Jerome Avenue

The Fordham Road station is a local station on the IRT Jerome Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Fordham Road and Jerome Avenue in the Bronx, it is served by the 4 train at all times. This station was constructed by the Interborough Rapid Transit Company as part of the Dual Contracts and opened in 1917.

Monroe College is a Private for-profit college based in New York City. It was founded in 1933 and has campuses in the Bronx, New Rochelle, and Saint Lucia with an extension site in Manhattan. The college is named after James Monroe, the fifth President of the United States. Monroe College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

St. James' Episcopal Church and Parish House is a historic Episcopal church at 2500 Jerome Avenue and 190th Street, in the Fordham neighborhood of The Bronx in New York City. It was founded July 5, 1853, becoming the first Episcopal parish in Fordham. The parish at first met at the Manor Reformed Church on Kingsbridge Road, then on June 11, 1854 acquired an old schoolhouse for use. On October 1, 1854, the Rev. Joshua Weaver became its first rector.

Fordham Road is a major thoroughfare in the Bronx, New York City, that runs west-east from the Harlem River to Bronx Park. Fordham Road houses the borough's largest and most diverse shopping district. It geographically separates the North Bronx from the South Bronx. This street runs through the neighborhood of University Heights, divides Fordham from Fordham-Bedford and finally runs along the northern border of Belmont. Fordham Road is divided into East Fordham Road and West Fordham Road by Jerome Avenue following after the Manhattan grid, with address numbers for both the East Fordham Road and West Fordham Road increasing away from Jerome Avenue. Fordham Road is under the management of the Fordham Road Business Improvement District, a non-profit organization under contract with the City of New York. The BID maintains, develops, and markets the merchants along Fordham Road and hosts many community events throughout the year.

Fordham is a neighborhood located in the western Bronx, New York City. Fordham is roughly bordered by East 196th Street to the north, Webster Avenue to the east, Burnside Avenue to the south, and Jerome Avenue to the west. St. Nicholas of Tolentine High School was a four-year, coeducational Catholic high school located in the University Heights neighborhood of the Bronx, New York. A parochial school operated by the parish of the same name, St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church, it opened in 1927 and closed in 1991, after years of declining enrollment. The final class of 68 students graduated on June 14, 1991.The school was known for its basketball program. In 1975, Tolentine had the city's top-ranked high school basketball team. It won the Catholic High School Athletic Association basketball championship in 1980–1982 and 1988.

The 182nd–183rd Streets station is a local station on the IND Concourse Line of the New York City Subway. It is served by D train at all times except rush hours in the peak direction and the B train during rush hours.

St. James Park is a public park in Fordham, Bronx, New York City. It is located in between Jerome Avenue and Creston Avenue. New York City purchased the land on September 13, 1897, graded it, and created the park. It is named after the neighboring St. James' Episcopal Church and Parish House. A recreation center, originally for senior citizens, was built in the park in 1974.

Webb Sanitarium was a Bronx hospital that expanded in 1938. Even prior to that, Webb (located at 188th Street and Webb Avenue) served as a general hospital, including medical/surgical and maternity services.
