Gradac, Metlika

Klošter (pronounced [ˈkloːʃtəɾ]; German: Kloster) is a settlement on the left bank of the Lahinja River in the Municipality of Metlika in the White Carniola area of southeastern Slovenia. The entire area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. The local church, built north of the settlement, at the confluence of the Krupa with the Lahinja, is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and belongs to the Parish of Podzemelj. It was built in the second half of the 15th century and was remodelled in the Baroque syle when it was extended in the 17th century. The belfry was added in 1828.

Okljuka (pronounced [ɔˈkljuːka]) is a small settlement on the right bank of the Lahinja River, south of Gradac in the Municipality of Metlika in the White Carniola area of southeastern Slovenia. The entire area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region.

The Krupa is a 2.5 km (1.6 mi) river in White Carniola, southeastern Slovenia. Its source is a karst spring in the village of Krupa below a rock wall. The bed has canyon characteristics in some places. At Gradac, the river joins the Lahinja from the left side. Its drop from the source to the outflow is only 6 metres (20 ft). The river is protected as a natural monument and has been included in the Natura 2000 ecological network. It is the main feature of the Lebica–Krupa Karst Nature Trail (Slovene: Kraška učna pot od Lebice do Krupe). Its source lake is the only habitat of the cave mollusk Congeria kusceri in Slovenia, found in Cave Mussel Spring (Izvir Jamske školjke). It is also home to some cave snails and the olm. The Krupa River is infamous because of its extremely high pollution with PCBs due to improper handling of PCB waste material, which has been used for decades by the capacitor manufacturing company Iskra Kondenzatorji in nearby Semič.

Vranoviči (pronounced [ˈwɾaːnɔʋitʃi]; German: Uranowitsch) is a settlement on the left bank of the Lahinja River in the Municipality of Črnomelj in the White Carniola area of southeastern Slovenia. The railway line from Črnomelj to Metlika runs alongside the main road through the settlement. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region.

Geršiči (pronounced [ˈɡeːɾʃitʃi]) is a small settlement in the hills north of Gradac in the Municipality of Metlika in the White Carniola area of southeastern Slovenia. The railway line from Novo Mesto to Metlika runs just north of the settlement. The entire area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region.

Moverna Vas (pronounced [ˈmoːʋɛɾna ˈʋaːs]; Slovene: Moverna vas, German: Moverndorf) is a small village in the Municipality of Semič in Slovenia. It lies on the left bank near the source of the Krupa River, a left tributary of the Lahinja River. The area is part of the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. Artefacts from the mesolithic, neolithic, chalcolithic, and Bronze Age periods have been identified in a karst cave known as the Jew's House (Slovene: Judovska hiša).
