Thornlea Secondary School

Thornlea station was a station in Ontario, Canada served by CN commuter trains bound for Capreol/Parry Sound. The station was 16 miles north of Toronto Union. The station closed when CN's commuter services through the Bala Subdivision were discontinued. GO Transit's Richmond hill line operates services through the station's site but trains don't call at Thornlea station, instead calling at new stations in Old Cummer and Langstaff.

The TMS School Elgin Mills Campus, which opened its doors in September 2009, is an International Baccalaureate (IB) facility for students in TMS Upper School (Grades 7 to 12) – an IB World School with both the IB Middle Years Programme and the IB Diploma Programme. Also located at the Bayview Campus address is the Toronto Montessori Institute (TMI), founded in 1971 and one of the oldest teacher training Montessori schools in Canada. Langstaff GO Station is a train and bus station in the GO Transit network located in Richmond Hill, Ontario in Canada. It is a stop on the Richmond Hill line train service. In May 2005, construction of a new and more modern station building was completed, replacing the previous station building at Langstaff Road and using the north end of the same train platform. The south building was converted to a waiting room after the new station building opened for service on June 6, 2005. The new building has a ticket office for passengers to purchase bus and train tickets on weekday mornings. Langstaff Road East was the original routing of Highway 7 between Yonge Street and Bayview Avenue. When Highway 7 was upgraded, an overpass was constructed over the Canadian National Railway tracks, and the area north of Langstaff road became a large commuter parking lot. With the construction of Highway 407, the south lot was reduced in size, but newer developments north of the former Highway 7 led to the building of the new terminal. The south parking lot has a kiss and ride loop. The future extension of Line 1 of the Toronto subway will serve Langstaff GO station and the adjacent Richmond Hill Centre Terminal at Bridge station, with the extension expected to open in 2031.

Richmond Hill Centre Terminal is a York Region Transit, Viva, and GO Transit bus terminal in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Despite its name, the terminal is not located in downtown Richmond Hill, but is situated 4 km (2.5 miles) to the south at the city's southern limits, bordering Vaughan and Markham, near the connecting road that links the grade-separated Yonge Street and Highway 7 intersection. It opened on September 4, 2005. It is immediately west of the Langstaff GO train station, but is separated by the tracks. A pedestrian bridge over the tracks was opened in March 2008 to connect the bus terminal and the train station. Public washrooms were added to the terminal in December 2012.

ATI Technologies Inc., commonly called ATI, was a Canadian semiconductor technology corporation based in Markham, Ontario, that specialized in the development of graphics processing units and chipsets. Founded in 1985, the company listed publicly in 1993 and was acquired by AMD in 2006. As a major fabrication-less or fabless semiconductor company, ATI conducted research and development in-house and outsourced the manufacturing and assembly of its products. With the decline and eventual bankruptcy of 3dfx in 2000, ATI and its chief rival Nvidia emerged as the two dominant players in the graphics processors industry, eventually forcing other manufacturers into niche roles. The acquisition of ATI in 2006 was important to AMD's strategic development of its Fusion generation of computer processors, which integrated general processing abilities with graphics processing functions within a chip. Since 2010, AMD's graphics processor products have ceased using the ATI brand name.

Thornhill is a suburban district in the Regional Municipality of York in Ontario, Canada. The western portion of Thornhill is within the City of Vaughan and its eastern portion is within the City of Markham, with Yonge Street forming the boundary between Vaughan and Markham. Thornhill is situated along the northern border of Toronto, centred on Yonge, and is also immediately south of the City of Richmond Hill. Once a police village, Thornhill is still a postal designation. As of 2016, its total population, including both its Vaughan and Markham sections, was 112,719.

Langstaff is a residential area at the tripoint of the cities of Richmond Hill, Markham, and Vaughan in York Region, Ontario, Canada. Located near Highway 7 and Yonge Street, the homes in the area date to the 1960s and 1970s. The East Don River and CN Rail Bala subdivision runs through the area. Langstaff is a former hamlet likely named for John Langstaff (1774-1865), a settler who arrived sometime between 1803 and 1808 from Piscataway, Middlesex, New Jersey and established a farm along Yonge Street. The living members of the family are longer living in the area, as descendants of James Langstaff have moved out of Ontario. The old farm became the notorious Langstaff Jail Farm, which has since disappeared and the area is now dominated by a retail strip. The only reminder of the Langstaff family is Langstaff Road.
