Reigle Field (FAA LID: 58N), also known as Reigle Airport, is a privately owned, public use airport located two nautical miles (4 km) south of the central business district of Palmyra, in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, United States.

It is located east of Hershey at the intersection of U.S. Route 322 and Pennsylvania Route 117 and is located in the Harrisburg metropolitan area.

Dr. B. Stauffer House is a historic home located at South Londonderry Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1848, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, 3-bay wide by 4-bay brick residence in a vernacular Georgian style. It has a hipped roof with a flat roofed dormer over the central bay. The house has a connected brick smokehouse and features a two-story verandah. The house once included an apothecary shop.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Palmyra Area Senior High School (typically referred to as Palmyra High School or PHS) is a midsized public high school located in Palmyra, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is part of the Palmyra Area School District. The school is located at 1125 Park Drive in North Londonderry Township and serves students from the western part of Lebanon County, Pennsylvania and includes: Palmyra, North Londonderry Township, South Londonderry Township, the villages of Campbelltown, Lawn, Colebrook, and Mount Gretna. The school was founded in 1962. In the 2018–2019 school year, Palmyra Area Senior High School had 1,141 students grades 9th through 12th.

Landis Shoe Company Building is a historic factory building located at Palmyra, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1905-1906 and expanded in 1911, and is a three-story, brick building on a stone foundation. It is 26 bays wide by 4 bays deep.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

North Londonderry Township is a township in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the Lebanon, PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 8,912 at the 2020 census.

Palmdale is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Derry Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of the 2010 census the population was 1,308. Palmdale is in the Harrisburg–Carlisle metropolitan statistical area. Palmdale is in eastern Derry Township and is bordered to the north, west, and south by the community of Hershey. The eastern border of Palmdale is with the borough of Palmyra in Lebanon County. U.S. Route 422 (E. Chocolate Avenue) is the main road through Palmdale. To the east it leads 12 miles (19 km) to Lebanon and 40 miles (64 km) to Reading, while to the west it leads via US 322 17 miles (27 km) to Harrisburg.

The Milton Hershey School, formerly the Hershey Industrial School, is a private boarding school in Hershey, Pennsylvania for K–12 students. The institution was founded in 1909 by chocolate industrialist Milton Hershey and his wife, Catherine Hershey. The school began with four students in 1910. Initially for only white male orphans, the school expanded in the 1960s and 70s to include girls, racial minorities, and "social orphans"—those with impoverished parents. About 2,000 students attended the school in 2020. Admission is restricted to low-income individuals aged 4–15 without intellectual or behavioral problems. Students live in group homes of uniform sex and similar age, with set schedules for elementary, middle, and high school students. The school has Christian elements but is officially non-sectarian. The school is free for students and is funded by a trust containing most of Hershey's fortune, valued at about US$15 billion, making it the wealthiest U.S. private school. Nearly half of the trust's money comes from its controlling interest in Hershey's eponymous chocolate company.

Hershey Country Club is a country club located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, which was founded in 1930 by Milton S. Hershey. The golf course in the club hosted the PGA Championship in 1940, which Byron Nelson defeated Sam Snead on the par 3 12th hole in a playoff and won and the Hershey Open from 1933 to 1941. The club has two 18 hole golf courses; the 6,860-yard, par 73 West Course which was designed by Maurice McCarthy circa 1930, and the 7,061-yard, par-71 East Course which was designed by George Fazio in 1969. The PGA Championship was contested on the West Course and the LPGA Lady Keystone Open was held on the course for almost 20 years. The club also hosted a Nationwide Tour event for eight years and the Pennsylvania Open Championship 15 times.Head golf pros at the club have included Hall of Famers Henry Picard (1934–41) and Ben Hogan (1941-51).

The 1940 PGA Championship was the 23rd PGA Championship, held August 26 to September 2 at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, Pennsylvania, east of Harrisburg. Then a match play championship, Byron Nelson won his first PGA Championship, defeating Sam Snead 1 up in the 36-hole final. It was the third of Nelson's five major titles; he won the PGA Championship again in 1945. From 1939 to 1945, Nelson made five of the six finals, missing only in 1942 (not held in 1943). Defending champion and host professional Henry Picard lost in the third round to Gene Sarazen. Also out in the third round was five-time champion Walter Hagen, age 47, in his last PGA Championship match. He gained his last win in the second round over Vic Ghezzi, the champion the following year in 1941. Hagen ended his career with a 40–10 (.800) match record in the event. He played one last time at age 49 in the qualifier in 1942, but did not advance to match play. Heavy rains on Saturday stopped play halfway through the semifinals which were completed on Sunday; the final round was pushed back to Monday, which was Labor Day. Dick Metz was the medalist in the stroke play qualifier at 140 (−6); he lost 2 & 1 in the third round to Nelson. Two-time champion Denny Shute qualified at 151, but was rushed to a local hospital for an emergency appendectomy that night.
