Belmont Cave

Dunn's Hole is a large chamber cave in Trelawny Parish, Jamaica. It consists of a very large chamber approximately 200 metres long, 100 metres wide and 80 metres high, located at the bottom of a 200-metre pit. It is the largest known underground chamber in Jamaica. The main chamber contains a large stalagmite approximately 8 metres high.

Stewart Town is a town that was established in Trelawny Parish, Jamaica in 1812. It was named after James Stewart, the Custos for Trelawney Parish 1800-1821.

The Westwood High School is a school located in Stewart Town, Trelawny, Jamaica. It was founded in 1882 by Baptist Minister Reverend William Menzie Webb with the aim to provide unsegregated education for girls. The school also set up a board of trustees to represent the different Protestant denominations. It caters to secondary students and after 36 years reopened its sixth-form programme in 2014. Westwood is among the five boarding remaining in Jamaica and has been the only school to retain the tradition of wearing a jippi-jappa (Panama) hat.Amy Ashwood Garvey, a Pan-Africanist activist and the first wife of Marcus Mosiah Garvey, was a student of the school. Iris Collins, the first woman elected to the House of Representatives, also attended the school. Gwendolyn Spencer, a nurse and midwife who co-founded the Jamaican Midwives' Association, also attended the school. Anne Walmsley, an editor, scholar, critic and author, taught at the school for three years.

The Dry Harbour Mountains are a range of mountains in north central Jamaica. More accurately described as a plateau than a true mountain range, they form the eastern boundary of the Cockpit Country. This is also the mountain that people used to go and pray. The Dry Harbour Mountains starts from Discovery Bay, St. Ann and covers most settlements all the way to the eastern end of the Cockpit Country. It is a mountain which abounds in limestone and bauxite. The soil type is latosol which is of red iron and aluminium oxide. The Dry Harbour Mountains is some 2,200 feet above sea level and many areas are very cool. The area is covered in rich verdant pastures and numerous trees. In many areas the wet limestone forest is a riotous profuse of trees. Many prominent districts are part of this plateau region of Jamaica. Nine Mile, the home of Bob Marley; Alexandria; Aboukir; Clarksonville, Inverness; Tobolski; Gibraltar; Watt Town; Bethany; Murray Mountain (the marijuana centre) and McKenzie; Cascade; Battersea, the home of the famous Basil Robinson; Bohemia; Wild Cane are some of the numerous settlements in the Dry Harbour Mountains. Aboukir is the birthplace of Harry Belafonte's mother and where Harry lived as a child.

Brown's Town is one of the principal towns in St. Ann Parish, Jamaica. In 1991, its population was 6,762. The town is a market and road center in an agricultural region.

York Castle High School is a co-educational secondary school in Jamaica. The school has educated some of the region's best leaders and it continues to play a pivotal role in Jamaica's development.

Discovery Bay is a town in Saint Ann Parish on the northern coast of Jamaica. The city is also known locally as Dry Harbour, and gives its name to the Dry Harbour Mountains in St. Ann. There is a dispute as to whether Christopher Columbus first landed in Discovery Bay or Sevilla la Nueva (east of Discovery Bay) in 1494. Near to the city are Puerto Seco Beach and several historic sites, such as the Green Grotto Caves and Columbus Park. Visitors to the Green Grotto Caves can see relics of the native Taíno Arawak lifestyle there. It is said that many Spaniards escaped the English invasion of 1655 through secret passages in the caves with the help of Arawaks and African slaves, in exchange for the slaves' freedom.

Rio Bueno is a settlement in Jamaica. It has a population of 1,096 as of 2009.Rio Bueno, is a small seaside village on the border between the parishes of St Ann and Trelawny, and owes its importance, history and livelihood to the Rio Bueno Harbour, which is the deepest harbour in Jamaica, and perhaps one of the reasons why Columbus dropped anchor there on his first visit to Jamaica.
