Grenfell Glen (also called the Grenfell Sector) is a small neighbourhood in Knoxdale-Merivale Ward in the city of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada.

The Ottawa bus–train crash was a collision that occurred between an OC Transpo double-decker bus and a Via Rail train in the Ottawa suburb of Barrhaven on September 18, 2013, that killed six people.

Nepean Sportsplex is a sports facility in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located at 1701 Woodroffe Avenue north of the Ottawa Greenbelt, near the former Confederation High School along OC Transpo routes 74 and 75 in the former city of Nepean. This is the home arena to the Nepean Raiders hockey team of the Central Canada Hockey League.

Fallowfield station (French: gare de Fallowfield) or Fallowfield Train Station is an inter-city passenger railway station and bus rapid transit station located at 3347 Fallowfield Road in the suburban neighbourhood of Barrhaven in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Confederation High School was an Ottawa area high school from 1967 to 1999. The building is still owned by the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board and is used for offices, community events, and sports.

Tanglewood, also known as Tanglewood-Hillsdale is a suburban neighbourhood in Knoxdale-Merivale Ward in the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located within the former City of Nepean in the west end of the city. It is located in the federal and provincial ridings of Nepean-Carleton. It is informally bounded by CN Railway to the north, Merivale Road to the east, Hunt Club Road to the south, and Woodroffe Avenue to the west.

Country Place is a residential neighbourhood near the geographical centre of Ottawa, Canada, in Knoxdale-Merivale Ward. Prior to 2001, it was part of the former city of Nepean. It is a mature residential subdivision with about 400 houses located just inside the Ottawa greenbelt near the Rideau River, and about 11 km from downtown Ottawa. It is bordered by the Black Rapids Creek and the greenbelt to the south, Prince of Wales Drive to the east, Merivale Road to the west, and the Pineglen community to the north. Amberwood Crescent meanders through the community, exiting onto Prince of Wales and Merivale. Tennyson Drive links Country Place to Pineglen. Houses in Country Place were built mostly in the early 1970s and are similar in size and design. The only exceptions are houses on Campfield Ct. which was built in the 1980s on land that had originally been set aside for a possible school. The community has an active community association that runs events several times a year, maintains an outdoor rink in the winter, and helps promote the interests of the residents. Country Place is within the Knoxdale-Merivale Ward of the City of Ottawa.

Crestview is a neighbourhood in College Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It was originally part of the City of Nepean before amalgamation with Ottawa in 2001. Together with the neighbouring community of Meadowlands, the area is served by the Crestview-Meadowlands Community Association. The community association's boundaries are Meadowlands Drive on the north, Merivale Road on the east, the CN Railtracks on the south and Woodroffe Avenue on the west.Most of the homes are bungalows which were popular in the 1950s and early 1960s. Later on, townhouses were built behind Merivale Mall and another section was built on Viewmount at the corner of Sullivan and Parkside Crescent. The neighbourhood is believed to be named after the shape of Viewmount Drive going in a crest. Originally, Viewmount ended at Meirvale Road and was extended to Fisher Avenue in the early 1980s for the development of Fisher Glen.

Merivale High School is a public high school in the Borden Farm neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The school is known for its International Baccalaureate student program, but also runs French Immersion programs and visual art, music, and co-operative education programs. Despite being designed for over two thousand students, Merivale High School's population fell to an all-time low of 650 students for the 2013–14 school year. This is attributed to changing neighbourhood demographics, as well as new schools in the subdivision of Barrhaven. It was announced in October 2016 that Merivale High School would add both grades 7 and 8 to increase student enrollment for the 2017–18 school year. With the addition of grade 7 and 8 students from various feeder schools, the student body increased to around 1200.

Longfields is a neighbourhood in Barrhaven Ward in Ottawa, Ontario. This recent neighbourhood is located within the growing suburb of Barrhaven in the city's southwest and is bordered by Greenbank Road to the west, Strandherd Drive to the south, Woodroffe Avenue to the east, the CNR railway on the northwest and Fallowfield Road to the north.Longfields was mostly built in the early 1990s during a period of major expansion. Barrhaven's most recent high school, Longfields-Davidson Heights Secondary School, is located in this neighbourhood. Also, a station in the transitway corridor (also named Longfields) was built and opened in the Spring of 2011 [1][2]. There are also plans for major development south of Longfields with a large employment zone as well as a possible expansion of the O-Train north-south light rail project.

Manordale is a neighbourhood in Knoxdale-Merivale Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the former City of Nepean. It is bounded on the north and west by Knoxdale Road, east by Woodroffe Avenue, and south by Hunt Club Road. According to the Canada 2011 Census this area has a population of 1,947.Established in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The homes are mainly bungalows which also features rental townhouses on Woodroffe. Manordale was considered the first neighbourhood developed in the Knoxdale ward. Later in the decade Woodvale, north of Knoxdale was developed.
