The Canadian Museum of Nature (French: Musée canadien de la nature; CMN) is a national natural history museum based in Canada's National Capital Region. The museum's exhibitions and public programs are housed in the Victoria Memorial Museum Building, a 18,910 square metres (203,500 sq ft) structure in Ottawa, Ontario. The museum's administrative offices and scientific centres are housed at a separate location, the Natural Heritage Campus, in Gatineau, Quebec. The museum originated from a museum established by the Geological Survey of Canada in 1856. Originally based in Montreal, the museum relocated to downtown Ottawa in 1881. In 1911, the museum relocated to Victoria Memorial Museum Building. Initially, a natural history museum, the institution later expanded to include an anthropology and human history department; with the institution renamed the National Museum of Canada in 1927. The departments of the national museum were later split into separate national institutions, with the natural history department forming the National Museum of Natural Sciences in 1968. The museum adopted its current name in 1990 after it was made its own autonomous crown corporation. From 2004 to 2010 the museum renovated and expanded the Victoria Memorial Museum Building. The museum's collection contains over 14.6 million specimens relating to the natural world, several of which are displayed in the museum's permanent exhibitions. The museum also hosts and organizes several travelling exhibitions, as well as support and conducts several research programs relating to natural history.

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada is the former diplomatic mission of Iranian government. It was located at 245 Metcalfe Street in the Centretown neighbourhood of Ottawa, across the street from the Booth House, currently home to the Laurentian Leadership Centre. Iran moved into the facilities in the summer of 1991; previously they had been based in a building on Roosevelt Avenue in Ottawa's west end. The ambassador lived in a house on Acacia Avenue in Rockcliffe Park, near Stornoway. On September 7, 2012, the Canadian government announced it would expel all remaining Iranian diplomats in Canada within five days. As of September 17, 2012, Canadian interests in Iran are represented by the Italian Embassy in Tehran and the Canadian Embassy in Ankara.

The Ottawa Auditorium was a 7,500-seat arena located in Ottawa, Ontario. It was located in Downtown Ottawa at the corner of O'Connor and Argyle Streets, today the site of the Taggart Family YMCA. Built primarily for ice hockey, the arena was also used for sports events, assemblies and musical concerts.

French speaking Protestants are a very small minority in Canada, but one with a history dating back to early Huguenot settlers.

The Embassy of Hungary in Ottawa is the embassy of Hungary to Canada. It is located in the historic Birkett Castle at 306 Metcalfe Street in the Centretown neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario, with the main entrance via the adjacent embassy annex at 299 Waverley Street. Hungary maintained a Consulate General in Toronto which closed on November 27, 2009, but it has since been re-opened at a new location in Toronto as of April 18, 2014. Hungary also maintains Honorary Consulates in Montreal, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver. "Extramural consular days" are held at various times in other locations across the country.

Minto Park is a park in downtown Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It occupies a full city block, meeting Elgin Street on the park's west side, Gilmour Street on the north, Cartier Street on the east, and Lewis Street on the south. It contains picnic benches, street lights and several monuments, including Enclave: The Ottawa Women's Monument (a memorial to women who were murdered and abused by men) and a bust of Argentinian general José de San Martín.

The Ottawa Curling Club is an historic curling club located on O'Connor Street in the Centretown neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is the oldest curling club in Ottawa, established in 1851 by Allan Gilmour as the Bytown Curling Club. The Club first played on the Rideau Canal until 1858. It subsequently moved to different locations around the city until finally settling at its current location on O'Connor in 1916. In 1931 the club was expanded to the current capacity of 5 curling sheets. Artificial ice was also installed at that time. The club is home to 2017 World Champion and 2018 and 2022 Olympian Rachel Homan, and is the former home of 1998 and 1999 Junior Men's World Curling Champion and 2018 and 2022 Olympian John Morris. The Ottawa Curling Club is one of two clubs in Downtown Ottawa, the other is the Rideau Curling Club, which maintains a rivalry with the Ottawa.

The Public Service Alliance of Canada Building is a modernist elliptical office building in Ottawa, Ontario, constructed in 1968 as the national headquarters for the Public Service Alliance of Canada. Designed by Paul Schoeler of Schoeler & Heaton Architects, the 12-storey building is located at the intersection of Gilmour and Metcalfe. The building was a recipient of a Ontario Association of Architects Award. In 2000, the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada chose the building as one of the top 500 buildings produced in Canada during the last millennium.

The Canadian Museums Association (CMA; French: Association des musées canadiens, AMC), is a national non-profit organization for the promotion of museums in Canada. It represents Canadian museum professionals both within Canada and internationally. As with most trade associations, it aims to improve the recognition, growth and stability of its constituency. Its staff supports their nearly 2,000 members with conferences, publications, and networking opportunities.CMA members include national museums, non-profit museums, art galleries, science centres, aquariums, archives, sport halls-of-fame, artist-run centres, zoos and historic sites across Canada. They range from large metropolitan galleries to small community museums. All are dedicated to preserving and presenting Canada's cultural heritage to the public.
