syed Ali Redha Alsagoff, chairman of Lembaga Biasiswa Kenangan Maulud (LBKM), on 29 April 1979 and it was officially opened on 21 September 1980 by the late Mr Rahmat Kenap (MP for Geylang Serai). The chosen name Al-Muttaqin refers to the pious people who are ever aware of God the Almighty. Located at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 in the central area of the Singapore island, the Mosque serves the residents of Ang Mo Kio housing estates and it can accommodate up to 3,500 worshippers after going through a major refurbishment programme in 2016. It has gone beyond its religious function as a place of worship to even offer a homeopathy welfare clinic. Besides that, it also offers part-time religious classes (Madrasah) and kindergarten classes. It was built in the past because there was barely any place for Muslim people to worship in Ang Mo Kio. Many of these people went to Serangoon for worship. Thus, when this mosque was built it was the only mosque, and still is the only mosque in Ang Mo Kio.
